I got my nails done once here but since my partner's family lives in NJ I will definitely be coming…read moreback! Super friendly staff, great environment. Surprisingly the salon doesn't smell like a "nail salon" (the smell of monomer and nail polish)! They did an amazing job on my nails! Ps. Apologies for the style of pics... I was in a mood

I have been coming to this nail salon for about a year and a half now and I've always left more…read morethan happy. Last Tuesday I came in and got a spa pedicure from Ana (who I get my toes done by every time) and requested black gel polish for my toes to match my nails. Unfortunately, when I got home and was in the sun, I realized that the color on my toes was in fact, a navy blue instead of black. When I called the following Monday and spoke to Peter, I had explained to him that I didn't realize until I got outside in the sun that the color was navy blue instead of black as well as the gel on my toenails had already been peeling and chipping. He said absolutely come in and we will fix all of that for you. I just went in about half an hour ago and tried to explain this to one of the technicians, Suzie. As a reference, I had been going to Suzie for my nails for about 6 to 10 months, until she left for maternity leave. I've always left incredibly happy and she was always very friendly. This was now the third time I've been there since she has returned from maternity leave and she has been incredibly rude to me (talking about me to another technician and talking to me with a lot of attitude). After she fixed the big toe that you can clearly see in the picture is the color black, I asked her can you please fix the other toes to match this one. She had said fix all of the toenails? I answered, yes because the color that's on my big toe is now not matching the rest of the color on my other toes. I reminded her that I had spoke to Peter and he said I could come in and that it would get fixed. She said we don't have a navy blue color like this. Out of frustration and not wanting to start an argument while having my one year-old with me, I said OK thanks and left. I'm not really sure why this technician treats me this way but the last three times I've been there she has been incredibly rude to me. Unfortunately, I will not be returning to the salon which really saddens me because I was always very very happy with the service and the interaction with the technicians!

Alpha Nails has become my standard for nail salons - there, I said it! After re-reading everything…read morethat I said in 2017, I can firmly say that my old review still stands true (and I encourage you to read it). I wish I can take this place and transplant it to my hometown up north. And yes, I am THAT PERSON who will shift her schedule to come down here just to get my nails done - call me crazy, but I gotta do what I gotta do! So, first things first - Alpha Nails is not a fancy salon, but it does its job. It's a salon for the working woman (and well-groomed working man / person). I am sure there are bougier salons in the area if you want a place that's more *aesthetic.* This is a salon that takes a large volume of customers and offers a wide array of services. In fact, that's probably the best part about this place - you rarely wait for your appointment (unless it's peak time in summer and the place is slammed) and you are out quickly for most services - not to mention, the prices are extremely fair. They will take walk-ins but in the summer, this place gets super packed. I've been to a few techs here, but I always return to Anna. She's THE BEST nail artist I've ever been to. Whether the design is simple or complex, Anna continually delivers (seem some of my photos for proof). I do not know how she works her magic with that little paintbrush of hers - it's actually insane. In addition, I can push my nails to six weeks after she's done (which I don't recommend, but sometimes I am desperate) and they will NOT BUDGE. They have NEVER fallen off! She has also occasionally called me personally if there is a time issue - because she knows I am traveling from up north - which I think is such a thoughtful gesture. (PS - I usually do a gel mani with her!) In addition, now that I've gotten to know Alpha Nails, they are so incredibly warm and welcoming to their returning customers. They were hospitable when they didn't know me personally, but now that I've been coming here since 2017 (yikes! time flies), there is a different level of congeniality. They treat their returning customers well - and that's a sign of a good business! Several customers here are summerbirds (like me) and they always return to Alpha Nails. I've also gotten my eyebrows waxed here and pedicures. I will admit they've cut back on their standard pedicure over the last few years (who hasn't cut back), but their spa pedicures are totally worth it if you want to splurge. In a way, Alpha Nails has ruined my experience for other nail salons because I will forever compare all other salons to this one. This is a family-run local business that I am proud to support!

It's the basics for the same amount as everywhere else. Sometimes more. No how are you doing today?…read moreNo wash your hands before or at the end before the polish. No cleaning up any polish that got on the inside of the nails or anything. Strong glue lasted a long time, but when I went to have them removed after eight weeks not even two minutes of soaking and ripped up most of my nail with the tip, which I probably could've done myself. And I'm a polite person so of course I still end up tipping. There are other places looking for some more good customers who will take their time and do a job not only you can be happy with but the salon can be proud of. The price has change from when you call into when you go in although they did honor it when I called them out on it. but make sure you know what you're paying and what you're getting before you sit down and if you don't care about the experience and would even like it to be faster than it used to be, or is elsewhere if you don't mind, skipping a hand, massage or lotion or washing before putting the polish on, this may be the place for you. But if you're looking for any kind of relaxation for your 60+ bucks, without any special colors or design... you might look further.

Looking for a new nail salon since moving to South Jersey…read more Called and made appointment for a regular manicure and pedicure. Told on the phone appointments not necessary, walk in welcome. I stated I prefer appointment. Arrived, plenty of parking. Salon was busy, lots of clients. Thought to myself, ok good sign so far. Greeted at the desk. Instructed to wash my hands and pick a color. No other guidance. I walked into salon, looking for a sink. Sink located halfway into the salon. I didn't see any nail color bottles. So I had to go to the front desk and ask where are the nail colors. Directed to the nail color books on a shelf by the entrance. Picked my color, was seated at a station. Shortly afterwards, asked to move to another station. Manicurist I specifically requested she focus on my cuticles. Manicure took maybe 10 minutes. Proceed to pedicure. Toe nails looked good, even though I still had some rough skin patches on the soles of my feet. I looked at my finger nails and disappointed. My nails and hands shouldn't look like immediately after a manicure. Went to drying station for a few minutes. Went to pay, I was asked for my tickets. I wasn't given tickets. Cashier has to go to manicurists to get tickets. Appointment was for 2pm and paid by 2:34pm on receipt. The actual time was about 2:45pm. Expensive manicure that looked horrible. I asked for regular manicure and pedicure- charged for upgraded nail service. Nothing upgraded about my manicure, I would say the exact opposite, definite downgrade. As a first time client, a little bit more guidance on where the sink and colors are. Manicure needs to be done properly. My finger nails already chips by the evening.

The workers are just plain rude. Overpriced. A fill is the same price as regular set. Everything is…read morejust too expensive for quick, sped up service and no mannerisms.

Do not go here, they refuse to do nails properly. They are extremely aggressive and I regret not…read morewalking out after the way I was treated. Below is my Google review... Holy moly worst nail experience I've ever had. I for one love to pay for a luxury service to be treated like a subhuman piece of garbage. Refused to do soak off and sent over the little guy to tell me "they were too busy" when I said filing off takes off natural nail he rolled his eyes at me, then proceeded to argue with me about what product was on my nail... was only the gel, Tina then aggressively filed my nails and finger skin, aggressively cut my nails way too short when I asked for a little less length, all my nails are different lengths rn btw, did white polish that is completely see-through, only one layer of top coat and no finishing work, finish job is lumpy and looks like a kindergartener tried to do nails for the first time. She filed the Polish at the end so now the seal is broken, I have gel all over my cuticles and they are shiny. This is why I do my nails at home and this experience just solidified that choice I constantly make. I will never be coming back and I will never be bringing back my step children for pedicures either. *Response to owner* 1. So you admit to engaging in improper nail practices as your standard, cool. 2. That is a lie, that is not how that conversation went down. In addition, it did not take her almost an hour to get the polish off my nails. I was paid and in my car by 6:00 p.m. I came in at 5:00pm and waited 10 minutes before I got sat down then waited for Tina to arrive another 2-3 minutes. You and the technician fought with me about the product on my nail for about 15 minutes. She rushed the entire job and none of that excuses the aggression or uneven nails. 3. Don't tell stories. As I already said in my post, I will not be back.

She never once asked what shape I wanted or if I even wanted to cut down my nails that I've been growing for months so i wouldn't have to get acrylic. She just started filling down my nails getting rid of more than half of my grown out nails. When she started on the French design I told her I didn't like it so I showed her a photo of how I would like it. She laughed and said she would have to add tips to my nails for that kind of French because my nails were too short. The nails that she filled down without asking. So I showed her another style but I didn't like how it looked on my botched short nails. So she called another nail tech to quickly do my nails. I went on a Saturday and it's Thursday but most of my gel polish has already came off. Please don't go here.
