Do not go here, they refuse to do nails properly. They are extremely aggressive and I regret not walking out after the way I was treated. Below is my Google review... Holy moly worst nail experience I've ever had. I for one love to pay for a luxury service to be treated like a subhuman piece of garbage. Refused to do soak off and sent over the little guy to tell me "they were too busy" when I said filing off takes off natural nail he rolled his eyes at me, then proceeded to argue with me about what product was on my nail... was only the gel, Tina then aggressively filed my nails and finger skin, aggressively cut my nails way too short when I asked for a little less length, all my nails are different lengths rn btw, did white polish that is completely see-through, only one layer of top coat and no finishing work, finish job is lumpy and looks like a kindergartener tried to do nails for the first time. She filed the Polish at the end so now the seal is broken, I have gel all over my cuticles and they are shiny. This is why I do my nails at home and this experience just solidified that choice I constantly make. I will never be coming back and I will never be bringing back my step children for pedicures either. *Response to owner* 1. So you admit to engaging in improper nail practices as your standard, cool. 2. That is a lie, that is not how that conversation went down. In addition, it did not take her almost an hour to get the polish off my nails. I was paid and in my car by 6:00 p.m. I came in at 5:00pm and waited 10 minutes before I got sat down then waited for Tina to arrive another 2-3 minutes. You and the technician fought with me about the product on my nail for about 15 minutes. She rushed the entire job and none of that excuses the aggression or uneven nails. 3. Don't tell stories. I have been going here for over a year for fills and Loan is the best! I won't go to anyone else. Everyone is always so friendly.

I have been coming to Studio Nails for a year to get regular manicures and pedicures. The last manicure I received chipped within two days. I have always had a wonderful experience here except for this last visit. I paid $50 plus tip which makes it $60 for a pedicure and manicure which I am happy to do when I receive quality service. All the other times I came here the manicure lasted over a week. I ended up getting two colors. The one color was the one that chipped which shows me that the quality of the nail polish wasn't good and maybe was old. So I called and they told me to come in. Upon coming in the man sitting at the front desk seemed annoyed that I had to get six nails fixed. I asked them to change the color since the polish wasn't good. You would think that he would change all six to a different color and start from scratch. He completely fixed two nails and touched up the one. He then told me that he was no longer going to be offering, regular pedicures and regular manicures. He never said sorry. Overall, a terrible experience and horrible customer service. The customer is always right, and if they pay good money, they should receive the service that they paid for. I will no longer be going there. read more

A bit underwhelming and disappointed with the uncleanliness of the place. It does not look like they had vacuumed or wiped anything down in days - not great during COVID and just in general. They also had a loose small dog around that was unexpected. The client chairs are all old and tattered, nothing is cleaned in between clients. Overall i was a little skeeved out for a beauty salon. It was my first time here and I wanted to try it because it's local, it was fine and quick for what I needed but not going to be my go to spot. Studio Nails is the worst place, and the owner is a liar. I have been going there for 2 years and I had a very bad experience, so they offered me a free pedi next time. Well, that didn't happen. After I was assured that my free pedi was in the system, I just came back from appointment where the owner said he never said that and gave me 1/2 price instead of free. He said he never said that, calling me a liar. I have told so many about this place and how great they are, but not anymore. When I said I'll never be back, he said OK, you don't have to come back. I remember having come here once before ... and they did a good job, but we thought it was a bit pricey. I was sick of going to the place I usually patronize, so I drove up the street a few blocks from my home to check it out. The salon is very large, beautiful, clean, organized, AND air-conditioned (during these dog days of July)! Business was brisk and I was a walk-in, but they took me immediately! Jennie did my pedicure, gel fill, and polish, and she, in my opinion, was fantastic!! Totally worth it, and I did not perceive it to be overpriced at this point! Absolutely the worst gel manicure I have ever gotten. He started to cut my nails before asking me and ended up cutting them so short they didn't even go past my fingertips. After the gel set and he told me to wash my hands, I noticed that my nails were badly filed down, very sharp at some spots and not evenly done. The color was not even painted all the way down the nail. Also, he did not do a hand massage like all other places do. I will NEVER return here. My sister got a full set gel, they left glue all over her fingers and did her glitter art upside down. read more

My sister went to them for her birthday because she never does anything nice for herself and works long hours in the medical field. She asked for something simple a blue faded to pink almond shape set and was left with this instead. She asked her nail tech for clarification on what they were doing and they never answered. If her nail tech couldn't do it what she wanted then they should have communicated with her on that and figured out another way to make her happy. From the moment she came in they made her feel like she was an annoyance. After two hours of sitting there getting her nails done she was rushed out the door. She left crying and super upset. She's never the type of person to leave a bad review but I sure will. Very unprofessional. Don't go here if you want to be rushed and left with your nails looking like this. Absolutely horrible experience. I walked out. They ruined my healthy nail by ripping of extensions instead of using proper removal methods. The lady yelled at me and tried getting me to soak my hands in acetone for 45 min. This is externally dangerous. Absolutely worst pedicure experience that I have ever had. The lady that did mine was so rough, she made six of my toes bleed while doing my cuticles and didn't take her time doing anything. The pedicure was 12 minutes and right after she finished painting she left for her break, definitely not good customer service. I used to go here all the time because it was close to my boyfriend's house. Was my regular place for a while, however they have gotten worse over time. They would always try to tell me I wait too long between fills, and that gel would be better. Finally got that instead which I do like, but even still the last few times I've gone they've just a worse and worse job. This last time, two of my nails had huge chunks break off after barely any regrowth. I also tried just the plain natural look of the gel without any color over the top, but he didn't even put a clear coat on top which I was a little disappointed with. Do not waste your time. I had to resign up for yelp because of how poorly I was just treated. The place was great until they switched owners. The owner did my nails tonight and he asked me not once but three times if I wanted gel. I told him no every time. I've been doing acrylics for years, always been fine for me. He told me the air brush machine was down and he would have to hand paint my nails. After he told me that, I see the other nail tech take another customer to the air brush machine and proceed to do her nails. When he was finally finished, he charged me 15 dollars more than I have ever paid. I questioned it nicely and he was rude and told me that I said okay to the gel polish. This owner completely lied! He threatened me and told me there are a lot of customers like me. It was HIM not ME. Rip off. Lost my business. P.S. - one of his employees whom I normally see complained about him to me the last time I was there, now I see why! read more

I have gotten gel acrylics at multiple places around Ocean County and Studio Nails is the ONLY place that does an outstanding job! They don't rush or do a sloppy job .. everything is super clean and super affordable ! I would usually pay 70 bucks at a crappy place when you can get a full gel set for way under that and have a better experience ! Fully recommended !! read more
