On Sunday 11/30/25 I purchased $85 in gas and $27.00 worth of food. The 3 piece chicken meal chicken was old and rubbery and had been sitting way too long. The phone # on the gas receipt listed as 610-497-2131 is disconnected. I looked up store # on Google and it just goes to voicemail even though the store only had 1 customer in it and at least 3 people I saw working. No one answered the phone in 3 calls. I left a voicemail saying the chicken was bad and then called back a few times to let a manger know not to sell that stuff to anyone else. No answer. Hope this helps another hungry traveler out before they hop on the road hoping for a quick bite that was indelible and a waste of $10.00.. Open chicken dipping sauces in breezeway, trash outside the door, and crushed energy drinks cans in the sink in bathroom. The Chicken was good but Ice Cold. Selling a piece of chicken for $2.50 each would be fine if it was hot. The chicken was still edible but I would avoid going here after 09:00 in the morning because the chicken tasted like it was sitting there a while. read more

Royal Farms in Aston, PA on Market Street, is well stocked, delicious food, large snack size chip varieties and for coffee lovers a large selection of coffee machines which grind coffee fresh. There is ample seating inside and outside to eat, a gas station and car wash. This is a good size deli and doubles as a small restaurant. Their chicken is tender also for breakfast. Recently, we took advice from Philly.com for two places to eat... yes, eat, and this was one of them. First, the food-at-a-gas-station thing is not so crazy to us, after eating at Three Crazy Ladies, who run a lunch counter out of the Sunoco in Malvern. The article talked about this place that sells gas and fried chicken. Maybe not crazy, but still weird. We looked up more local news, and reviews said the chicken was actually pretty good. This is a MD-based chain. MD is below the Mason Dixon line, so they probably do a better fried chicken than we do, right? We tried them waaaaay late night over the weekend. 2:30am and they were hoppin'. Cars coming from all directions. The chicken was greasy, but tasted pretty good. There are no trans-fats in their chicken. We don't expect much with fried chicken, so this was a nice surprise. I can't compare to KFC because it has been at least 15 years since I had anything there, but it was definitely a nice crunchy coating on it, that tasted addictive. They offer 8 pieces of dark meat for $7, or 2-2-2 dark/white for $14. We took the cheaper deal. It was tender, fully cooked, surprisingly fresh (especially for 2:30am), and definitely a good value. We got gas too, to complete the experience. The facility is all new construction, which always makes it a nicer encounter, especially when it's a gas station. According to the articles we read, this is their first site in the area, but they plan to open other locations in Ridley Park, and Concord Twp, in the future. Watch out, Wawa! ...and KFC! read more

I tried to but gas here the other day but the pump wouldn't take two of my credit cards so I stopped trying and just left to gas up elsewhere. Considering how busy this part of Route 452, is I was happy to see that at the east end, you can easily exit at a traffic light. read more

Don't get me wrong, - I love Wawa, but maybe it's time for a little friendly competition. Wawa will still be our usual stop for coffee, milk, smokes, etc., but if it's food I'm after, I am ready to see what Royal Farms has to offer because I really find Wawa food just so-so. So far I've only tried their fried chicken (and their fries at other locations), but I've heard their chicken sandwiches are really good, so we'll be giving them a try soon. The fried chicken is really good, but definitely a good bit more expensive than other chicken places so that's a drawback. I liked the layout of the store - it was nice to have one line with several cash registers to go to. I think Royal Farms is a nice addition to the area and I think it will do well. read more

Would give 0 stars if possible. I stopped here to get gas on my way in to work. The gas pump locked my card in, i waited for a minute trying to get the card out. When I went in to bring it to someone's attention, they told me they needed to get the manager to handle this issue. It took them 15 minutes to find the manager, who happened to be outside chatting with customers in the car. None of the staff knew that, how does a manager just disappear during a shift without informing the staff? BUT it gets better, after finding the manager, she walks in with an attitude as if I was bothering her. I'm not one to post a yelp review but this occurrence was extremely frustrating and caused me to be late to work. Seriously, do better. read more

I was abandoned by my boyfriend here the other night with no wallet or phone and I had been sitting there almost all day and nobody really checked up on me until one employee came out after it had gotten dark and asked me if I was okay I told her I was just waiting for a ride even though I wasn't after awhile she came out again and asked me if I was okay again and I told her what happened, she offered to buy me a meal she helped me feel safe and make sure I was okay and I'm the morning she bought me breakfast and let me use her phone, her name was brittany and she was my angel that night. The chicken is either greasy as ever or is burnt to a crisp, and it's not necessarily the best bargain in town.

The jerks at the Downingtown Royal Farms won't let us substitute thighs for drumsticks. Want us to pay $2.39 extra for each one. Every other Royal Farms I have ever gone to will allow this. They were rude. I won't go back there, even for gas. read more

Went in to get three pieces of chicken and some mashed potatoes a 9 pm. I was told that they were out of mashed potatoes for the night but I saw mashed potatoes in the tray. The three pieces of chicken were old and dried up. Inedible. They gave me my money back but I have had their chicken before and it is generally very good. Now I am not sure if I will go back because who knows the quality you will get. I heard that Royal Farms Fried Chicken was the best ever. I had Royal Farms chicken for the 1st time 2 weeks ago. I was so disappointed in the taste and I don't know what kind of grease they use to fry the chicken but when It hit my lower intestine I could feel the discomfort. Lower intestine was sizzling I could actually feel it and burned on the way out. Be careful of Royal Farms Fried Chicken even though the taste isn't bad. I'd much prefer Acme Fried Chicken because it never gave me any inner problems. I'm still not same and caused a Doctor's appointment. BE CAREFUL! So, if you are looking for something other than Wawa in the area, I suggest Royal Farms. Sadly, even with it being new, a lot of stuff is breaking down and it takes a long time for them to prep food. The food is good, and different than Wawa so you get a bit of variety from what you are used to, but a lot of things in the place are already breaking down. (The soda machine in the line doesn't shut all the way, so it doesn't keep everything cool, some coffee machines, some of the order screens are glitchy, ect ect) Now, I'm giving it 3 stars for the normal person, but the biggest thing I dislike are lines. The reason I really like going here, and it will be a personal 4 star for me, is that there are no lines like other places. I really dislike crowded areas and right now while it is new and people are 'loyal' to Wawa, I get to go in and do my thing without bumping elbows with other people. We were coming back from Delaware and took an exit to get off 95N. We noticed Royal Farms and decided to stop to try out the chicken. We were very disappointed in the chicken. Way to salty for my taste. The Mac and cheese was not the great. I give it a 2 star for the cleanness and employees were very accommodating. I come in here all the time and the employees are amazing but the way they are treated by management is absolutely disgusting. They're are constantly overworked overwhelmed and under staffed yet these employees still do their best to stay upbeat and provide great customer service and do their job to the best of their abilities.Corporate needs to seriously look into how management is running this store.As someone who has worked in the fast food industry I understand how hard it can be to do your job when management preaches team work but leaves all the heavy lifting to the employees while they fulfill their "duties". read more

Starting to slip. Sandwich choices dont quite hit the mark, wouldnt eat most of them in the car as the ingredients kinda sliiiip on out. Chixn is VERY greasy also hard to eat on the road, but is southern-fried style comfort food and is tasty. Today was just as slow as molasses coming in after lunch hour, no one in the place and waited over 15 minutes for two pieces and a chixn salad sand which as I watch it made took two minutes exactly.
