Man, this address sure knows how to make some killer sandwiches! Back in the day, this used to be Chickie's, and I had a hoagie here maybe 12 years ago which may have the single best sandwich I have ever had in my life. Fast forward 12 years, and now its Antonio's Deli...let me tell you something......still AMAZING! My Brother and I came here for a breakfast hoagie. We got an Olde Italian to split since we were going to Reading Terminal Market right after. How was the hoagie? Delicious! The Olde Italian comes on the best bread in the land IMO (Sarcones...seeded roll...you just cant beat it!). So crusty and great texture. This sandwich had all the goodies on it including proscuitto, capicola and sopressata. They use a crumbled sharp provolone cheese here (think blue cheese crumbles, but sharp provolone!) that is so freaking good! The veggies include roasted red peppers, lettuce tomato and onion. They top it with some olive oil and seasonings. Hoagie perfection! This was my favorite sandwich that I ate in Philadelphia and my favorite sandwich on my 1 week trip back East! I LOVED IT. If you are in Philadelphia and want the best hoagie around, come here! I can't wait to go back to Philadelphia one of these years and try out some more of their sandwiches. Just perfect! Hoagie menu looks phenomenal and they cut/prepare everything fresh. Imported Italian items on shelves as well. This place has a very homey, vibe to it and I think the food is great as well. The salad was very big and their cutlets are very tasty. I'd try this spot again 100%, and think I should try the hoagie or meatballs next! Had a great experience at Antonio's recently on a quick visit to Philly. We met the man himself and he was so kind making conversation with us as he crafted our sandwiches. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The deli had tons of options for both meat eaters and vegetarians, and lots of chips and side options as well. Classic deli vibes! I had the famous Eggplant sub which was very good if you enjoy broccolini and tomato! My boyfriend had the chicken pesto sub which he said was wonderful. Their buffalo chicken cutlet has gone down hill very fast. You expect there to be at least a drop of buffalo sauce on it but each time I order it comes with less and less sauce. Dry ass sandwich that I do not recommend ordering, unless they can locate the buffalo sauce in their store and start using it. A shame how terrible it got. read more

Great fresh food. The service was quick and on time. Small place just grab and go. Online ordering was easy. Just remember to 'cut in half' as an option. The bread is made in store and delicious. I like bread but truly couldn't get the hoagie in my mouth for a bite! Next time, I would ask for them to scoop/gut the roll. Everyone enjoyed their sandwich, great stop before the game. read more

We order from Antonio's at least once a month (okay maybe twice a month), and we have utilized them for catering as well. Our orders are never wrong and are always done when promised. They don't force you to leave a tip on their iPad, which I think is annoying at most places, but if they did do that here, I would certainly oblige. The old Italian is a favorite, along with the crispy tomato, but don't sleep on their veggie hoagie, which is by far the best veggie one I've ever had. They're all FAT sandwiches and totally worth the $~14, especially because you can save half for lunch the next day. When ordering catering via email, I requested a later drop off than usual, but the accommodated us very graciously. I was able to customize our hoagie tray (adding more turkey than ham), and it was very affordable compared to other options we considered. I got a phone call to follow up on specifics and take credit card info. Everyone was raving about the hoagies, and it didn't hurt that we had leftovers for a few days! read more

Probably the best hoagie I had in Philadelphia. I've had a few local spots, but after struggling in the Italian market on Thanksgiving Eve, Antonio's was salvation. Went for the old Italian with mayo added, and it was excellent. My biggest hidden gem reccomendation is the potato salad, which was divine. Will be back again soon for the chicken cutlet. I was looking to order a hoagie from a place I had never tried before and ended up ordering an Italian hoagie from Antonio's. It was a delicious hoagie, made up of fresh meats on a fresh Sarcone's roll. The roll was a bit thick, which threw off the meat to bread ratio. I also added some potato salad to the order, and it was just basic potato salad, lacking flavor. If you order a hoagie from Antonio's you can ask them to gut the roll, which is probably the better choice. And skip the potato salad. read more

I did get back to Philly in May for my 70th class reunion . Picked up my rental at the airport and headed to Antonio's for the best Italian Hogie. Yo best ever. I don't know we're all the rain came from that day but I sat in my car and devoured the entire hoagie. Believe me it was worth the trip. Looking forward to my next trip.. I recommend going with the fried tomato sandwich. It really makes such a great difference to have a cold sandwich with that crispy fried tomato in it. The service is great too. They all friendly and quick. They make the sandwiches right in front of you. They also are accommodating, so for instance, if you want a turkey instead of prosciutto, or vice versa, they're willing to accommodate with no attitude. we really enjoyed coming here and will be back when we're in the area. read more

Unreal. . . Unreal. I went in and got the Old Italian. So many flavors going on, but a ton of prosciutto is the base, so good! Bay Cities in Santa Monica is my bar for top of the line sandwiches, and this is truly better. The bread is from Sarcone's Bakery in the Italian village, very fresh and the meats and the lettuce the oil and the veggies, everything complements each other perfectly. There is a reason Antonio's Deli has 5 stars .... my sandwich was AMAZING. I will be the first to admit no one has ever heard me say "Oh my I have a hankering for a hoagie (lol ... does anyone ever say that) and you probably won't hear me utter that phrase again but the crispy tomato hoagie has me speaking jibberish. The recipe has to be from a higher power. There is no way a mere human put this together, it is impossible. It's a hoagie on a hard seeded roll filled with FRIED TOMATOES (yes you read that right) lettuce , turkey, bacon , peppers , mayo and we opted for the sharp provolone . It a deliciously messy sandwich I totally regret offering to share with my colleague. read more

This is the best corner deli in the city. It is so clean and the food is unbelievable. Their meatballs, oyster po boy, fried tomato hoagie, chicken cutlets, just to name a few. The Olde Italian is a go-to, the fried tomato is a must try and don't sleep on their buffalo cutlet - whatever they are doing with that housemade buffalo sauce is damn wizardry. It's SO good. Every now and then I shoot over to souphilly for a hoagie. Antonio's is one of the big names and I think they do a nice job. The italian hoagie is very good. It has great bread , solid meats , and the right amount of oil. I like more lettuce and tomato but still very good . Worth the trip and the cutlet sandwhiches are also great read more

3 Times I've used Antonio's due to being recommended and 3x I forgot to take pics! Sorry Folks. But trust me they are reasonable and great. We've used them for 2 birthday parties and just this week for Penn graduation. We were not oing to trust these important occasions to anything other than the best and we've been happy every time. From menu to mouth, I was not disappointed, tried the Crispy Tomato and all the flavors just bounced around the palate. I definitely will be ordering this again. I also had the Caprese but added chicken cutlet, well worth it too, probably trying prosciutto next time. This was an interesting find using Yelp... Really good hoagies and customer service. I have tried the hoagie from Cosmi's which are good, but the ones from Antonio's Deli are my favorite. Good bread with a good crust, plenty of fillings inside without ending up being wet messes. Really tasty. read more

Oh wow. What an absolutely perfect Italian hoagie. Crispy Sarcone's roll too? Man, I'm spoiled now: every other roll is gonna taste like yoga mat in comparison. I just finished my hoagie five minutes before writing this and am seriously considering getting another sandwich already. I'm seeing talk of a fried green tomato sandwich? Ummm, yes. I went w one of their signature sandwiches and it far exceeded expectations. They make all orders while you wait so you know it's fresh. They were so nice and honestly I was in and out of there. You get a massive amount of food for the price. I ordered a small and it was fantastic and a great value.

One sub was missing cheese and three were missing marinara. Taste wise I would say they're cheesesteak is solid, but could use some sort of seasoning. I highly recommend getting the seeded roll. Their roasted pork was good as well. I can't say either were the best I've ever had, but definitely above average. Overall, I would say give this place a shot, I would come here again, but would definitely double check my to go order before leaving.

The owners/staff are sweet and remember not just my order, but my roommate's, their partners, and our neighbors. The shop is humble and welcoming inside. I've run inside in my sweatpants and also in my business attire but never felt out of place with the breakfast-seeking, sleepy eyed patrons that fill the small dining area and register's line. Little shops like Christie's Deli deserve all the love. They're a great part of the neighborhood and strengthens our sense of community. Try the Christie's breakfast sandwich! It's my favorite!
