A lot of food and only $13.99 for lunch and Dinner $17.99.. walk in around 2pm not really busy you can get in and out quickly

been coming here for some years and the food has always been at least 34 star last was a disaster. I figured Friday food would be fresh, but unfortunately didn't arrive till 8 PM after using the bathroom, which was an absolute disgusting mess. appetite was pretty much ruined the food was all cold and obviously had been sitting hours becoming a mush I guess at the end of the night they bring zero fresh most and the people there do not have a great grasp of the English language and when you try to explain things to them, they only smile say sign here and rush you out of the place also telling you boss here. It was such a bad experience. I can't give them another try if the bathroom bad I imagine what the kitchen looks like. My next letter is to the handover health department simply trying to save a life my suggestion you know come here no more.! read more

The customer service here is absolutely awful. I went there Friday night with my family, the lady didn't even wait for everyone to be seated to ask what we wanted to drink, then she came to take the dirty plates away, I was still chewing on my food, with food left on my plate and she took it; immediately she brought the check and was waiting right there for us to pay, trying to rush us. Then got so upset because I didn't leave a tip that she clearly did not deserve. To her surprise, my husband understood everything she said after we got up to leave. New to the area, ate here and it's a "One and Done" deal. Claims tasted like ammonia, dishes were not hot but lukewarm. The staff as a whole were unfriendly and our waitress wanted a larger tip then the service she gave us. LMAO, no way in hell would we go back to this dump. read more

I was wary of going to a buffet in these early post-covid times but my daughter insisted. Upon entry, you are greeted with a plexiglass topped host stand where you are given plastic gloves. These are to be used when you go to the buffet. I feel like they should have a box on the table so on return trips you use clean gloves. The way they are doing it is more of a show of sanitation than actual sanitation but I guess something is better than nothing, right? The food is alright- it's your typical pan-Asian buffet. This one seemed to have a lot of seafood. Many people seemed to be partaking. My husband grabbed one blue crab (an unusual buffet item) and it smelled off to me, so he didn't eat it. I did enjoy the hibachi bar and was able to get a bunch of veggies and noodles. They seem to limit you to one sauce/flavor agent, which is unfortunate. For the price, it was alright. read more

I found my second favorite Chinese buffet. It could have been my first favorite if the hibachi Grill had been a little bit better. I think most of the problem is the heat is turned down too low. I stood for almost 15 minutes waiting for my food. They have amazing sushi even for the lunch buffet. I sampled a little bit of everything on the buffet bars. The Cheese spinach was very fresh and had an amazing flavor. The grilled pork chops were astonishing also. I very rarely ever get anything other than Asian food at the Chinese restaurant. I was denied service for about 20 minutes because I had my service dog with me. Then they tried to say my service dog isn't allowed because there was no proof (fake sd identification). When I explained that they are fake and they are only allowed to ask me 2 questions about him they refused me service for 20 minutes. And then told me that I couldn't have my service dog up near the buffet with me. My service dog is well trained and non distracting. And is very clean behaved the entire time like a gentleman. When I was getting food I noticed that they did it again for a 2nd person coming in that also had a service dog and they then asked for paperwork from them as well. Also they made us sit sectioned off in the corner away from anyone else and the waitress came by 2 times to tend to us the entire time we where there. This is my grandsons favorite place to eat. There is variety of food to choose from so if you can't find something you like it's your own fault. I love the chicken on a stick, spinach and cheese and the fried rice. The fried rice lacks flavor but a little soy sauce takes care of that. I only take my grandson once a month because we eat way to much. There are many gluten free and vegan choices. Salad and deserts. Me and my friend went to hibachi with his mom and we checked in and my mom's friend had told them how she got a surgery so she can't eat that much . So his mom got a weighted small portion place. As we were eating the lady kept coming to our table and bugging us to leave and bugging my mom's friend to eat when she can't eat that much and as I'm writing this review, she came up to our table and keeps on bugging us to leave over and over again. read more

And towards the end of our meal our waitress was extremely rude demanded a tip for just serving drinks and snatched my card out of my hand before I was done and I wasn't handing it over she reached over and snatched it out of my hand. My family and I ate at Lu Hibachi Buffet Grill because my daughter was hungry for sushi and we did a search for local sushi places while in Hanover. I have been to my fair share of Asian buffets and This one is fairly typical. It has a very nice decor and a wide selection of food including all of the staples you would expect to find. The Hibachi area is nice and has a good selection as well. I am a huge fan of General Tsao's chicken, but wasn't too impressed with it here. It was not terrible, but I have had better. I tend to judge Asian nuggets on their General Chicken, lol. The lunch buffet is a great deal and well worth it. read more

The chef served tuna sushi that was so old, that my teeth could not make the slightest dent in it. I don't eat places that think the customers are so stupid that they will eat garbage. Went back couple of years later, sushi was somewhat better than before, but still old. Stopped going there again because the waitress topped off my drink using a glass of soda from a neighboring table that the customer drank half of what was in the glass. I must say this place is my favourite Chinese buffet restaurant. I have been to many buffet restaurants in Lancaster, York, Philadelphia, Baltimore and a couple more in CA and Lu is the best. Love their fresh seafood and love how they cook their crawfish so flavourful. The fish and stone crabs are also fresh and tasty. However, the crab legs are not that fresh and a little too salty. The meat won't come out as whole. As for the hibachi, I have tried teriyaki sauce and it was not impressive. All the veggie at the hibachi counter doesn't look appealing to me. The chef was soooo cold and sort of rude. Not sure if he speaks English or not as he didn't say anything when I thanked him. Strongly recommend butter pecan ice cream. read more

This is more than just a Chinese buffet restaurant. If you want to specialize your meal then visit the hibachi line. You can also get a nice selection of sushi. The cold bar has a great selection of fruits salads vegetables dressings sauces and the like. There's a very large selection of American foods Chinese traditional foods like General Tso's chicken, beef with broccoli, lo mein, etc. The seafood choices are varied including mussels, shrimp, and large crabs . I especially enjoy the soup selections, particularly the wonton soup. This is a busy restaurant so food is replenished regularly. The wait staff do a great job of clearing the plates. The restrooms are tidy. Access to this restaurant is a little challenging and perhaps better signage and pavement markings would help. read more

OMG This is the BEST Hibachi Buffet I have ever ate in and that's coming from a truck driver. WoW they have a huge selection and perfect seasoned pork chops and that's coming from a Puerto Rican, so good, I had them twice, same with the garlic shrimp and that ice cream is to die for. The fish which every location I been in had no taste but that's not the case here, that fish was delicious, also try some seafood cake which I have no idea what's on it but it was delicious, taste it like crabs I think. Service was amazing and not too mention cute staff members. A bit expensive on Sundays but is worth it, if you are in this area I 100% recommend this place read more

I am a regular customer and I like the dishes. Unfortunately, I have noticed some discrimination in this place. The host assigns the Hispanic people or other ethnic groups to the back of the restaurant. I thought I was imagining it, and I asked the host to give us Place in the main area, he nodded and placed us on a defective table. He checked again the following week and repeated the same behavior. I'm constantly impressed by Hanover's restaurants. They kind of take you by surprise. At least it was at first glance at Lu's. (Their decor is phenomenal) Lets clear something up though. They should remove the Hibachi part from the name and just call it a Chinese restaurant. The Hibachi station is more like a Mongolian BBQ and is tucked away in the back. However the Chinese buffet portion is extensive. Quality of the food? Definitely what you pay for... Around $10 for All you can eat? That'll give you an idea of what to expect. Overall, if I were a hungry, cheap, unaware American, then I would frequent this place like no other. Oh my God!!! That was the absolute BEST buffet I have EVER had!! EVERYTHING was delicious!!! Especially if you love seafood. They had mussels, crayfish, shrimp, crabs, sushi, little neck AND TOP NECK clams!!! I think I had 12 plates of food! I would have paid $50; they charge $15 and change. It had been pre-COVID since I'd been there until yesterday for my son's birthday. All I can say is that will be the last time. Hardly had any food I like on the buffet. I felt like I was in an all you can eat seafood house or Golden Corral. I wanted Chinese food, not pizza, female blue crabs or whitefish. For the price I could have gotten more at Olive Garden. I have been patronizing this buffet since they opened. Never have had a bad experience with foodborne illness or food poisoning, which is a big plus. There are many items on the buffet line that are go-to's for me that I really enjoy and I look forward to my visits. That said, their American choices tend to be lower on the quality scale. Desserts are definitely frozen and outsourced. Ice cream used to be serve yourself but they went to a prepackaged configuration, which is more sanitary. Sushi is definitely not their specialty but if you are lucky and can identify fresher items, there may be a decent option to be found. They sometimes miss the mark on keeping some things warm and keeping up with demand on some of the more popular offerings. For someone new, I would recommend trying the mongolian grill as the raw proteins and veggies they put out are normally very fresh. Try to hit them when they open if you can, to ensure hot food that hasn't been picked through. Staff is always polite and accommodating though most do not speak much English so don't expect a conversation. The atmosphere is pleasant, dark woods and carpet, so it isn't very bright but the layout is such to allow me to forget I am surrounded by people. Some booths could use some reupholstering. Cost is very reasonable for what you get for lunch, but the seafood served at dinner comes at a premium that I am not convinced makes it worth it based on quality. read more

This restaurant advertises " ALL seafood take home $7.25 lb. when we were there and we wanted to pay the extra for some take home, we were told the lobster was $ 20.00 per lb! This is by far my favorite buffet restaurant! Been coming here for years with my family every time I'm in town. Unfortunately, last week I went to eat with my family, the waiter or busser was so rude! I have never expired anything like this. She was basically kicking us out when we still had plates full of food on the table, i understand that restaurants close early sometimes, but it was only 7, they close at 9:30, she was so confusing when we tried to split the bill at the end we just paid the whole bill instead of making it more confusing. When she came back with our money back she insisted we left a tip (anywhere I go I leave a tip), so we left her $5 since she was a great help, mind you it's a buffet she doesn't bring out food or take our orders. She then started counting the money in front of us and under her breath said "only 5 dollars?" Not sure how much she wanted us to leave. I was craving sushi really back, I ordered through door dash. I settled on this place because it was the cheapest. Big mistake! The sushi was falling apart in the container, the rice was horribly dry. They forgot my edamame, and to add insult to injury, they put fish eggs in the avocado salad. No dressing, just fish eggs, avocado, iceberg lettuce, and a couple slices of cucumber. I have ordered avocado salad from probably 10-15 restaurants and I have never had to deal with disgusting fish eggs in my salad. Maybe put a description if you are going to use surprise ingredients. Went in for lunch today and the advertised price for lunch is $9.49 per person, we just got a Valpak envelope in the mail today with that price and when we got the bill it was higher and when we asked the cashier she was VERY rude and said price went up???? I'm sorry but when you advertise a certain price you can't automatically change it whenever it suits you! The cashier had a horrible attitude and we will be reporting this to Valpak and the better business bureau! I was craving sushi and fruit. Stopping by the local grocery stores, I realized it was going to run me more than $20 to get four rolls, seaweed salad and some cut up fruit. So I went to this buffet instead, and enjoyed the same meal for $10, including tax and tip. This is a place I'll come back to on a regular basis. All of the fruit/Sushi were better than supermarket quality at a fraction of the cost. They seem to have a decent selection of hot foods, but none of them looked particularly appealing, with some exceptions.
