I took my 4 month old car into Royal Coach for an estimate when it received body damage from a car wash door not opening. The damage occurred over the entire car. The car wash assumed liability but their insurance company was difficult to deal when I submitted the damages. John at Royal Coach assured me that he would handle all the details and told me not to worry. Sure enough, when I picked up my car, it was as good as new from top to bottom. Royal Coach handled all the details including setting up a rental through Hertz. To take if one step further, when I called to set up my pick up, they informed me that my check oil light had come on. They offered to change the oil for me if I needed it. This just showed me how much Royal Coach valued me as a customer. I can't say enough good things about how well Royal Coach treated me and the flawless job they did repairing my Dodge Durango. They are simply the best! read more

I've always liked this place. I've taken 4 cars here, and the guys here won't try to rip you off by selling you things you don't need. They are very honest about whatever repairs you might need, in the degrees of severity, and can give different prices based on used or new or custom buit parts. I had a car with weird mechanical problems that I'd taken twice to another shop to get fixed and it seems like that place just replaced a bunch of random parts on guesses. I brought my car here and they immediately found the problem, which was tiny subtle cracks on a very small part. If you have weird mechanical problems, these guys can find why, and fix it. This place is always busy, you might have to leave your car here a week. But it's busy for a reason! read more

I have now been bringing my vehicles to Royal Coach for longer than I can remember. Originally it was because of the convenience of it being closest to home. But the best part of going there is the fact that it is an honest business that stands behind their work. Honest businesses are hard to find, these days. I typically have all mechanical work done there, but there has been body work I've needed and that work is impeccable! The owner John, seems to have been in the business for a lot of years, because he's very knowledgeable. The best part is, he won't let you waste a good buck on a vehicle that is too old and worn to be worth it, anymore. The service writer Joshua is the nicest guy. I see him greeting all his customers with a big smile, and treats them like family. When doing a service quote, he explains everything completely and advises on what needs to be done and what can wait, if need be. I especially like the punch cards with occasional free oil changes! Bringing in 3 vehicles for regular oil changes, sure gets a free one quickly! And Royal Coach's normal price on an oil change is a normal price, unlike some of the Oil Changing Chains that try to sucker a person into a $50.00 oil change. Recently had someone back into my new jeep with 3000k miles. With the car being so new, I was concerned they wouldn't have the parts. The guys did a bang up job. Work was done in under a week and was returned to me freshly washed with the interior detailed. (I paid $90 extra for an interior detail) Didn't have any problems with the rental process either. Over all great job. Only complaints I would have is that it did take them over a month for them to take my car after I got the quote since it was drivable. Kinda a bummer. Also, the rental car i was provided either didn't have washer fluid or it wasn't working. Kinda a must in the winter. Other than that, perfect! read more

I had a small dent on my door. The owner who I dealt with was very friendly, attentive and took time to explain everything to me. They were VERY busy so I almost walked out initially but I am glad I didn't. They fixed my dent beautifully and quickly and even sent a thank you note in the mail a few days later. Hopefully I won't need to be back as that would mean I would have more damage to my vehicle however if I need any future repairs I will definitely be back. read more

Brought my car in for an estimate and repairs. Was treated very well from day one. Have no idea what Tony D. was complaining about. They were straight with me from the start and were efficient and accurate with their estimate. They coordinated my needs for a rental car and had it available right there at their shop on time. The repairs were done professionally and in a reasonable time frame. I cannot tell there was even any damage to my car. They cleaned my car both inside and out. BTW, I am not related to anyone working at the shop either by blood, friendship, or professionally. read more

My work truck was involved in an accident. I had it towed to Royal Coach in Bartlett. They determined that the truck was totaled. While the truck was in their possession for almost 3 weeks, my invertor in the back of the truck was stolen. When the truck was originally towed I gave 2 keys to JP Michaels, one for the back of the truck, and one for the front. When the invertor was discovered missing, I was told by the Owner, John Zankowski, to "report it to insurance they'll pay for it", that was not the case. When I finally had my truck towed out of there, they had lost my key to the back. They told me my employees probably stole the invertor. They told me they didn't steal the invertor. If they are so confident it wasn't one of their employees than why didn't they offer to look at cameras. I'm quite positive they are throughout the establishment. It's a large business, covering alot of ground, I'm sure there's cameras. A Police report was filed with the Bartlett Police Department. Anyone who takes their vehicle to Royal Coach beware, and don't leave anything valuable as it may be gone when you return. read more

Some assbag thought it would be a good idea to toss a brick through the rear window of my brand new Grand Cherokee. I hadn't even made the first frigging payment on it yet! After getting in touch with my insurance company, they sent me a list of shops in their 'network' that they deal with. No Jeep dealers around me have body shops or that would have been the route I took, so I started researching reviews on the shops they provided. Most seemed shady with multiple bad reviews, but Royal Coach had great reviews and was near the house. So glad I took my brand new vehicle to them to do the repairs. I took about a week to get it back, but most of that was them having trouble finding an OEM window for a '15 vehicle...since they had just come out. I was aware that it might be an issue, but said I'd wait however long it took. They have a Hertz on-site, so getting the rental car for that time was a piece of cake. The rental had some major trans issues, but that's not really the shops fault, and the car still got me from A to B while they fixed my Jeep. They kept in touch with updates throughout the week and did find my OEM window I needed to have. Replaced the trunk molding, the trunk visor, touched up a few scuffs in the paint from the brick and put in a new window. The Jeep was BRAND NEW...and it still looks brand new. They did an amazing job with the work. You'd never know what happened. They even had the extra little jar of my OEM paint hanging next to the steering wheel when I picked it up. John and his team at Royal Coach really went above and beyond in getting my car back to the state it was...which as I said was brand frigging new. Thanks to everyone for the piece of mind I now have with my Jeep looking like nothing happened and also with the belief that not all auto shops are out to screw you or half-ass something that you really cherish. Will definitely recommend to friends and family, and will definitely bring other vehicles to Royal Coach for any future bricks through windows; or anything else for that matter. read more

Royal Coach is the ONLY shop that I will allow to work on my vehicles. I live over 30 miles away in Chicago so one thing it's not is convenient for me. That said, it still makes great sense for me to go there. I bought a used ground effect spoiler for my corolla on ebay to replace a damaged one. And was looking for a body shop to paint it. Brought it to Royal Coach to get painted and brought in the other spoiler so they could match the color. They quoted around $200 to prep and paint the one spoiler (which I thought was fare). I had read some good reviews on them. When I arrived to pick up the painted spoiler, they had painted both of them! They didn't charge me any extra. I get why they probably did it, was probably hard to match the color exactly, so they did them both, but still was very nice of them to do that. The spoilers looked like new! My van was rear-ended and my insurance recommended Royal Coach. We all know getting your car repaired can be a PITA, so let me get the few negatives out of the way. Since it was drive able, I had to wait a month for an appointment and a little more contact during the week it was in the shop as to the status on the repair would have been nice (I had to call in after the due date to get an update). I can see where one of the reviewers said an employee was off-putting, but he did give a realistic quote and all the other employees were great, cordial and professional. It is really nice they have a rental car desk at the facility and they even work with other rental companies. They thoroughly went over the repairs and warranties. They took care of everything from working with my insurance adjuster, setting up my rental onsite, and fixing not only my mangled car, but doing an amazing job!
