Then Jake complained I still have too much stuff, which is likely the standard complaint, because toward the end, we were still looking for things to fill the truck. They fill the truck with lots of gappy air, unlike what recommended on the U-Haul box and on YouTube tutorial. I found a few items damaged after the move and asked for a couple hundreds dollars which is only 1/3 of what it would cost for me to repair. They are by far one of the most scamming company . Initially they gave me an estimate of 2k . As soon as they got the early deposit (sales person name who will scam you) they stopped contacting me. On the day of the move I had to follow up 3 times . They gave time estimate 2 pm , arrived 7 pm . The person who arrived told me he is the driver and gave me an estimate if 6k instead . Despite Justin telling me there are no hidden fees and upper bound estimate . There are 5 glasses they added 1k . They had de 2k for labor fees , where I had to pack and bubble wrap all my kitchen stuff . This is by far the worst movers and will scam you and no one follows up . I had rather pay a full fledged service than getting involved with these people ever again. They keep sending me multiple bills and contracts and when I tried to look at old contracts they deleted those documents as well and access was denied , I should have known the sketch behavior. Also they didn't even move my couch and I only had 3 major furniture items to be moved . The driver , the coordinator and the sales are all basically irresponsible and made this one of the hardest move where I had to even cancel my travel plans And above all Justin told me delivery will be in 2-5 days and the person told me not for 14 days . And have experience all that they mention in their review. - I am more than 100% sure, the 5 star reviews are all fake. And there are less of 1 star reviews because these guys intimidate you. - I am writing a detailed one here so that no one else has to go through what I and others went through. Some Details : First call goes great. They promise everything boxes, tape, carpets, tv boxes, mattress protectors, wraps etc. and most appealing fixed price. But they don't come with any of that, very minimal boxes and limited tape (that's it). Please save yourself the mental agony, the hassle, the headache, your well-being and not a couple $s. Trust this and other reviews, you'll end happier and most importantly your stuff and your property will thank you! They don't come with enough boxes. Boxes are not moving boxes but the boxes amazon delivers the stuff in. Handful carpets and they don't wrap your stuff, just throw the carpet on top. Will not wrap your furniture (carpet or plastic). Will not handle property with care (even after you ask repeatedly to be cautious), will scratch, break, dent your stuff & property. In my case, they broke couple of my items, and I had to pay additional to get extra cleaning & repairs done at the premise I vacated. Overall, it costed me $1500 extra after the move and a lot of memories I had with my stuff. And I cannot even put a $ price to the headache, TIME and mental pain they caused me. Jake is borderline abusive. Gets very instructional as if you are working for him and not the other way around. Shows the job as a favor to you as if doing it for free (verbatim mentions that!). As someone else mentioned, he is a loose cannon. Super confrontational, aggressive and combative.- Not flexible at all but expects all flexibility from you. - No professionalism, no courtesy. - Big mouth, mentions that your stuff is his stuff, doesn't mean a hint of it. Irks over really small things (actually everything). - Changes timings on a super short notice. ALWAYS in a RUSH, from the moment they arrive, and they will never finish the job 100%. - Severely inappropriate remarks, conversations, interactions. Words cant express how appreciative I am of Jake and Royal Moving. We had reached out to several moving companies and people from task rabbit but to no avail. When our task rabbit helper didn't show up at 8pm I had lost all hope as we had a deadline to be out of our place by midnight. I found Jake on Craigslist and he responded to my text right away, next thing you know he showed up in 10 minutes. All we needed was to move one extra large piece of furniture and he took care of it in a matter of minutes, he even offered to help move as much as he could to make our move much easier. What would've taken us hours took what seemed like 30min with his help. Because of his overall genuine personality, positive attitude and white glove service, I wouldn't consider any other company or tasker or whoever other than Royal Moving. My mom had to move, so she hired Jake and his team at Royal Moving. The three men showed up on time, ready to work. They were extremely polite, professional, and extra-helpful. They were also efficient. My mom wanted to get moved out ASAP, and these guys had the truck loaded in less than 90 minutes. Then at storage, they not only packed all of her belongings into storage like experts, but they offered to safely place all of the fragile items from the car into the unit, as well. I HIGHLY recommend these guys to help you move. Moving sucks and it's stressful, but Jake and his team will make it enjoyable and easy. I've hired other movers in my life (at least 5 moving companies), and this company, BY FAR, is the best. read more

These guys are great. Very responsive via phone or text. They had 3 guys and a truck and moved things quickly and respectfully. They are big strong guys, but we're also sweet in how they spoke with my children. They also packed my personal vehicles to maximize how much stuff to move in one trip. We had a lot of stuff, so they made 2 trips. We like them enough to refer relatives to them on an upcoming move. read more

Couldn't be BETTER! I had another group come earlier in the day and make a mess and I sent them away. I went onto Craigslist and Jake and Dan (brothers) were here in an hour and got it done in an HOUR. They take direction wonderfully, are super nice and pleasant, efficient and just a pleasure to work with. I will use them again whenever I need moving help! They have a staff and a box truck. I sure wish I could give these guys 5 stars however, they overcharged my elderly parents by a massive amount. Granted, they gave a quote over the phone, but I was not aware of the fee until today and apparently it went up after I left them to load up a truck. $540 for 2 hours of loading a truck is VERY unreasonable as they had to do 0 packing, only loading what was packed up. And they didn't even bring their own moving truck or equipment. This means these guys are getting paid $200 an hour, and I didn't include the $40 because I know that's how much in fuel it costs to come out to Port Orchard or take a ferry there and back. Which is reasonable -- but at $200 an hour, doctors and lawyers should quit their jobs to become movers! Hell we should ALL quit our jobs at that rate. I have a business cleaning, organizing, moving & decluttering hoarders and I have never witnessed anyone charge this outrageous fee for 2 hours of work. The uhaul was already 1/4 of the way loaded by me. If I could do it all over again, I would have called UHAUL to come out and help them. These guys come out and get the job done, but be prepared to be seriously overcharged. I feel these guys took advantage of an elderly couple in their time of need. This should not have been $540 for 2 hours of work simply loading a truck. AND they were tipped $80. So they walked away with $600 for 2 hours of work. Shameful. Not to mention the broken bed frame -- instead of trying to figure out the screw, they ripped the entire frame apart and didn't even bother to take the cost of that out of their outrageous fee. Come on, guys. I was really hoping to come here and give 5 stars but sometimes we need to feel the heat when our business practices are far less than fair. Maybe if they came out and helped unload the uhaul as well, I'd give 4 stars, minus 1 for the 5 due to breaking the bed and never trying to remedy that cost out of the quote. But I already called another mover who unloaded the truck into a storage and only charged $250, so it's a little too late to rectify this. I really wanted to like Royal Moving. I love supporting small business. I reached out to the owner Jake about a month prior requesting that he help the company I work for move 4 apartment homes to 4 separate apartment homes across the city. He agreed to the job and we discussed a price of $700 per move which equals $2800 total. The move ended up costing us about $3400 which STILL isn't horrible but not what we had previously discussed. Let's get down to the attitude of the owner. WOW!!! Jake gets mad at the drop of a hat. One minute he's talking calmly the next he's flying off the rails threatening to dump your items out and refusing to move you if he doesn't receive payment right then in the middle of the ACTUAL move. He got upset at any slight thing he perceived to be an issue. For instance, he was upset that our mattress didn't have a cover. My ignorance led me to believe that movers provide their own covers for items like that. Nevertheless I offered to buy some for the move but he declined and I'm guessing he charged me extra as the reason for the higher amount mentioned earlier. He also showed up 2 hours late the first day of moving, which put a strain on an already planned schedule. He also didn't have a big enough truck to do the requested 2 apartment move. I sent him a G-Sheet almost 3 weeks prior to the move with the addresses, size of apartment, loading dock and elevator info, and times to meet. He was VERY aggressive and unprofessional. Like I said I had planned on giving this guy lots of moves which meant money, and steady business but the way he acted with my team and myself. I'll pass. I wish him luck though. UPDATE: I was just informed that my colleague claims that Jake used some very inappropriate language regarding my colleagues sexual orientation as well as inappropriate comments regarding myself and others on my staff. Jake was an incredible guy who helped me move my elderly aunt's belongings from her mobile home park into an assisted living facility nearby. Jake and I communicated from a distance initially because I was in another state. Jake was very flexible with me as even when I arrived in the SEATAC area, I still did not know for sure when my aunt would be discharged from the Rehabilitation facility she was in. Once the day arrived, Jake and his assistant arrived a few minutes earlier than anticipated and both handled my aunt's belongings and furniture like they were precious cargo with absolutely no damage to anything. The day before I texted him photos of the larger items so he would be know size of truck to bring. Jake and his co-worker were very professional and respectful to me and my family. In fact we liked him so much that we called him again two weeks later to move all of my aunts items back to her mobile home after she unfortunately passed away. Once again Jake worked us back into his schedule and got it done so we did not have to pay another month's rent at the facility. We own a small staging company, the movers cancelled on us with less than 24 hours notice. Desperate at 10PM, I turned to YELP and none of the movers were available. 11PM was approaching and I realized I had not tried Craigslist. I found Jake and messaged him via craigslist and he immediately responded. He was very responsive and even told me he may be running a little late. Anyways, he assured me we would get everything done before the 3PM deadline and he did! I am so grateful to have Jake & his brother Dan help us. I hired the guys to do a small office move. They claimed to be well equipped and very fit...so on an so forth. The showed up with one cheap dolly and a small hand cart and NO moving blankets. They immediately begged off on one of the pieces of furniture as too heavy. OK, better than breaking it. They were very clear on a 4 hour minimum. When my assistant asked them to move something (to a better place) the older brother immediately became resistant claiming "we move things only once." My assistant reminded them it was a 4 hour commitment, and the older one got downright belligerent....temper, temper. They worked for 3 hours and then claimed the 4 hours included their trip from home. They also charged a $20 fuel charge (BS). For the last two hours of the job, they repeatedly reminded me they had two other moves they needed to get to. They broke an antique drawer (carrying more than one at a time). They scratched the floor and the brothers quarreled as bonus. Don't bother unless you don't care about quality. read more
