The 3 guys who showed up to move our furniture from the upstairs to the downstairs were personable, but in the end damaged our kitchen table to the tune of $950 + tax. Unknown: when you sign your bill, there's a damages waiver clause that releases Affordable Movers from all liability. I thought I was signing a receipt for services rendered! It feels like fraud to me. I was not informed that by signing the receipt on a tablet that was partially obscured that I was signing a loss/damage waiver. I'm out $1K as a result. We all need to move at one time or another right? I have moved in Snohomish county quite a few times over last 30 years. I was driving into work and passed an Affordable Movers truck headed out towards my area. I was in need of movers for my last really big awkward hutch, two heavy book shelves, head board and foot board and gave them a call for bid. Process was smoother than the two other big movers I had called the previous month. Price was very reasonable. I was moving out of a storage unit- not an option so I chose the studio apt option. They met me at my storage unit, I was loading up rest of my items in my cargo trailer and they were taking the big heavy items I cannot lift. I needed muscle to move them since I had stairs to get them in my home. They were very professional. They asked about the studio apt and told them the storage unit wasn't an option. They saw I was moving out rest of my items and asked "all this going to same place ?" "Yes" " ok let's take some in truck as well". Reduced moving stress immediately!!! I had a coffee table I had forgot was there and gorilla racks as well as some heavy boxes of books and my grandmothers china. All in all we had everything pack up in 30 minutes!!! Headed to my home and moving in was another thing since I had 5 stairs into house. The guys were so good working together safely moving the heavy items and took great care moving them. I have hired other movers and moved myself with help of friends quite few times and this was the BEST experience . Items were wrapped and moved with care. Guys were friendly and very professional. The guys at Affordable Movers are awesome! TUAN quickly gave me a quote within mins of my request and it sure is affordable. I checked with a few other moving companies and some quoted me over $1,000 bucks for moving a 2 bedroom apartment, double of what Affordable Movers charged! Sure they charge for travel time but most companies do. On the moving date, I was kinda worried because Tuan did not reply to my message in the morning about my afternoon move. I bet they are on the job and were being very focused and professional that they did not have a chance to get back to me. Couple of hours later, Tuan got a hold of me and quickly apologized for the delay and promised their crew will contact me as soon as their morning job is done. Sure enough, Cory called me within the hour to update with an ETA. Cory arrived right on time and gave me an estimate/ overview of the move. There's only 2 of them but oh man the job they have done! I came across them via FB was wanting to move a vending machine first guy quoted me 240 which I personally felt it was a bit much so I was going to keep looking around he then asked what was I willing / wanting to pay we agreed with 180 then 20 for tip I didn't know how much machine weighed so I sent over a video and explain to him that it had to be transported up right at all time and it is heavy everything seemed fine was very friendly at first spoke to a lady today she was basically asking me the same questions that I spoke to the guy about via FB so I asked her did she not see the video because she asked me how much it weighed I didn't know and I didn't want to not give them the right information so that's why I went ahead and sent a video long story short she sent me this message saying how I gave them false information and that it was going to be 650 to move which is fine but it's just the way that it was went about that I didn't like if I was quoted 650 from the beginning I would've simply said thank you have a good day but then be accused of giving false information about weight was totally mind blowing considering I sent a video and said it was heavy the wife was friendly at first but then got very disrespectful and unprofessional via text so I called which didn't solve anything after we hung up she then text again being rude I did ask to speak to a manager which is her husband totally totally rude and disrespectful he then ended the conversation with if he have to make time to meet me he would basically threatening to put hands on me. Just be careful with these people they seem very friendly at first but is very rude and disrespectful. Once they told me the new pricing I wasn't trying to give them a hard time just was trying to show them its the principle of it when I have proof of what was said just because it's a family owned business does not mean you treat people the way that I was treated and I'm pretty sure his response to this is going be very snotty and rude and that just goes to show that everything is accurate I'm not the first person to say. read more

I am so appreciative because Tuan squeezed in my move last minute. It was a scheduling error on my part and he really saved me and my move! Kayden and Tristan did an excellent job and I can't believe how fast they worked plus they were very friendly and personable. When I booked the move I did not scheduled an extra stop to go to my storage unit to drop off and pick up some furniture but I asked Kayden if they had time and he said it wouldn't be a problem which they were in and out of the storage unit in no time. Through referral, I contacted Affordable Movers several months ago. Our move needed extra trips (= loading/driving/unloading) than I thought, but nonetheless they made sure all were done smoothly by working diligently. I strongly suggested them to use Yelp and start having reputation stacked up. They finally did, and I'm glad they contacted me as I had asked. FYI: Before contacting these guys, I had contacted another mover here in Yelp (with 4+ stars). I won't name that mover, but I had talked to the owner on the phone - we checked and agreed location, rate, date, and time. On the day of moving, no one showed up. I called him back and his explanation was 'yes, we all agreed... but I never confirmed it.' Make it sure especially for in-town move. I strongly suspect the other owner took another offer where they could spend more time 'driving' than loading and unloading. Ours was 1.5 mile. read more

Arrived on time, wore masks the whole time and were careful about distancing. We asked for three movers as we had a couple of bulky heavy items and it was worth the added expense, probably saved money in the long run. They really hustled, didn't waste a minute but we're careful and asked when needed clarification. They were patient with us, we're in our 80's, and were very personable and polite. Affordable Movers loaded up my large one bedroom apartment (with stairs!) with care on July 3, 2019. They were quick and friendly. Total time for the whole move was about three hours. During the initial loading I got out of their way and made a coffee run for the guys for which they were appreciative. They moved me into my condo I had just purchased so although I won't be needing their services again any time soon I will be recommending them every chance I get. I actually recommended them right after my move to a friend for her mother's move and I hear they were just as satisfied as I was! This is a dependable company at a very good price.
