GTC is one of two movie theaters in Pooler and gives you that traditional movie theater feel. The screening rooms were built with the reclining seats in mind and are EXTRA comfortable! I would recommend purchasing your ticket in advance as they do work in a reserved seating format, not open seating. Kiosks are available in the lobby as well. If you have a mobile ticket you can go right to the attendant to see your movie. I've seen other comments stating that the line for concessions is long - that was our experience as well. Jordan and I went to GTC Pooler Movies to watch The Devil Wears Prada and had such a great experience. The theater itself is really nice, but what stood out the most were the chairs, super comfy and honestly kind of fancy. They have two different buttons so you can adjust your position, which made the whole movie even more enjoyable. The concession area was also very well stocked, with plenty of options, and everything felt clean and organized. On top of that, everyone we interacted with was friendly and welcoming, which always makes a difference. The tickets were a bit on the pricey side, not sure if it was because of this specific movie or if that's just the standard now but overall, it felt worth it for the comfort and experience. Sometimes we prefer this movie theatre over the imax one on the other side of the outlets. Reclining chairs, good snacks, and the theaters are well taken care of. Bargain Tuesdays are a hit in this household! We do find it gets chilly, so we bring sweaters for blankets, even in the summer. read more

Went to see a movie on Black Friday, a busy day for movies. The theater was not prepared at all for the crowd. The floor everywhere was covered in popcorn and other trash, the bathroom was out of paper towels and very dirty. This Cinemas was okay, nothing compared to ours on the west coast but it did the job tonight. Oh, and at least they had comfortable reclining seats. The staff were nice, they were out of every flavor of icee but the coke one (which is disgusting to me). So we opted for the free drink in the complimentary cup (which was supposed to be water smh). The theater wasn't packed at all so we got to choose great seats and we weren't bothered. The movie was better than dinner so the night was still a win. read more

The last two times I have been to this theatre we have purchased tickets online with reserved seating only to get there and find that our reserved seats were not functioning properly. Last month the seats would not recline bc the controls were not functioning. I thought ok, that was just my misfortune. They will get that fixed by the next time I come to the theatre. Today we arrive with children to find our seats stuck in a fully reclined position and totally non functioning. We had to deal with it. This is NOT acceptable when we are paying good money for multiple tickets! On top of the seat situation, the popcorn was NOT fresh. Mind you it was an early matinee so you would think the popcorn would be very fresh. The soft drink dispensers are self serve. Having children with me, I did not taste my Sprite after filling my cup. To my surprise when I took my first swig of the drink I about gagged. It was pure carbonated water! When I went back to the dispenser I was told only one of three available Sprite dispensers were working. Not sure if they were out of the syrup or just lazy but the workers did not seem in any hurry to correct the situation or apologize for not having signage simply "Out". Also, as we entered the ladies bathroom. The stall first chosen had the toilet seat broken in half yet still connected to toilet. Again, if it is broken, put a sign on the stall door. On a positive note: the bathrooms were very clean. The movie started on time and screen viewing was great. The movie volume was perfect. It is my hope that leaving this review will encourage improvement in paying attention to details that patrons care about & expect. read more

Going to movie theaters all over the country. This is the first one that had electric reclining chairs. The price of the ticket was fair and the wife and I were only two watching the show. This movie theater is located very close to the outlet so that is convenient if you want to walk around before or after your movie. The four stars is because we came in on a Sunday during the matinee time frame and several food items were out of stock. Some of the butter dispensers did not work either. On a positive note, the chairs in the theater recline and you can pre-pick your seats. Also, the person accepting the tickets did allow us to go back out to our car to bring blankets in :-) If the theater can figure out the outages of food items and fix the butter dispensers that would be amazing! read more

Wicked was fantastic. However, this was by far the filthiest theater I've ever experienced. The piles of trash and littered floors spoiled our fun and resembled a landfill. The maintenance team was present but their toddler-sized brooms and dustpans are not appropriate for the task at hand. They are clearly under-resourced and mismanaged. Owners, step it up! Guests, you may want to shake out your clothes on the way out. I would post pics of the soiled baby diapers and leftover food items on the floor but I won't spoil your appetites. read more

I don't find myself at movie theaters very often, but when I do, I find myself at GTC Pooler Cinemas. My first time there, I was led there by a group of friends to view A Star Is Born (great movie, by the way) and I had a pleasant experience, so ever since, I've continued to go back. For our first family outing of 2020, we decided to start off the year by taking our kids to see the new Star Wars movie, The Rise of Skywalker since we have been watching all the previous movies last month in preparation for the new release. - Parking - Private lot. - Highlights - - They have assigned seating which seems to the trend these days and I honestly like this concept a lot. I've experienced this in theaters in Korea and Europe and I love the idea of picking your seats beforehand. It sets expectations and avoids disappointment. We do it at stadiums and event venues, why not also at the theater? - Large, comfy, automatic leather, recliner seats with large armrests and cupholders. - The theater is tidy and clean. On all of our visits, I have found the main area, the individual theaters, as well as the washrooms to be clean which is a big plus! - Popcorn was fresh - Conveniently located near restaurants, so you have a variety of choices to hang and munch before or after your movie. I noticed that they are having a series of showings called "Flashback Cinema" which is a screening of an old movie every Sunday and Wednesday. However, just FYI, the prices don't seem to be any cheaper. I think back to the old days in Montreal, when theaters would screen old movies for $2, which was a great way to fill up empty theaters during slow times, but this was also many moons ago. Anyway, regardless of the price, it's still cool to be able to see some of the classics back on the big screen. I would suggest to check showtimes and availability of the movies at Pooler because the commercial you see during the previews seems to show a whole bunch of movies that the group of GTC theaters are showing as a whole. I really enjoyed the seating but they only had 1 person running the VERY long concession stand which made us 15 min. late for our movie (Which was the second Top Gun). We got there in plenty of time so we shouldn't have missed anything. There was one person selling tickets and were were lucky we ordered ours online so we just grabbed it and left. Visiting town and decided to visit GTC Pooler Cinemas to watch Onward. Here's my take on my visit: Location and Establishment: conveniently located off Pooler Parkway. The theatre has plenty of free parking. Loved how the theatre was nice and clean and that the ease of purchasing ticket was seamless. They have automated machines and you get to chose your seats like many theaters do. Concessions: we ordered popcorn, candy and a drink. Popcorn was fresh and loved that the soda machine provides option to refill. Many theaters need to adopt this concept so nice job. Theater: the theatre we sat at was nice and clean, the seats were a nice surprise because they recline all the way and there's enough space. Nice job on that upgraded. The screen and sound quality were fantastic. Staff: the night we went anyone we encounter was very professional and helped with the movie experience. We found our Cinema. It's only 10 miles from us and well worth the Pooler Parkway drive. How many times have we seen cows or horses since we left Ohio? The Cinema was easy to find and since we were early we ducked into Starbucks for a latte. The Cinema was great. Clean,efficient, ample parking. Reclining sears for our show. Not sure if all shows have the padded reclining seats but they were comfortable and roomy. Bathrooms were spotless and well maintained. Our Cinema adventures in Savannah had a Rocky start with AMC near Abercorn but now we have found our goto place. Great matinee prices on Tuesdays for $5.50. read more

Well there are two theatres in Pooler to choose from. My boyfriend likes the other for the imax and dinner theatre. I prefer this one for the reclining seats and frozen coke (surprisingly the other theatre doesn't have frozen coke). Lol Anyways we came today for the Tuesday deal and it was a disaster. I think they are probably used to the Covid crowd and we're not prepared for the amount of customers that showed up today. The place was nasty-trash everywhere, cans overfilled, a/c not working properly in theatres, sound not working properly and unfortunately the frozen coke machine was out. But that's really the least of worries. I will say that every time we've gone to the competition it is always clean and fully staffed. read more

Comfort seats in all auditoriums. Seats can be reserved and tickets purchased online before arriving. This is highly recommended if you are attending a movie with a large group and want to sit together. Tickets can also be printed at kiosks if you do not want to wait in line for snacks. Self serve butter and salt with your popcorn. Clean facility. Lobby renovation appears to be complete. This is the only theater I attend. Comfort seats make the movie watching experience very enjoyable. read more

I've been to this theater quite a few times. This last time it was with the family. The staff is generally nice and polite. The bathrooms are clean and well stocked. They also do a really good job at keeping the theaters clean. They have the large recliner seats. They are very comfortable. You can adjust the legs up and tilt the back back. You pick out your seats before hand like you would at a concert or play. It's pretty cool. We got there really early and purchased our seats and then we walked over to Wild Wing Cafe and had a beer before the show. I haven't ever had any of the food or drink so I can't comment on that yet. read more

My family had a great time here seeing the new Mario Brothers movie. We bought tickets online and easily picked them up at the self-service kiosk. The staff was friendly and the concession area was nice and clean. We chose the GTX (I think that's what it was called) experience. I'm not sure what the difference is from the usual showings but the theater we were in was really nice. The seats were so comfortable and fully reclined, I might have dozed if the movie was less interesting. The floor was vacuumed and the seats weren't sticky. After the movie we used the bathrooms and they were clean. We don't get to the theater often but this was one of the nicer theaters we've been to in a while. read more

What a great theater! First, I loved that there are several Touch screens when you first walk in where you can purchase your tickets and choose your seats. Yes, you choose your seats ahead of time I like that)If you don't like using a touch screen to purchase your tickets, you can buy them from a person. The highlight of the movie experience was the seats. They are large, comfy, adjustable seats. They recline so far that you are practically lying down. With all the positives about this place I couldn't go with 5 stars because of the concessions. I've had much better popcorn and the pretzel I got wasn't good at all. This cinema has tons of room and the recliners. We were able to purchase tickets at the walk up kiosk instead of waiting in the concessions line. We were in the GTX theater which had a bigger screen & awesome sound. Saw Captain Marvel. Great experience. Tickets are $16 per person now outside of matinee hours. read more

Sooo after reading all other reviews I decided to bring my nieces here to watch Lyle, Lyle the Crocodile! There was one review that stated there was only one counter attendant, that did not change. His name was Lee last night and he deserves a raise! He was a respectable young man that was having a rough night, while being the only person to tend the snack counter. He also had a long line, kept his composure, and never gave an attitude even after I asked him was he okay and he told me No, not really. I really wanted to hop over and help him! The theater itself was very nice with reclining chairs (the kids loved that)! Sound was nice and view! 10/10. read more

Big La-Z-Boy reclining chairs? Yes please! This is one of the best movie theaters I've ever been in, if not the best. It was big clean and more comforts than home. When we first walked in, we bought our tickets on a touchscreen, where we also chose our seats. After we bought some popcorn and soda we went to our seats where we discovered that they are big reclinable la-z-boys. They have touch button controls to adjust the seat. The kids loved it. It kind of ruined me for other theaters. Obviously I recommend. read more

We really enjoy this theater. Tickets are easy to order online, you can pick them up at the kiosk or at the counter. The seats are very comfortable. I always bring a blanket with me. Being able to cozy up and recline in a huge theater is awesome. We have always dealt with nice staff. They were great to work with when I showed up one guest short and needed to refund a ticket. My lack of a star is due to the fact that the popcorn isn't always as fresh as I'd like. If I am going to pay an insane amount of money for popcorn it should always be fresh. This theater is the best in the area. NOTE: they do a deal with Mellow Mushroom (in front of them). A pizza and movie "date night" kind of deal. Very sweet and fun. read more

The absolute worst run movie theatre I've ever visited. Waited over 30 minutes for popcorn. While waiting I watched probably 8 people run around like chickens with their heads cut off. One worker let a lady cut the whole line because she walked up to a register bitching while the rest of us waited for more than 30 minutes. 1 and 2 registers open because of the 8 employees walking from the front to the back. Wow, those are some awesome seats! Lately I have made it a habit to order tickets online to movie theaters. One, because I make the decision to see a movie several days in advance. Two, because I don't want to get to the theatre only to be told there are no seats or I have to sit in the first row. I ordered online, where I also picked out my seats. There's some construction going on, so I don't know if normally it's easier to pick up the tickets at the theatre (this time I had to wait in line with everyone). The seats alone make this theatre worth coming back. I rarely get anything from the concession stand, so food and drink and never a concern for me. You just won over a new fan with this place! I can't believe I hadn't visited this theater before last night. We walked in and I was already impressed. Nice big open lobby, extremely friendly staff, clean facilities, bright and inviting environment. The prices are a tad bit high BUT it's well with the experience. Trust me. Upon walking into the room where our movie was playing we were greeted by friendly staff and got to select which seats we wanted to reserve from a touch screen register. The gentleman accepting ticket stubs kindly directed us to where we needed to go. Then the fun began... the reclining seats are truly a highlight and add so much to the experience. So many people stay home to watch movies because it's in the comfort of their own home but this place felt homey. You can kick your feet up, lay back and enjoy the show. The screen was huge, great quality picture and the sound was on point. We will be back, only next time... I'll bring a blanket like the people sitting next to us did. read more

Pretty good location. Much easier to purchase online so when you come in, it's quick and efficient. I highly suggest an update of the snack bar, but aside of that small hick up, this is my Pooler suggestion. The staff is friendly and respectful, I would continue to visit on that alone!
