The market is in a small post war strip mall of stores surrounded by homes, so if you are thinking there's not a store up the road because clearly this is a neighborhood, you are mistaken. Stay with us. Parking was pretty easy. Entering I'm greeted with the wonderful smells of a deli. Hard to describe, it's a mixture of meat and spices and ...lemon. Sort of. First are grab and go meals (smart!) right by the door, then back to the deli where you can order a sandwich - hot or cold - and other items. Then...the PICKLE BARREL. OMG. I haven't seen one of these in SO long, and I was so excited I took a picture and sent it to all my old skool friends. They were equally excited. As kids, these were all over the place, and we loved stirring all the pickles in the brine, choosing one with the big metal tongs, slipping it in the wax paper bag so you could enjoy your treasure later. They also have actual groceries, small quantities but good variety so if you're in need of a bit of peanut butter for lunch sandwiches or a small pack of TP, you can get it there. You can also get lottery tickets and Bernie's Pretzels (yay!). The food was great, I got an italian hoagie that was delish, and some macaroni salad YUM.
