I had an awful experience at this nail salon. I ended up in a heated argument with the owner who also threatened me, I left nearly in tears, and spent 3 hours there for a simple powdered dip. The nail technician cut me badly, showing he had no idea what he was doing. He also struggled to glue on the tips, which kept falling off. I wish I had taken pictures after he "finished." Another technician then had to spend an additional hour fixing his mistakes. I'll post pictures of the final product, where you can see how horrendous my cuticles look. The first tech applied the powdered dip so far back that my skin was essentially glued down, and the new tech had to file it off. In addition, the nails were lumpy, thick, and appeared unfinished. I went to the cash register and told the owner what happened, explaining that I did not plan to pay for the service considering the circumstances. However, I wanted to tip the nail technician who spent an hour patching up my nails. The owner argued with me, saying that my nails were fixed now and expected me to pay full price. I explained that I had been there for 3 hours for a simple powdered dip manicure and that I did not trust the structure of the nails, considering the first nail tech struggled to even glue on the tips. The owner kept repeating, "But your nails are fixed now," over and over again while I was almost in tears. Then he asked me what I'd be willing to pay for the nails, and I said $30. The owner agreed but then followed up with, "But if you don't pay the $30, then I'm going to take your nails off." We continued to argue more as I stood there with my card ready to pay. I confronted the owner, saying, "Instead of apologizing for this major inconvenience after I just agreed to pay you, you threaten to take my nails off. How exactly do you plan to do that?" He said he would cut them off. I then asked how exactly he planned to do that, and if he was going to strap me down and cut my nails off, because I certainly wasn't going to sit back down willingly. I told the owner I could walk out the door right now and no one could stop me. Being the nice human I am, I STILL paid the $30 when I should have walked out of there. I DO NOT recommend this nail salon to anyone! All I wanted was a simple apology and money taken off of the bill. When I left there I still did not receive an apology. read more

One of the worst manicure's I've ever had. As long as you don't have an opinion on how you want your nails done, you are ok. They've kept me waiting up to an hour, with no sorry or explanation. Needed to get a broken nail repaired. The tech could only fix with glue. When I explained that I needed someone who can repair my nail properly, I got nothing but attitude. I went to Nail Care today. I was pleasantly surprised that it had all the precautions for COVID and there wasn't a lot of people. The owner did my manicure in less than 10 minutes and rushed me along to the pedicure which I wait 20 minutes to start. The pedicure was good but the woman doing it was very rude. Then I go to pay and they charged $50 for a manicure and pedicure (not gel). That is terrible price gauging. Most places charge $25 for both. I will never return. read more

WORST EXPERIENCE EVER Where do I even begin? I came here with an appointment with Lindsey thinking she was the LCN specialist. I made an appointment with her and was excited to be going somewhere that I didn't have to drive so far for. My LCN specialist was busy and I needed a fill. The first thing Lindsey said to me was, "these are the worst looking LCNs I have ever seen!" Really, because that's professional. I responded with "well they are the best I have ever seen considering very few places do LCN the correct way." She asked me who did my nails and does she use all the correct tools, I replied to every question. Yes, She specializes in LCN, went to school for LCN and she does an amazing job. I know what I am talking about when it comes to LCN. Well, Lindsey didn't appreciate that because apparently ...come to find out...she didn't go to to school for LCN. Anyone can do LCN there. Because you learn on the job right???? Then Lindsey asks me why LCN at other places is wrong, I tell her, because the way I get it done, you don't put fake tips on, you shape the nail with a sticker. She says, she doesn't think she can do that because my nail is too short. And that is a very old fashioned way that takes forever. I proceed to tell her my nail has been much shorter and my original nail lady always makes a nail. And as for taking forever, it doesn't take forever if you know what you are doing. Lindsey doesn't talk to me for about 15 minutes. Then another customer comes in who has an appointment with her. She sits down next to me and begins talking to Lindsey. While my nails were hardening under the UV light, LIndsey starts on the other customer and LOUDLY states that apparently she needs to go back to school. Passive aggressive much? Completely inappropriate. The woman obviously has no idea what just before she got there so she starts saying.."why?" "you have been a nail technician for how long?" After about 5 minutes she comes back over to me and starts wiping off my nails with alcohol. I got concerned that she thought she was done, so i asked, "you're going to file them right-" Lindsey cut me off and yelled "yes!" "unless you want them to look like this" and then laughed and looked at the customer next to me. And just when I thought she couldn't be any nastier she said to the customer; who she apparently worked on a lot, "I have something to tell you later." CLEARLY IT WAS ABOUT ME.... I turned to the customer and said.."Its about me." I think she was then embarrassed because she sucked up for the next 10 minutes while she finished. Asking me questions like she gave a shit. I left a $5 tip just to be the bigger person. But i will NEVER EVER go here again. And i will tell the world about this. When you go to get your nails done, you expect to relax and be pampered, you don't expect to get treated like shit and talked about like you are back in middle school. I had a gel manicure here on Saturday, the technician wound up making my fingers bleed twice, one of which bled for 30 minutes. I was told my skin was very sensitive and dry, which was believable given the fact it's winter. By Wednesday I had 4 nails pop off completely. I went to get them fixed and the same technician did them again. He then told me my nail polish popped off because my nails and skin were oily so the bonding agent didn't hold when on Saturday they were dry, allegedly. He also applied another layer of top coat to seal the nails on since the nails that did not peel off completely were peeling up on the edges. Now the top coat is chipping and snagging on everything. At this point I refuse to go have it fixed. For $25 plus tip my gel manicure should last more than 4 days without having to be fixed and a top coat should last more than 3 days. I've had better manicures from regular polish and longer lasting from a bottle of Wet n Wild. read more

I am giving this place a 3 star because it was my first.... there is always something special about first time...don't blush, you know what I am talking about. I enjoyed the whole experience. The place was clean and nicely laid out. I must say, it was a bit strange at first, me being the only male sitting among the women showing off our ugly feet... oh oh except for the guy with a smile on his face handling my wife's feet... hmmm but trying to get that out of my mind... the lady handling my special feet and making them look and feel good was interesting... just a little blood, not bad. Interesting, I see why women hang out at the salon... women chatting about nothing, talking on the phone while being pampered and doing nothing for 45 min etc.. No, No I didn't get polish... bitch... or manicure... I'm ready to get my next apt... yes do make an appointment. If it were possible to give no stars, that is what I would do. This is the worst nail salon. The person doing my nails was too busy on the phone to realize what they were doing. Consequently, they ended up cutting my finger badly enough to the point it was bleeding for over 20 minutes. Needless to say, I immediately had them stop doing my nails and will be taking my business elsewhere. While I understand mistakes happen, they made NO attempt to rectify the issue nor did they even apologize for my injury. This place sucks, if you ever find yourself in nail care. Get it the car and drive to studio nails. I went there to get my nails done, and they made them uneven, crooked , and over all way to short. I asked the lady for medium length and the acrylic is the same length as my regular nail. To make this experience worse when I asked for rose gold they gave me neon pink! They also charged $50 where as at studio nails they charge $25 and do a WAY better job. Over all I will never ever go back. When I moved to Beachwood I still was traveling back down to Tuckerton to get my nails done because I couldn't find a place that I loved here that did my nails like home. The first time I went to Nail Care I was impressed. I walked in with my husband and they were all very polite and willing to do whatever they could to keep me as a customer. I asked for a set of LCN pink and whites with a sculptured tip, but apparently my nails are too short for that. I got the fake tips put on instead. That was okay though, because I was going to get a Fourth of July theme added to my pink and whites and the girl there was taking great care to make sure everything was turning out perfectly. But when I told her that the tips were too long, she told me that I needed to get used to them because anything shorter would look silly. And when she finally finished putting the LCN gel on my nails and shaping them, I reminded her about the Fourth of July theme I wanted her to add. She replied that she had just spent over an hour making sure my nails were absolutely perfect and she refused to paint over them with any designs. Instead, she put a final pinkish gel coat over the top so my nails were no longer a crisp pink and white, but rather, a softer and more subtle french. I was slightly disappointed, but I thought that she really truly did not want to ruin all her hard work and was just being honest with what she felt capable of doing. I went back two weeks later for a fill and got a guy. He quickly filled my nails, filed them so they were no longer straight and even, and then put a clear gel coat on. A few months later I went back in for a new set of nails and asked for acrylic pink and whites. I got them, but they were done terribly! The 2 stars is because it's quite honestly, the cleanest nail salon I have ever been to. It's unfortunate that we had to wait 25 minutes after our appointment times to sit in a chair. Then they had to soak off the girls (as usual), an additional 10 minutes later I was sitting in my chair ready to get my nails done. The nail girl was ok. She didn't say 2 words to me, so I don't know her name, and my nails looked nice when they were done. It's a shame that it takes so long to get them done! ,,would have given 0 star if i could, I questioned the color I choose against bottle they gave me and noticed they werent the same yet, was told not once but twice that once applied they would match and that they were both the same number, I asked if maybe numbers were incorrect they said no, as we all know if you put a #2 on the sample nail and its pink and hand me a #2 bottle and its black, just because the numbers match doesnt mean the colors do, but apparentley , if the numbers are the same then the colors must be? ok, I gave them the benefit of the doubt, after completion, I matched nails to demo and surprise surprise, not the same, showed the so called owner and he tried to say they matched, asked several customers and they all said not even close, as this was my second bad experience,( the first was with a girl who was more concerned abt counting her tips in between doing my nails, telling me what i wanted instead of listening to me) I went back for what they called a "free redo" not free because I paid for the crappy job.. anyway aftertodays second incident he yelled at me and told me that he has a great business and doesnt need mine, told me to never come bak ( like I needed him to tell me that) then tried to charge me full price, which i refused to pay and didn't... scarey to think that a person who works with ppl so closely can have such anger issues..... do the job right and professionally the first time, and you won't have issues or complaints...there are nail salons on every corner, and the one i went to after I left Nail Care was "EXCELLENT & PROFESSIONAL AND LESS EXPENSIVE", so I really made out better in the long run, as I see from Brandy and Elisas' reviews Im not alone in my opinion of this salon...pretty set up doesnt cut it... maybe if your staff wasnt so overworked they could do a better job, give them a day off once in awhile!!! and BTW at Elisa , I had my experience the same day as you did. wish we were there at same time read more
