I have a '96 Cadillac Fleetwood. It is pristine, but I have had some minor accident issues with it,\. The latest one was the driver's side rear view mirror (heated and powered) was knocked off. The car is 24 years old. The mirror was not repairable but John found a replacement (I don't know how) and the car is like new again. I know they went to a LOT of trouble to locate this no longer available part. Because of this and other issues over the years that any other place would just have abandoned or just "short cut", R/C rates with me as the finest auto service outfit on the planet. The only people that will ever come near my Caddy with any tools are me and the crew at Royal Coach. These guys are the poster boys for how to do the job perfect. Thanks, John and the whole crew !! read more

Look, there are a lot of body shops out there, but Royal Coach is head and shoulders above any of them. I am in the insurance business and work with many shops so when I needed some work done on my daughters car I knew where I was headed. John and his staff are professional courteous, prompt and they know all of the ins and outs of working with insurance companies. I had read end damage to the tune of about $5,000 replaced everything with OEM parts and buffed and waxed the entire car. There are no other options! read more

Like most consumers, the only time one feels like publicly stating their experience with a local business, is to complain, not this time though! My experience with Royal Coach is that THEY ARE TRULY TOP NOTCH!!! I have had numerous dealings with this company, and I have to tell you all, that each one was better than the one before it!! Their body shop has repaired everything from "door dings" to a complete front end rebuild on a vehicle that had only 2,000 miles on it. I even took my boat to Royal Coach, and it came back looking like it just left the showroom floor. I have recommended this company to all of my friends/relatives, and I do that with all the confidence in the world. Thanks to John, and to all of the employees at Royal Coach, you have earned a customer for life! Mike G Bartlett,IL read more

Body work well done. We had our two cars in at the same time with short notice because we wanted them done while we were on vacation. They were able to get them completed and dropped off the car for us the day we came home. The work looks great! read more

So honest and everyone who works here is just SO nice. I am so happy I found this place !! I am watching the employees ( many different ones) interact with all the customers and am so impressed. They really go above and beyond and make a customer feel appreciated. I will keep coming here for sure. read more

I took my 4 month old car into Royal Coach for an estimate when it received body damage from a car wash door not opening. The damage occurred over the entire car. The car wash assumed liability but their insurance company was difficult to deal when I submitted the damages. John at Royal Coach assured me that he would handle all the details and told me not to worry. Sure enough, when I picked up my car, it was as good as new from top to bottom. Royal Coach handled all the details including setting up a rental through Hertz. To take if one step further, when I called to set up my pick up, they informed me that my check oil light had come on. They offered to change the oil for me if I needed it. This just showed me how much Royal Coach valued me as a customer. I can't say enough good things about how well Royal Coach treated me and the flawless job they did repairing my Dodge Durango. They are simply the best! read more

I've always liked this place. I've taken 4 cars here, and the guys here won't try to rip you off by selling you things you don't need. They are very honest about whatever repairs you might need, in the degrees of severity, and can give different prices based on used or new or custom buit parts. I had a car with weird mechanical problems that I'd taken twice to another shop to get fixed and it seems like that place just replaced a bunch of random parts on guesses. I brought my car here and they immediately found the problem, which was tiny subtle cracks on a very small part. If you have weird mechanical problems, these guys can find why, and fix it. This place is always busy, you might have to leave your car here a week. But it's busy for a reason! read more

I have now been bringing my vehicles to Royal Coach for longer than I can remember. Originally it was because of the convenience of it being closest to home. But the best part of going there is the fact that it is an honest business that stands behind their work. Honest businesses are hard to find, these days. I typically have all mechanical work done there, but there has been body work I've needed and that work is impeccable! The owner John, seems to have been in the business for a lot of years, because he's very knowledgeable. The best part is, he won't let you waste a good buck on a vehicle that is too old and worn to be worth it, anymore. The service writer Joshua is the nicest guy. I see him greeting all his customers with a big smile, and treats them like family. When doing a service quote, he explains everything completely and advises on what needs to be done and what can wait, if need be. I especially like the punch cards with occasional free oil changes! Bringing in 3 vehicles for regular oil changes, sure gets a free one quickly! And Royal Coach's normal price on an oil change is a normal price, unlike some of the Oil Changing Chains that try to sucker a person into a $50.00 oil change. I'll continue to be a customer for life! read more

Recently had someone back into my new jeep with 3000k miles. With the car being so new, I was concerned they wouldn't have the parts. The guys did a bang up job. Work was done in under a week and was returned to me freshly washed with the interior detailed. (I paid $90 extra for an interior detail) Didn't have any problems with the rental process either. Over all great job. Only complaints I would have is that it did take them over a month for them to take my car after I got the quote since it was drivable. Kinda a bummer. Also, the rental car i was provided either didn't have washer fluid or it wasn't working. Kinda a must in the winter. Other than that, perfect! read more

They did a first-rate job with my car. Answered all my questions very clearly up-front, were well organized, and the car body work looks great. They were booked up and took a few weeks to schedule, but were worth the wait. read more

Hands down the best body shop when it comes to quality of work. And they return your car to you absolutely spotless inside and out. Sure you have to wait several weeks to get your car in to be fixed, but it's so worth it. From the estimate stage to picking up my car once it was all repaired each and every person at Royal Coach were spot on with their customer service and great attitude. They were recommended to me and in turn I will recommend them when given the opportunity. read more

Once again, Royal Coach has gone above and beyond for me and my car. Excellent work, friendly people, professional and they keep the customer updated on their progress. They are willing to go to bat for their customers when it comes to their insurance companies attempting to be cheap, or do the wrong thing. My Pontiac G8 GT seems to be a magnet for folks hitting me, and they put her back like she was. So grateful. read more

Royal Coach is great. They also do engine service, prices are competitive. Craig and his staff are very knowledgable and friendly.

I had a small dent on my door. The owner who I dealt with was very friendly, attentive and took time to explain everything to me. They were VERY busy so I almost walked out initially but I am glad I didn't. They fixed my dent beautifully and quickly and even sent a thank you note in the mail a few days later. Hopefully I won't need to be back as that would mean I would have more damage to my vehicle however if I need any future repairs I will definitely be back. read more

If you need any kind of body work done on your car, there is no other place to go than Royal Coach. Excellent service & pricing and the end result is phenomenal. I have used them twice now and the end result is so amazing, you would never know there was ever anything wrong! John provided the estimate and was very patient explaining the work to be done and set expectations accordingly. Not only was the work exceptional - but they came in UNDER the original estimate provided! I highly recommend Royal Coach and I will undoubtedly use them if ever needed again! The way this guy treats his employee's is awful. For that reason I will not be going back. He looked at me like I was just some dollar amount walking threw the door. Business owners that teach their staff to treat people like that should not be supported. My work truck was involved in an accident. I had it towed to Royal Coach in Bartlett. They determined that the truck was totaled. While the truck was in their possession for almost 3 weeks, my invertor in the back of the truck was stolen. When the truck was originally towed I gave 2 keys to JP Michaels, one for the back of the truck, and one for the front. When the invertor was discovered missing, I was told by the Owner, John Zankowski, to "report it to insurance they'll pay for it", that was not the case. When I finally had my truck towed out of there, they had lost my key to the back. They told me my employees probably stole the invertor. They told me they didn't steal the invertor. If they are so confident it wasn't one of their employees than why didn't they offer to look at cameras. I'm quite positive they are throughout the establishment. It's a large business, covering alot of ground, I'm sure there's cameras. A Police report was filed with the Bartlett Police Department. Anyone who takes their vehicle to Royal Coach beware, and don't leave anything valuable as it may be gone when you return. read more

Good job. Joshua, took his time to explain what he did and very honest with any further repair. Cost is average, but work is excellent!!! Very satisfied customer will recommend their services. read more

Brought my car in for an estimate and repairs. Was treated very well from day one. Have no idea what Tony D. was complaining about. They were straight with me from the start and were efficient and accurate with their estimate. They coordinated my needs for a rental car and had it available right there at their shop on time. The repairs were done professionally and in a reasonable time frame. I cannot tell there was even any damage to my car. They cleaned my car both inside and out. BTW, I am not related to anyone working at the shop either by blood, friendship, or professionally. read more

I had been waiting ~ 30 mins for roadside assistance at the parking lot when they pulled in. My battery was dead. Five guys on their lunch break jumped in to help me out without being asked. All were respectful, professional, and eager to help. This was 2012 and I will never forget your kindness. Thank you. read more

Some assbag thought it would be a good idea to toss a brick through the rear window of my brand new Grand Cherokee. I hadn't even made the first frigging payment on it yet! After getting in touch with my insurance company, they sent me a list of shops in their 'network' that they deal with. No Jeep dealers around me have body shops or that would have been the route I took, so I started researching reviews on the shops they provided. Most seemed shady with multiple bad reviews, but Royal Coach had great reviews and was near the house. So glad I took my brand new vehicle to them to do the repairs. I took about a week to get it back, but most of that was them having trouble finding an OEM window for a '15 vehicle...since they had just come out. I was aware that it might be an issue, but said I'd wait however long it took. They have a Hertz on-site, so getting the rental car for that time was a piece of cake. The rental had some major trans issues, but that's not really the shops fault, and the car still got me from A to B while they fixed my Jeep. They kept in touch with updates throughout the week and did find my OEM window I needed to have. Replaced the trunk molding, the trunk visor, touched up a few scuffs in the paint from the brick and put in a new window. The Jeep was BRAND NEW...and it still looks brand new. They did an amazing job with the work. You'd never know what happened. They even had the extra little jar of my OEM paint hanging next to the steering wheel when I picked it up. John and his team at Royal Coach really went above and beyond in getting my car back to the state it was...which as I said was brand frigging new. Thanks to everyone for the piece of mind I now have with my Jeep looking like nothing happened and also with the belief that not all auto shops are out to screw you or half-ass something that you really cherish. Will definitely recommend to friends and family, and will definitely bring other vehicles to Royal Coach for any future bricks through windows; or anything else for that matter. read more

I've been a customer for YEARS! As a single woman, I have always been afraid of being taken advantage of when it comes to car repair. I absolutely trust the folks at Royal Coach. Not only is the service top notch but they actually will tell me that I don't need a particular repair or service at the time and when I should return to have it done. They explain the findings and make recommendations for repairs and future maintenance. Thanks to the staff at Royal Coach for making my life a little easier. read more

I went there for my very first time (found it on Yelp) to have a big dent fixed before I sell my car. They did better than fixing it and suggested a cheaper solution; now that's exceeding expectations. It was completed as they suggested and they reviewed their work with me before asking to be paid. Highly recommended. read more

Royal Coach is the ONLY shop that I will allow to work on my vehicles. I live over 30 miles away in Chicago so one thing it's not is convenient for me. That said, it still makes great sense for me to go there. I've been doing business with them for close to 30 years and I've never had to bring my back to have anything redone- the job has always been done right the first time (and on time if not before). You don't find many businesses like this anymore that take such pride in their work and put their customers first. read more

Royal Coach just finished up fixing a collision in the front and rear of our 2009 V.W. Passat and all I can say is it looks better than when I bought the car brand new. I would not reccomend anyone go anywhere but Royal Coach for body work on their car. read more

I bought a used ground effect spoiler for my corolla on ebay to replace a damaged one. And was looking for a body shop to paint it. Brought it to Royal Coach to get painted and brought in the other spoiler so they could match the color. They quoted around $200 to prep and paint the one spoiler (which I thought was fare). I had read some good reviews on them. When I arrived to pick up the painted spoiler, they had painted both of them! They didn't charge me any extra. I get why they probably did it, was probably hard to match the color exactly, so they did them both, but still was very nice of them to do that. The spoilers looked like new! I would recommend Royal Coach. read more

My van was rear-ended and my insurance recommended Royal Coach. We all know getting your car repaired can be a PITA, so let me get the few negatives out of the way. Since it was drive able, I had to wait a month for an appointment and a little more contact during the week it was in the shop as to the status on the repair would have been nice (I had to call in after the due date to get an update). I can see where one of the reviewers said an employee was off-putting, but he did give a realistic quote and all the other employees were great, cordial and professional. It is really nice they have a rental car desk at the facility and they even work with other rental companies. They thoroughly went over the repairs and warranties. My van looks great and the other patrons that were there for regular repairs all seemed very satisfied. Was my experience perfect, No. Was it better than expected Oh Yes. read more

I don't normally read or write reviews...unless it comes to my car. Royal Coach was great on all aspects. They were friendly, willing to work around my schedule, affordable, and most importantly the work done was perfect. I would highly recommend them to any friend. read more

Someone hit my car and took off :( It sucked. Royal Coach was the silver lining in my tragedy. They took care of everything from working with my insurance adjuster, setting up my rental onsite, and fixing not only my mangled car, but doing an amazing job! They even detailed and cleaned the inside of my car!! For anyone who has children under three, you can imagine my delight. I waited almost a month for them to get me in, by choice. They have other locations, but Adam, John , and J.P. always go the extra mile and are worth the wait. I would recommend them to my family/friends or anyone looking for an honest repair shop. read more
