This took more than A MONTH to fix!!! AVOID!
    Bowen D.

Don't be fooled by the rating of this place! Take this from a Yelp Elite! Beware and Avoid at ALL COST!!! I was rear ended on the 401 as I was driving back to Toronto from Waterloo. My car was still drivable but I was towed by a tow truck driver who seemed, at the time, to be an angel sent to help me. I was then towed to, you know it, this scam of a place called "royal auto collision". At first they seem nice and willing to help, but I should have knew from the way they were dressed (track suits and chains) that this place was no good. So I was told to by the worker there that I should trust them over my insurance company because my insurance company are just cheap stakes. IDK what I was thinking at the time but I happened to believe him. Guess when help is offered in a time of need you will take that help. Fast forward to after my car is being fixed. A simple rear bumper and fender dent took them more than a WHOLE MONTH to complete. Talk about slow work times. I feel like they just wanted their partner business "XL Rentals" to scam the insurance company of more money. So I picked up my car FINALLY after a MONTH of driving a crappy rental and upon returning my rental car I was told that there is a crack in the front bumper. THE GUY DIDNT EVEN BENT DOWN, HOW THE HELL DID HE SEE THE CRACK AT THE FREAKIN BOTTOM OF THE CAR?! PLUS I WAS NOT SHOWN THE BOTTOM OF THE BUMPER WHEN PICKING UP!!! So now the rental guy is trying to scam me of money. He asks his partner shop "royal auto collision" to write him a quote of the cracked front bumper. And when the quote came out to be $1450 the rental guy said "why is it so cheap" !!!!!!!!!!! ARE YOU KIDDING ME!!!!!!! THESE GUYS ARE PURE SCAMS! Then they charged that money to my credit card without even giving me a heads up. This place is just full of CRAP. When I finally get back into my car thats been cleaned by this body shop I find all my coins that was in my car gone. Removed from the car! (I never keep coins in my wallet) How cheap does a place have to be to even steal from their customer's car. -BEWARE-

My G70 got rear-ended at an intersection during a rain storm, and I was immediately concerned about finding a shop that could match the limited edition matte paint on my barely 1 year old car. Royal Auto Collision exceeded my expectations. While I waited a while for parts to arrive due to global supply chain issues, Royal Auto staff always responded to my emails and phone calls when I reached out to ask for status reports. My car was returned to me fully detailed and looked even better than when I picked it up from the Dealership! The whole process was straightforward and worry-free. You can trust your car to Royal Auto. Thanks again!

On September 1st I was rear ended on the highway while in Oakville on my way to work. I ended up deciding to take my car to Royal Auto instead of the preferred place my insurance company recommended. Being that is was a long weekend I get that my car probably wouldn't be looked at right away. I get that. I also get that between my insurance sending an appraiser and the entire process that it was going to take a while. I ended up getting my car back on September 30th, the last day of the month. While the car looks great, cleaned and seemingly detailed I'm not really not complaining on how long it took. I get it that there's a lot of red tape and that waiting for parts can take a while and I'd rather have the car done right than be a rush job with things not being back the way it was before the accident. There's a saying I sort of live by. I has to do with good, fast and cheap. It goes like this: If it is Good and Cheap, it will not be Fast If it is Good and Fast, it will not be Cheap If it is Fast and Cheap, it will not be Good This place if I had to pick one falls into the first category. I wasn't paying for the repair as it was my insurance taking care of everything. I only found out how much the damage was through my insurance. Basically I had little to no interaction with Royal except for me signing a work order and calling to confirm that my car was in fact ready when I found out it was ready. I didn't find out it was ready the way I'd like but hey it's also on my insurance as well I suppose. It ended up my car rental company had called me to tell me my rental has been ended and that I'd have to bring the car back in less than 4 hours (I was told at about 1pm and the rental agency closed at 5pm). Royal closed at 6pm on Friday. That's kind of short notice seeing as I'd have to make arrangements for a ride to get my car after dropping off the rental. I had to confirm with my insurance why they'd end the rental and they had to check to see if my car was in fact ready or not... miscommunication or lack of but my car was in fact ready for pickup from Royal. I had hoped that Royal called me to keep me updated. It seems they only dealt with my insurance and they hardly communicated with me but they did but not as much as I had hoped. Because of this between Royal and my insurance company that's why I ended up finding out on the day of that my car was ready to pick up and that it had to be that day because my rental wasn't extended. So the good news is that car was ready, looked great and appears to be in full working order void of any original damage that happened from the first day of the month. I did however visit Royal on the Friday after the accident (on the 2nd) to get my garage door opener and in looking for my car on their lot it was easy to see how many cars they actual work on or have the capability of working on at once. This place goes through a lot of repairs understandingly since it's their business. The shop itself looked immaculate and the place seemed very busy and judging by how well my car looked after getting it back they do pay attention to detail. While I would have preferred to not have to business with Royal (not get into an accident). I am satisfied with the work they've done even though it seemed to take about a whole month for turn around it's not because they didn't have enough to do but rather they had to wait for parts as well as for the entire insurance side to approve as well. In the end the work is great. They only use original parts and I received a full guarantee for all work performed. That's important in the end but they could improve their service with adding a little more communication and updates with the customer and not necessarily only or more with the insurance companies seeing as how we the customers chose to take our cars here for repair. In my case I went with them over the preferred recommendation from my insurance company.

Bad experience. Would not recommend and would not trust my vehicle to be serviced there again…read more Brought my car in because of an air bag recall and paid for an oil change plus multi-point inspection package. Returned to picked up my car as soon as they called. They said the car was in good condition and no additional work needed to be done. As soon as I got in my car, I noticed a 30-inch crack across the windshield that wasn't there before. Went back into the dealership immediately to report this and at first, they outright denied it. An hour later and after speaking to two managers, they eventually agreed to pay for half the repair cost only. Regardless of their final decision, I felt that the entire situation should have been handled much better (especially if as they say, this is not an uncommon event). Supporting Details: 1) Despite evidence on the contrary, they said that the large crack was caused by a pre-existing chip in the corner the windshield and that any temperature or pressure change (e.g. from the sun or from the hoist) could have caused to spread. However, their own multi-point inspection just prior gave my windshield a green (satisfactory) condition. If the pre-existing chip was significant enough to cause such a crack from a simple temperature/pressure change, I feel they really should have detected it during this stage if they were doing a proper inspection. 2) Even if they missed the chip, the staff member who drove the car back out to me would have definitely noticed the 30-inch crack, which according to their own inspection, wasn't there before. Instead of notifying me and recommending repairs, they ignored this problem and knowingly handed the car back in worse condition than when I dropped it off. 3) The situation should have been escalated to a manager right right away but the staff member I reported this to instead insisted that I wait for my original service rep (who had currently stepped out of the building). After about 10 minutes of waiting, he returned and abruptly dismissed my concern and outright denied that they had anything to do with the damage. He said something along the lines of "we only did an oil change, we never took it out on the road for a spin or anything." 4) When I persisted, he said that I'd have to speak to the manager. Instead of calling one or taking me to see him, he went back to his work and expected me to somehow know where to find the manager's office on my own (granted it wasn't a big building but it was my first time there and I didn't even know where the bathrooms were at this point). 5) I eventually spoke the owner and to two different managers. They offered a "gesture of good will" to pay for half of the replacement cost (retail price for post-market windshield of $450). I informed them that my regular auto-mechanic 6 minutes away quoted me a price of only $260. They didn't believe me so I provided the name and phone number if they wanted to verify. At this point, they threatened to withdraw their offer completely unless I agreed to get the windshield replaced with them instead of taking my business elsewhere. 6) Lastly, hung prominently on their wall is a big "NOTICE TO CUSTOMERS" sign that informed customers to direct any unresolved complaints to the "Ministry of Consumer & Commercial Relations" at 416-963-0321. This number is no longer in service and said ministry seems to not exist either (closest thing I found was the Ministry of Government and Consumer Services who don't deal with this sort of thing). I have mentioned this concern to Ready Honda staff twice and said that they should probably update their sign or take it down altogether. They didn't seem too concerned and as of this writing a week and a half later, the sign is still there. Are they serious about customer service, or is the sign just for show?
