I've been eating here for years, their food is always fresh! My favorites are the fried shrimp baskets & tuna fish sandwiches.

I recently had a couple of great lunches here. I found parking along Wolf Street with no problem…read more The inside was clean and the staff was friendly. They serve you fresh waster (Drinks to order include Hanks, Boylan's, Harney and Sons, Teas etc.) and will serve you at the table or you can walk up and order at the counter. Their menu has a great mix of deli, steak, "chicken" steak, meatball, sausage and cutlet sandwiches with interesting flavor combos. You can also get breakfast (till 11AM) or a salad. They also have sides that include - tots, fried pickle chips, onion rings, fries, fried mozzarella and Zayda's pickle spears, chips and cherry pepper shooters. They have a couple of vegan options and GF rolls for extra $$. The staff was more than happy to give recommendations and their favs. My first lunch was The Eye - $15 Ribeye steak, Cooper Sharp American, fried onions came on a seeded Liscio's roll. If you enjoy the somewhat newer Cooper sharp style that's out there you'll like theirs. The Cooper sharp was gooey, mixed in well with the meat and on the heavier side. The ribeye was thin cut, delicious and the portion was pretty hefty. Second visit I went with - The Nad - $15 Chicken cutlet, fresh mozzarella, prosciutto, arugula, Mike's Hot Honey that came on an unseeded Liscio's roll. The portion size was good, chicken was fresh with good breading, the hot honey was a tad on the heavy side, but the flavors all came together pretty good on this one. Sweet, salty, light bitterness from the arugula and some heat from the hot honey. I added Thin Cut Idaho fries to make it a combo for $3 extra and I have to say they were delicious. They smelled like McD's and tasted similar. They are cash only, but have an ATM on site. You can use a card if you order online. The one bathroom they have was pretty clean and organized. I will certainly stop back for a visit if I'm in the area to try out more of their menu. Thanks guys!

I recently stopped in to pickup lunch sandwiches and entered in what we wanted on their ordering kiosk. The process was easy and then you have the great staff take care of you the rest of the way. Lots of classic sandwiches to choose from, but I love me a chicken cutlet inferno. Long hots, hot pepper cheese, fresh chicken cutlets on a seeded roll = Yum. My co-workers ordered a roast beef sandwich and a veggie hoagie - grilled and marinated eggplant, broccoli rabe, roasted peppers & aged sharp provolone. The roast beef was messy, but everyone was happy. While you wait, make sure you check out all the classic Italian specialty items they sell. The people working there are friendly and helpful. I always felt like Pastificio was similar to Primo hoagies, but slightly better because they didn't go big and stayed true to what makes them best. Service and quality. A solid area mainstay. Nothing that'll blow you away, but good, consistent above average sandwiches. Thanks guys!

And I'm not talking about one great sandwich or a lucky visit. I'm talking about consistency over a long period of time. I've eaten at least 100 cheesesteaks and another 100 pizzas from Angelo's, and I genuinely cannot remember ever getting a poorly made item. That kind of consistency is rare, especially in a city where everyone has an opinion about who makes the best cheesesteak. The bread is phenomenal, the meat is incredibly flavorful, and the whole sandwich comes together exactly how you want it: juicy, delicious, and worth every bite. It doesn't matter if you're picking it up fresh on Ninth Street or ordering delivery through one of the apps. The quality holds up, and that's what separates a great restaurant from a great restaurant on its best day. And the pizza? Some of the best in the city. Period. Philadelphia has no shortage of places making good cheesesteaks and pizza, and I'm always happy to try somewhere new. But when I want the absolute best, Angelo's is my gold standard. Over and over and over again, they deliver. That's why, in my opinion, when it comes to a Philadelphia cheesesteak, there's Angelo's and everybody else.

House made, superior lightly truffles cheese sauce is what whiz wishes it was. Very rich. You may want to share. Fries are $7 but large portion -- also share. Live that they have great quality beverages to match great sandwiches. That is, Maine Root sodas (LOVE the Sasparilla) or Joe's iced tea. (I like black, unsweetened to balance the richness of the sandwich.) Cozy but comfy seating with raw real wood banquets and tables. Even when crowded, a table will come available by the time your order is ready. Good turn over. Pleasant, helpful staff. There's not a whole lot of space, and you probably won't be able to bring a large party in here more 4-6 people. But if you're dining in in a smaller group, you should have a good time. They keep things relatively clean. I personally lean on the cheesesteak purist side of the scale, and so although this cheesesteak tastes pretty darn good, I am of the opinion that most things that you slap truffle on will instantly be above average good, just because it tastes like truffle. Otherwise, the cheesesteak here is pretty close to slightly above average-- and personally I'd spend my money elsewhere if it weren't for the novelty. Otherwise, the roast pork here is underrated and overshadowed by its truffle cousin. Grab that if you get overpowered by truffle flavor easily. To-go orders have been consistently on time and ready once I arrived. Would gladly order here again, but would definitely prefer something pure, ex. without truffle.

There is a private lot off to the side of the building that the store is located. There is also street parking located within a reasonable walking distance. The staff there was friendly enough, even though my interaction with them was limited. The store has all that you would want in a convenience store including scratch offs, beer, soda, juice, chips, and candy. It appeared very cluttered and dirty. There were boxes all over the floor. You will find a couple of booth tables in the store's small dining area. The booths were in bad shape and I had to weave between some boxes to get to them. It was nice to have the dine in option though because I had caught a bus to get her from my hotel. This place serves burgers, sandwiches, wings, fish, fries hoagies and steak and cheeses. I ordered the Jerk chicken cheesesteak sandwich, with a side of fries. It took about 12 minutes for me to get my food. It was fresh and and delicious. It was packed with flavor and there was a ton of food. While I was there, they were receiving a a shipment of drinks, which caused them to leave the front door open. On a normal day this would not have been an issue, but it was a very cold day and I was freezing while I ate in the dining. area. I finished my food quickly to get out of there. This place has some very good food, but the location and cleanliness and order of the place is purely wretched. I was willing to accept that, but some people may not and so this review is just to make you aware.
