The food is good, warm, tasty and plenty of it. Come here if you are very hungry. They need: (1) spring onions for the Wonton Soup (2) Dipping sauce for all the fried shrimp and regular shrimp dishes (3) the mac and cheese was extremely watered down and tasteless. It would be better to leave it off the menu if that is what you are going to put out (4) they need desserts that are appetizing instead some unknown cake sitting there for hours uncovered, tiny little cakes and ice cream in little cups. They need large chocolate cakes and perhaps large coconut cream pies with covered lids along with the self-served ice cream from large containers. The service was exceptional. The staff is very cordial and helpful and never forgets about your table or drink. The place is very well lit. The only ambiance is when you are greeted in the front by the extremely gracious ladies. Nice mostly Chinese buffet. There are a lot of good options with some things not as good. Good sushi, mostly rolls. Good hibachi. Standard salad bar. Good soups. I have to agree the food is terrible here. I also called ahead and they told me it was $13 with a water and they end up charging me like $20. All of the food was old and hard and I tried hard to find anything with taste. It all just tastes like an unseasoned cardboard box. I did find one dish that was good here and that was the shredded beef tacos but I could only manage to eat 3 hard shell tacos not bc I was full but because their AC was broken and it was at least 95 degrees in there so I just couldn't take the heat anymore and left. If I could get this place as zero I definitely would. My son has medical issues and he wanted to eat so we stopped there to eat. He couldn't even take one bite of his hibachi and I asked him to make an exception because he could not eat at the time that we wouldn't go back to the Buffay to get more we just wanted to take it home so he could save it for later. So I've tried a Hibachi in a different part of town and I very much enjoyed it. Tonight my family and I went in and the experience was very poor. The food was cold, not freezing but definitely not warm. The food felt like it had been sitting there by being stale. The hostess and the waitress acted like we were an inconvenience. I have been here several times. It never disappoints. If nothing else tips you off the place tends to be packed to the rafters at the peak times (weekend lunch). I also have this rule; if you are looking for a cuisine go to places where the "natives" of that cuisine go. This place always has a broad sample of Asian hues. It also seems to be the kind of place people go to for events, like suit and tie. If you are a big eater this place is heaven. If you prefer to graze and sample you are also in luck. There is a broad variety of things to choose from. The Hibachi is "free" but they accept tips, same with sushi area. There isn't any set of dishes that blow you away, its just all good solid stuff. We have been a few times throughout the years. When they first opened it was fantastic. Since then it has gotten consistently worse, especially the last year or 2. Now when my husband wants to come here, I only eat what I pick to have them cook on the hibachi grill. The decor and upkeep of this place are seriously lacking. The carpet is... I don't even really know how to describe it... sticky? After the last time we came here I told my husband I would no longer come with him. The place was filthy and the service has always sucked. Hibachi is one of my favorite local buffets because of value/variety. The food isn't very premium but they do a fairly good job of delivering edible food. There are certainly some dishes better than others to me, but I've never found anything to be just horrible. The sushi has gone el-cheapo in the last year which really hurt my impression of the place but everything else seems to be the same. When called the man on phone said " of course it's working it's always working " . So we took his word and went . Well WRONG wasn't untill after we paid I noticed how hot it was . It was 89 inside. Ok - five stars? For what this place is - it deserves a five star rating - why - because it's more then a buffet and it's more then just a hibachi grill - therefore the combination is outstanding. My colleagues tried to tell me about this place, but I didn't believe it would be this good. You can gather up the raw foods you want cooked to your order - pick your sauce and while they cook that up for you - stroll on over to endless buffet stations that have everything available for you. From the coconut shrimp to sushi (which isn't bad for this type of setting) to all your favorites - meatloaf, fish, veggies - DESERTS (though they had a lot - this was a weakness - more like MY weakness as I had to sample at least 7 of them) even a person who doesn't like eating lots of carbs can find LOTS to eat here. Everything looked fresh - tasted great - the place was clean - didn't take the staff long to restock, remove empty place and refill our drinks. There wasn't a lot of co-mingling among different foods (again staff was on top of everything ensuring that the food was always as it should be). Finally the value simply cannot be beat. I know they must work off volume, but I just can't see how they can make money. We paid ten bucks for lunch and left satisfied - VERY satisfied! I have been here probably 20 times, including just yesterday. This place is top notch for a japanese buffet. The value is tremendous. Get there prior to 3:30pm and get lunch price for $7.50. The food is great. I stick with the hibachi only and love it. Others I have gone with the other offerings on the steam tables and there were never any complaints. By way of the japanese, stear clear of the steak(it's pretty tough) and get shrimp instead. I agree that the clientele isn't awesome. But c'mon, it's in Dundalk and it's cheap. This is a comparable place to the Hibachi Grill in Parkville. Actually, it's better. Although they have very similar dishes, they have better selection on fruits. For dinner, there's a nice raw oyster selection and their sushi contains a lot more choices. They have steamed maryland blue crabs instead of crawfish like the other Hibachi Grill off Joppa. So certain selections are different. But for the most part, the dishes are similar if not identical. For dessert, they have plenty of cakes, cookies, pies, etc. Their ice cream selection is awesome! It's not by the scoop. Their individualized ice cream bars! The food is OK, but for 9.99 per person (no tax or drink included) what more can you ask for? Give it a try! read more

I was all prepared to give this place a better review, because it had, at first, surprised us. Then, unfortunately, it surprised us again later. Let me explain what I mean. We were looking for a place to sit down and eat around the Eastpoint area, but Applebee's was too busy and we didn't feel like just walking up to a stand, so we decided to try this place. I remember it from when it used to be a Golden Corral, and it's similar, but has an Asian-style flair to it, so I thought, "Well, okay, it can't be that bad." The prices were solid for lunchtime - 7.50, AYCE. No problem. They had plenty of "healthier" items such as fresh salad, vegetables, etc., and LOTS of seafood. I mean baked fish, octopus, that kind of thing, and you could also get it in a stir-fry if you desired. It was actually pretty good in variety - of course, they have the ubiquitous fried crap and heavy, starchy, carby American fare, but we more or less stayed away from that. They have a LOT of items, though - soup, salad, sushi, a stir-fry bar, plus the awful fried carby crap previously mentioned, so there's something for everyone here. They have a fairish dessert bar, with cake, pudding, ice cream bars, and plenty of fresh fruit (which I was pleasantly surprised by). Service was pleasant, if a bit rushed. It's just like Golden Corral, really - you serve yourself, the wait staff cleans up the plates and refills drinks - that's it, nothing really more to comment on. The second surprise, unfortunately, came later. I'm not sure if this place caused it, but my husband was EXTREMELY sick hours later with a bad stomachache and nausea. I wasn't sick, but I didn't feel too hot. Admittedly, he stuffed himself (and on more "unhealthy" type things), so it might be his fault. :p I'd probably try it again, though I think my husband would probably pass on it. I have never been a fan of all you can eat restaurants. I had an enjoyable lunch at the Parkville location, which offered octopus and squid, so I agreed to travel to this location for lunch today. They had odd offerings for an allegedly Chinese restaurant, and their Chinese food was circa 1970-pepper steak, most exotic option, sesame chicken and rice noodles. The iced unpeeled shrimp were tiny (I must me spoiled, I prefer GIbby's Jumbo shrimp) The soda tasted flat. They served an unpleasing surimi, which is fake crab (often found in salad buffets at random grocery stores.) I love fruit, but this location was highly disappointing. The cherries were stale, the pineapple slices were tasteless, the strawberries were obviously past their prime. They did have a tasty carrot cake, which gives them a single star. read more

Did another big family celebration/birthday combo meal here recently. For 10 bucks a person you cant do better the Hibachi Grill especialy if your footing the bill. The coconut shrimp is de-lish. The deserts were looking a bit this last time but theres something for everyone. The service is great too, they add 10% now to your bill for the servers so no need to tip additional. I have visited this location for the last 3 weeks and those same stalls are "out of order" and the bathroom itself is dirty. However, I was passing through once again and was starving and needed quick food and variety because I didn't know what I wanted.... I found this place to have changed a lot. The food was not as good as I remembered... The sushi was sub par, the Chinese dished tasted odd.... Staple dishes like sea same chicken, beef and broccoli, etc...did not taste appetizing. I actually felt bad because I was trying to taste a few things and find something I liked. Nothing was tasting great so a lot of my portioned food was taken by the server and thrown away. I truly felt bad, but I didn't like anything.... I ended up just eating a few rolls of sushi and left.... No problems with service or the staff. I bounce back and forth between 2 and 3 stars depending on the experience I have at this location. I prefer to visit the Parkville location off of Perring Parkway. This location has a weird dessert selection and the hibachi section never has snow peas, ever. Which makes me sad. Pay when you arrive, as apposed to getting a check at the end. I believe this has a lot to do with the clientele in the area. Probably quite a few walk outs. This is ok, I can live with that. You'll come here if you can't decide what you want for dinner, but you're pretty sure you want Chinese, but maybe American, but mostly Chinese, with a little sub par sushi to boot. And you only have $10, and you're really hungry. Yep, this is where you find yourself. Not the worst, certainly not the best, it is buffet food in all of it's splendor.
