It was fairly busy when I popped in to grab some pizza slices. Most people were there to pick up their pizzas. The selection of pizza slices was quite limited. I ordered 2 slices with a drink combo which came to $5, very similar to other pizza joints in the area. Maybe it was because they did not warm up my pizza slices, but I did not think it was spectacular as that delicious as reviewed by other Yelpers. I agree it was not oily which was nice. Otherwise, the slices I had was quite average. It was not the thin crust type, and it was not very saucy or cheesy. As this is near my area, I may pop by again in future if I need food immediately and do not want to cook or wait for other take out options. read more

Barely any toppings, awful crust..not even enough pizza sauce! The casher young lady was so arrogant and condescending towards people she doesn't like. She is always cranky doesn't seem to capable of talk to people in English. And most importantly, there was a bug on the pizza. Poor hygiene management and customer service. read more

Only pizza we've ordered in New West for years. It's delish, hot on delivery and great price. Last night we had Hawaiian with sides of chicken wings -- tender crisp and Caesar salad that was crisp, lots of croutons & parm, enough garlic and not too much dressing so it's still crisp (not soggy) today. We tried the lasagna once, but the pizza is better. Staff are sweet and delivery is prompt. A gem of a New West small biz. Highly recommended for nights in. read more

Was looking for a pizza place as we just moved to the area. This one had good reviews so tried it. Got two "specialty pizzas" and wings. Was 45 bucks and the better of the two pizzas tastes like it was frozen box pizza with some fresh ingredients the other pizza was not to my taste at all and the wings tasted like they were boiled and were dry with no actual taste. Most pizza places that offer gluten-free crust make terrible, terrible-tasting crusts, which is unfortunate, since there are sooo many good gluten-free products now. Not only is this one of the good ones, but this has to be the best-tasting gluten-free pizza crust I've ever had. Perfect amount of crunch-to-chewiness ratio too. I mean, it's just GOOD CRUST. And finally, someone in GVRD makes good pizza sauce and the appropriate amount of cheese! So cheesy, so good, this pizza was amazingly, surprisingly good. Going down 8th you might have noticed this very small pizza place on the corner of the side strip mall. When you look inside, it almost always has people inside and for good reason. For one simple really it is tasty and cheap. If you are looking for that, "I'm too lazy to cook or get groceries" mood this is the place to turn to! The pizza is good compared to most cheap pizza places, the guys that own the place are so nice and they made the pizza so fast. One of the better grab and go pizzas in the hood. I have ordered a few times from here for movie night with a few friends in the hood. Super friendly people and the specials are recommended. We normally get a veggie and one meat lovers. The timing has always been acceptable with the understanding of rush hour, dinner time and special occasions but most of the time we have never had a problem with the delivery. Prices are respectable as well. The crust is really good, however, as one person already mentioned their gluten free crust needs some improvements. All hail Royal Crown! I grew up on chain pizza and was just kind of used to accepting that delivery pizza is kind of meh and overpriced and makes you feel sick and that's just how it is. But this isn't true, and Royal Crown is proof! Their pizza is awesome with just the right amount of sauce and cheese so it's not a greasy soggy mess by the time it gets to you. Toppings are generous and fresh and prices are fantastic. The guys are super nice too, and their hours are ample. I feel bad for the poor person below that's condemned themselves to Papa John's, especially when the best pizza in town (and all the surrounding towns) is so close to home... What a shame! I was pleasantly surprised to see that Royal Crown Pizza in New Westminster is now under new ownership. This family owned business has a wide array of pizza choices from the standard Super Hawaiian to exclusive pizzas like Butter Chicken Pizza, Tandoori Chicken Pizza, and even BBQ Chicken Pizza (those were the 4 that I picked up last night for my get-together). The toppings were plentiful and the pizzas were a big hit with my friends so I thought I should write a review here indicating that. We've had pizzas at many other places but they didn't compare to Royal Crown. This will be our new regular pizza place! On the 4 times that I have been to this location since the new owners have taken over, I found the staff there to be extremely courteous, helpful and patient (I had forgotten my wallet at home once and he processed the order even before payment was received). Although there is limited seating if you want to eat in, the window seat is nice however I prefer to take the pizza home and enjoy it with a good movie or when having friends over. read more

I used to order from here alot in the past. Then came new owners and names up in the air and I was not sure what was going on so I stopped. I grabbed 2 medium Hawaiian Supreme. Cost was $24.99 for pick up and came with free 2L pop. I ordered in shop and waited.. Took 15 mins and person working was friendly. Tasting was on the greasy side but very good. Crust could use with a bit more seasoning for my taste. But overall I enjoy my meal. They also have limited per slice buying. read more

Royal crown, is in my opinion, the best pizza to be found in new westminster. We've tried them all too! They are incredibly consistent, having only received a less-than perfect pizza once in the many times we've ordered. They use loads of fresh, quality ingredients and both the crust and sauce are excellent and unique and really are the cornerstone to their superb pies. The specialty pizzas are really tasty, with our favourites being the spinach special and super Hawaiian. Another excellent small business that should be supported and cherished in our community. I had the BBQ chicken pizza (delivered) and it was delicious: the toppings created a great flavour of smokey-sweet BBQ sauce and fresh veg, the crust was a lovely medium thickness and just a little cripsy, and it was not overloaded with cheese but still had plenty for this cheese lover. The only reason not to give 5 stars is that delivery took almost 45 minutes (even though it was late and I was nearby) and the front of the pizza got a little floppy/soggy.
