I decided to visit this theater specifically to experience the "World's Tallest IMAX" screen. Since I was seeing Project Hail Mary, I figured it would be a perfect movie to immerse myself in and this theater did not disappoint. My main tip, however, would be this: DO NOT PURCHASE SEATS IN ROW F, which is the first section in the back portion of the theater. What the online ticketing wont tell you is that these are partially obstructed view seats due to the "clear" railings. Although the railings are indeed clear plastic, they are about 5 ft tall and therefore directly blocking your view while sitting down. Instead, I would recommend purchasing seats either towards the front in rows G or H or all the way towards the back of the theater. It will be a much more enjoyable experience, especially if seeing a 2.5 hr or more movie like we did. read more

The staff were not very helpful. Young and not trained to help or have customer service. The sound in the IMAX was way too loud. It was distorted and could not make out the words spoken during certain scenes. Left with a headache. My last time to do a IMAX here. More is not better. Cinemas are very humid, A/C must not be working properly. Seat recliners not remotely comfortable. The women's bathrooms were DISGUSTING. I couldn't even think about ordering any food or drink knowing how gross this place is. Save yourself the aggravation and go to GTC Cinemas across the street. read more

The sound in the IMAX theater is terrrible, just way too loud and boomy, all base and no treble, so quiet dialogue gets drowned out or can't be heard clearly. The seats are ok, but getting to them can be a problem. To get to the seats up top (for example, row B) you have to climb stairs that are poorly lit and have a handrail so low that normal sized adults can't reach it without bending way way over. I'm 5-11 and I couldn't reach it without bending over so far I thought I was going to fall forward. Is somebody kidding or what? As for the screen, it's big, for sure, but all the action still takes place in the middle and the rest is stuff you don't care about it; so IMAX is kind of a ripoff unless there's lots of big wide shots of great stuff filling the screen. read more

We paid $58 for two Mission Impossible matinee tickets; we were shocked as this is the most we've ever paid for movie tickets. Unsure about "world's tallest," but the theater is impressive when you walk in. We also enjoyed all the murals on the way in with some of our favorite movie moments (e.g., Heath Ledger's Joker). Yes, the IMAX theater's sound/screen/seats are both modern and impressive. While we enjoyed the experience, we're unsure if the price point meets said experience. read more

I came, as many will, for a massive IMAX screen. The building from the outside looks like a tiny podunk theater with a separate massive IMAX section on the side, and that's pretty much what it is. The entrance had machines to redeem an online ticket (which is advisable if coming for an event movie as I did) or buy a new one, and half of them were broken. So too were the escalators leading one up to this huge IMAX screen. But the end product was as advertised: the screen is huge and the sound bone-shattering. The reclining seats with little tray tables were suitable enough to sit in for a three-hour movie. The restrooms were not remotely plentiful enough to handle the people flooding in thereafter. So basically: big-ass screen, not a lot else positive to say for the place. And it was an expensive ticket. But for the right event, I'm happy enough that I went. read more

Back again, same review, but with some photos. Also, the cushion on one of our seats was sliding off, and both escalators are broken. This place needs help before it totally detriorates. I frequent this movie theater pretty often and I have never had a bad experience. The food items are always fresh and the wait is usually not long. Watched the new Top Gun Maverick movie at the IMAX. Movie was great! Theater is nice. TALLEST IMAX: After recent upgrades, this theater claims to have tallest IMAX in the world. To be honest, I wouldn't have known if they didn't tell me. All IMAX are big and this didn't seem to be any different. AVOID ROW F AT IMAX: this is middle row with isle in front, so you don't have anyone sitting immediately in front of you. Seems like prime seats. However I discovered there is a glass wall in front of you that protrudes up to impact view of bottom of screen. I posted picture to show the issue. TICKET KIOSKS: You use kiosks to pickup tickets you bought online, or to buy tickets buy tickets on premise. There are only three, so be prepared for a line during busy times. BAR: They have a bar area if you wish to order adult beverages. This is not something you find in just any theater. FOOD COUNTER - Enjoy free refills on popcorn and soda fountain drinks. It is well managed and the line moves quickly. I was impressed! The butter and large selection of cheesy shaker toppings are located off to the side of the counter to move you out of the way. read more

Looks like this place has had a little bit of a facelift since my last time here 2 years ago. This time our theater had recliners in every row. They still have the popcorn seasoning for free by the butter stations, which is awesome! Their concession items and ticket prices are lower than competitors, which I greatly appreciate. You can still see a movie without spending $100 here. They also have a sweet IMAX! Usually you can book tickets online, but their site wasn't working all day. We showed up and got tickets at the kiosk. Only downside the tickets were sold out and we weren't able to reserve online earlier in the day because of it. All ticket sales are done through the kiosk now. No face to face ticket sales. All seats are reserved. They do have handicap seating in each theater. read more

I have only been here once and that was to watch Paw Patrol with my 4 year old. It was her first move experience and she loved it. We ordered tickets online to make sure we had a prime viewing location. She loved her popcorn and pizza and there were smiles on her face the entire time. It was very easy to come watch a movie here. No monitoring at all of patrons. Two teenagers talked and made immature comments the entire movie right beside us. Nobody checked tickets so you could easily walk in and watch a movie for free. The lights were turned on before the special clip at the end of the credits which was the main thing us fans wanted to see. The IMAX screen is indeed large and the sound powerful. It was disappointing, though, to spend $56 for two tickets and to have LED lights from the steps and exits spilling out onto the screen. Any time the screen was supposed to be black, light and shadows from the seating area were visible on the screen. If you're going to charge top dollar for a premium experience, you should get these sorts of details right. Hope someone sees this and fixes it. read more

Very nice theater, clean, friendly staff. Saw Dune 2 in world's tallest imax. Dissapointing that when the screen is dark, you can see the shadow of the backs of the chairs due to the lights on the floor that are left on during the movie along with the lights on the sides of the theater that impede on the screen too. Considering that a large portion of this movie is in caves and dark, it was pretty noticeable. For $25 I hoped this would be the best theater experience ever, but I couldn't get over it. read more

I really like being able to select seats online, pay and just pick them up at the machine on site. Only negative of it, there are no discounts given (e.g military). Some of the reclining seats are already showing wear, and they are not very old. Service is good, and friendly. Ample parking available. read more

Absolutely wonderful theater with an amazing Dolby sound system to die for - yep that's the problem. They have the volume turned up so loud that it is literally painful and at unsafe decibel levels. Requests for lowering the volume went unheeded. We actually left the theater and they refunded our ticket price, but our afternoon at the movies was a bust. What a disappointment to return to a cinema experience after so many years to loose out to incompetence. I have never had to leave anywhere due to volume, but I have the headache to support my case in fleeing this place. read more

This is a really clean movie theater. It has the recliner type chairs and regular chairs. You actually choose your seats when you get your tickets. They offer all the usually candy and popcorn but also pizza. The matinee show is $7 a ticket. The kids that work there are always nice. read more

It's okay. From the outside I thought it would like quite different inside but it was just alright. Then again, I'm not really sure what I was expecting. I might have been tainted by my family's opinion of this place and perhaps that's what did it. Funny, since I tried not to let it do that any other time but they were really trying to avoid this place. LOL I suppose the idea of seeing a movie was too much and the other theaters were either too much trouble to get to or the show times weren't jiving with our schedule. So they broke down and decided to come here. I enjoy box offices that are situated inside the theater since purchasing tickets can sometimes be something out of National Geographic in terms of weather. The theater was clean and the outside of the IMAX theater is sort of odd - I guess the idea was to make it feel as though it was its own theater altogether. Kind of hard to describe but I think I took pictures that I'll have to upload so you can see what I mean. read more

As far as I am concerned, this is the nicest theater in Savannah/Pooler! You can reserve your seats online. You don't have to go to the theater, look at the lines and wonder if you are going to be in the front row of your movie. These theaters have been remodeled with super comfy reclining seats! (except the Imax theater, this theater has more seats, but is regular seating). There is a dinner theater where you can grab a drink and dinner. It is a small selection of drinks and the food is not the best. I recommend sticking with the popcorn. The only drawback to the recliner seats are they are a little pricier than the average theater seats. I think the matinee price is $9, Ouch! If you are looking for a bargain, I would check out Tuesday's where all movies (except IMAX) are $5. read more

I don't know how we landed in the theater inside the bar but score! I scoured the available theaters and reviews to find an updated theater w recliners, showing Valerian on Thursday night. Regal fit that bill. It was 20 mins from our hotel downtown. Popcorn was good, with self serve butter fountain. Medium bag was $5. Since we were in the bar, there was alcohol service. Not complaining about the price but do wish they had better choices. Service was super friendly but clueless regarding wine so be prepared. You choose your seats at the ticket counter. Seats come with a small lumbar pillow and push button reclining. I was so comfortable. Husband humored me in my choice of film and promptly fell asleep in his recliner. The theater was great. The movie not so much. Bring a blanket or pullover to cuddle up and enjoy the show. read more

Went to see the Strangers at this particular movie theater. Not too far from the Tanger Outlets. The insides were nice. No long lines. Great customer service. Police were present anything wild that would pop off. In the actual movie theater itself, they were really nice. Clean, and also had motorized reclining seats. You also have the option to reserve your seating prior to the start of the movie showing. The only downfall was that there was this 400lb man sitting two seats next to me and it seemed like he was gasping for air every 5 minutes. I know the theater couldn't help that. Went to take my 4 year old to see her first imax movie. Just to be told to go into the wrong theater. When I noticed something was off and I asked the manger are you sure the movie is playing on this screen. I was told yes. Long story short it wasn't the right screen and we missed 25mins of the movie. When I asked for my money back I was told that couldn't happen. Only that "they were under staff and they apologize for you inconvenience. We can give you free popcorn on your next viewing" you think that's fair? I will never go to this theater ever again. The largest IMAX screen in the world is an amazing experience for watching right movie. Convenient restrooms and amenities. The bad is the seats. They are torture devices. Haven't been this uncomfortable in a while. Seats only have fully up or reclining and "pillow" pushes your head down. Also, little dividing you and the person next to you. A few inches tops. I live 20 miles away from the theater. I tried to get online to find out if the IMAX theater was a discounted on Tuesday matinee time. Could not find anything. I tried to make a phone call nobody answered. I drove out to the theater only to find out the IMAX no matter what is $25. This very well may be the best theater in this area. But the lack of information on the cost is definitely a negative to me. On the day I found out it was $25 not only myself two other people going to the same show also left because of the price. Perhaps it would be wise to put the price in an area where everyone can see. Not everyone has the money to spend. Now I wasted my time and I wasted my gas. Would give this movie theater a 0 if I could. Went to a movie on a Saturday night with my beau. The customer service is horrible. They do not have enough people working at the theater. Purchased tickets before hand and had to go to a a long line to print tickets (old school), ticket taker doesn't have a ticket scanner. There are more police officers than there are employees. The police officers are paid to harass the young population, especially the ethnic teens. Will not be back to this poorly ran location. read more

I am here on a Tuesday. There are signs everywhere which say all tickets $5 every Tuesday. My movie is in the IMAX part of the theater and it is the Tuesday after Christmas but the signs say every Tuesday and all tickets. I bought 2 tickets for $28. Am I missing something? My husband and I wanted to see the avengers endgame movie while on vacation in Hilton head South Carolina. We always watch our movies an IMAX format at home and Pooler Georgia was the closest IMAX we could find to Hilton head. We were very pleased with the theater. We were a little worried since we couldn't book our seats in advance online, but we showed up early enough to be first in line to enter the theater. The seats are tall high back leather seats. The screen was crystal clear and the sound system was enough to make your chair vibrate. We also saw it in 3-D which really made the movie come to life. I definitely recommend this theater and now wished that the imax in my hometown in CA was as good as this one. read more
