This buffet is a little sleeper. It has the regular AYCE set up, but also has a small Mongolian BBQ grill as well. At the rear of the restaurant dining room. Bathrooms at least the men's bathroom was clean and had plenty of soap and paper towels to wash and dry your hands. The staff is helpful and accommodating. The seating areas are pretty large. Everything is included if you pay for the AYCA. There is Boba tea, with a price listed on the shelf in the cooler, just like the ice cream cups. If you don't get the buffet you have to pay the price for those items, as they will be all carte. The food choices are good, and prepared well. Cash/Credit/Debit are accepted here. It's nice to have a buffet back in the area. The place is massive and they really pack folks in. They keep it clean and the service is friendly. The price for an adult is about $20 which is going to bring in people, especially large families. Children under 2 years old eat for free. Children were everywhere. I was excited to eat here. The place was not very clean. The bathrooms are disgusting. The food was not hot ! The soup specifically the clam chowder was gross. It didn't even taste as good as the clam chowder from a can. They call it steak, but I call it mystery meat. The only thing that I really enjoyed was the crab Rangoon. The carrot cake. My Son wanted to celebrate his Birthday here. I saw this place on instagram and his friend told him about this place. They opened about 2 months ago. They have the usual Buffet fair and several different varieties of Shrimp, my Son loves Sushi so they have a Sushi Bar. You get your own drinks. The Staff was polite, but I think they can use more help in the Dining Room because our empty plates were pilling up and no one cleaned our table, so we sat them on an empty table to make room. We went here with friends who are frequent flyers and love this place. I can see why. The first thing they said to my friend was "welcome back". She was literally here yesterday with her kids:) Outside of the friendly greetings, this place is extremely clean with plenty of space for seating. The buffet is probably the largest one I have seen in the Baltimore area with lots of seafood offerings. I had to walk around the buffet before making a plate because there was so much to choose from. I started with the seafood boil which had shrimp, mussels, calamari, crawfish, corn and potatoes in it. It was pretty tasty. The string beans were seasoned with garlic and just the right amount crisp. I liked the bok choy, lightly seasoned but still flavorful. The octopus salad is an acquired taste but not bad if you're into this. The various shrimp offerings are delicious. This place is the Forrest Gump of shrimp. Get it streamed, salt & pepper, fried, garlic and many more. The salmon was good and moist. There's nothing worse than dry salmon. The fried chicken was nicely fried, but absolutely no taste and will need hot sauce for some zing. I also got something from the grill. Select your protein and veggies and they will hibachi them up for you. I chose shrimp and steak with mushrooms, broccoli, peppers, and onions. The only problem I had with this was the shrimp was over cooked and rubbery. The shrimp should be cooked last instead of with the steak which takes longer to cook. Next time I'm going to give him the shrimp separately to cook and see if that makes a difference. As far as drinks you have the option of getting your typical drinks from the soda fountain or the refrigerator. The refrigerated drinks include can sodas and boba teas. Can you believe it, boba! I fell in love with the strawberry tea boba. I may try the passion fruit or boba milk tea next time. I have never been to a buffet that has boba. Pretty impressive;) This is a great place to take your family. It's about $20/person and that's pretty reasonable considering how expensive food is nowadays. A local Chinese buffet is OVERDUE! My goodness, what a welcomed restaurant. Royal Buffet has filled the long-vacant building where Bill Bateman's once occupied. They appear to have repurposed the booth seating so that plus the exposed brick felt nostalgic of my Bateman's Friday happy hour days. This is your standard Chinese buffet. There are rows of options, nothing you haven't seen before, plus the desserts, sushi and hibachi. The truth is - Chinese buffets don't have to be special. You get exactly what you pay for. Really clean, the majority of the buffet items tasted fresh, a very large selection of various foods and drinks. The staff were attentive and kept tables clean. Many good selections of Chinese, sushi, hibachi, ribs, chicken, etc. If you're hungry - come here! The place was very busy on a Monday by 6 pm (it's still new). The banana pudding was delicious. A few desserts seemed stale, must have been out since lunch; but other than a few not so fantastic items. You can definitely find a handful of excellent options here. I saw a video on TikTok about all you can eat crab legs, seafood boil etc. I should have known better but against my better judgement I decided to try this place. Went on a Saturday around 3pm. It was about $46 for two people. The decor looks like any other buffet type restaurant, as far as I can tell it was clean. The buffet offering appeared to have quality selections but everything was either waxy, tasteless, had this weird funky taste and was over cooked. They have to do better in the kitchen. Instead of bussing our tables, the waiter walked around pushing a cart filled with dirty dishes. Laziest waiter I've ever seen. It ruined the dining experience. I am 66 years old and have been going to Chinese style buffets in several states since the 1980s and this new buffet is one of the very best I have ever eaten at. It is very large, very clean, huge selection, food temperature was just right and everything I had was great. The fried fish was perfect; flaky, light white fish perfectly coated and fried, not greasy at all. Chicken and Broccoli was excellent, Large perfectly fresh steamed shrimp on ice. The young people working there were very pleasant, very helpful and knowledgeable. I loved the fact that drinks were included and self service so you can get what you want when you want it. This should be a 2 stars by all accounts....Overall, food quality is worse than Charm City Buffet. There is definitely a component of issues with hygiene, in particular with enforcing the customers from behaving, like not bypassing the face guards over the food and not letting kids run around getting food and drinks by themselves. If you read the other reviews there have been occasional complaints about food temperature and that is a fair problem. Overall the quality of the food is even low compared to a standard Chinese buffet. I am all for a good value but ultimately this place did not live up even to its relatively cheap price for a Chinese buffet during these times of inflation. The ambience was very loud since there were many people on a Saturday night. Initially I thought that more people meant faster turnover and fresher food which was the case but since the selection was so lacking, it wasn't long before you have pretty much sampled everything that the place had to offer. Surprisingly the boba tea was good and they were even juice boxes for kids. As much as I appreciate their pricing model to bring in families, there is a problem with having too many little kids with two little oversight from the parents which which brought down the overall quality of the ambience and cleanliness. My three stars are purely because of a lack of buffet alternatives in this area and because of the overall low price in a climate of inflation.
