It's not only well decorated but the staff and receptionists make you feel well taken care of and welcomed as well. I have had multiple teeth cleaning appointments and also had two of my wisdom teeth extracted here as well. The nurses and doctors make you feel safe and they treat you very well. When I called initially to inquire about registering as a new patient, Chau was very nice and understanding on the phone, answering any questions I may have, and following up with me to ensure that all my insurance documents and forms will be set before my appointment. There is a New Patient Form on their website that you just have to complete before the appointment to save time. When I arrived at their office for my appointment, I immediately noticed the cleanliness and neatness of the place. There's Nintendo Wii and Xbox stations for kids, large TV, lots of seating at the waiting room, good lighting, really great set-up over-all, a very welcoming atmosphere. Just about 3 minutes after I arrive for my 10AM appointment, I was then greeted by Daisy, a dental hygienist. She asked me first of all if I have any immediate concerns with my dental health, and the main reason for my visit. I told her I do want to register, and that I have not gone to the dentist in at least 8 years.. yikes! During the comprehensive exam, before Daisy proceeded with each test, she would explain to me the process first, and what needs to be done. After showing me the results of my photos and x-rays, she gave me advice on how to maintain good dental health, and also what procedures I had to go through to fix some very few issues with my teeth. Oh, and here's the best part. There are 2 TVs in the room! One on the wall for when you're sitting up, and one on the ceiling right in front of you for when you're laying down, so you can watch TV and distract yourself during cleaning or any procedure they are doing. The whole time I was holding the remote control... nice.. well, in my opinion that distracted me and made me feel a little less crazy and distracted from all the drilling I can hear. Dr. Daniel dropped by for a few minutes, introduced himself, again made me feel comfortable and ran some quick checks as well. He has a very soothing voice and a very friendly smile, again making me feel calm. After the appointment, I was given a bag of goodies.. YAY! I have another appointment coming up in a week, and I am sure it will be as great as this one! I highly recommend ForestBrook Dental. I already convinced my husband to sign-up as well. Before my appointment, I learned that my originally booked dentist had an emergency. Dr. Igor Vujanic (who is also the owner of the practice) stepped in to take care of me, along with his assistant. I couldn't have asked for better care. Both were warm, friendly, and professional from start to finish. Dr. Igor took the time to clearly explain what he was doing, which I really appreciated -- it made the whole experience much more comfortable. Best of all, I was done within 30 minutes of sitting in the chair. A couple of practical tips for new patients: this is a very busy office, so booking ahead is essential as they fill up fast, especially it seems the practice recently went from 4 dentists down to 3. Also, I'd suggest giving yourself more than a tight one-hour window for your appointment -- in a real-world clinical setting, previous appointments can sometimes run a little over, and you don't want to feel rushed. Plan for a comfortable buffer and you'll have a stress-free visit. This clinic puts itself on a stage where it preaches a family like atmosphere with it's patients, asking you friendly questions, trying to get to know you by asking about favourite interests on it's intake form, adding confusion as to whether or not this is actually a dental practice office or if it's a hipster joint that you're registering for an ID card at. In addition to it's problematic, arrogant, self serving, & over priced dental surgeon, Dr. Botbol, they have an anesthesiologist that will call to discuss the procedure further with you and whether or not they think you're a good fit for the services this particular anesthesiologist can offer in this clinic (seeing as how it isn't an OR room). This man is just as arrogant, if not even MORE offensive in his treatment of people, going as far as to put me down into a mentally small box for having borderline personality disorder, claiming that I could wake up and be a danger to the office at one point because of the "unpredictable nature of your mood disorder." I would never, never ever, recommend anyone to this clinic. While they reign you in with false promises, they do nothing for the patient to supply & execute the process. They just layout the prices for you on multiple pieces of wasted paper, exercising their rights to charge you thousands of dollars, and saddle you with an impossible bill - all the while charming you, telling you it all with a smile on their face. After all, that's what they are all about, creating a world where everyone and anyone can smile and feel good about it. This particular clinic went so far as to goad my autism and Dr. Botbol decidedly pointed out that he was surprised I could have achieved that, as well taking it upon himself to "let me know" that I don't "present" as someone with autism. Do yourself a favour. Find a different, more welcoming & inclusive environment.
