I managed to do stupid the other day. Came around the corner in my garage and took out my side door and quarter panel-on a cement pole I have navigated around 1000 times before! Unfortunately in a big city when you buy a new car the body doesn't stay in super shape long. Grocery store dings, kids playing ball, and so much more can affect the body. Unfortunately in our case our child lost hold of the rear passenger door in some very high winds and smash, there goes the new car shine. After scratching up my car back in November, I shopped around for estimates. Direct Repair Leaside provided me an estimate that was hundreds of dollars less expensive than local competitors. However, I procrastinated in bringing the car in and didn't do so until April-- by which time the damage had gotten worse. Without me having to ask, Dougei honored the previous estimate, and honestly it would have been totally reasonable if he had increased the price based on the increased damage. I was happily surprised. The work was done precisely within the timeframe he estimated, and there were no hidden costs or unpleasant surprises when I came in to pick up the car. I am not an expert in auto body repair, so I can't speak to the technical quality of the work-- all I know is that all evidence of my poor driving was now gone and my car looked fresh off the lot. Avrom and his team are amazing, simple as! First things first the repair itself: We had quite a large dent and bad damage to our door panel and fender panel. We had numerous estimates and consultations from other repair places, of which some stated that they would have to order in a new door ($$$$$). Avrom made an assessment and did THE MOST AMAZING JOB. Seriously, it looks brand new and we could not be happier. Customer service: Avrom is amazing. He is the kindest, honest non patronizing family man. He is always just at the end of an email or a phone call to discuss. His quote was by far the most honest and explained every part of it to us. Turn around time: Avrom took into consideration our urgency as we use this car every day for work. His turn around time was extremely quick without compromising on quality. Had my car repaired twice at Direct Repair. I've been to 2 other shops for estimates before taking my car here. Dougie showed me major damages on the inside of my car door that the other 2 shops missed altogether. The second repair was due to a hit and run at the airport parking lot. Both times, Dougie explained the repair and the timeline for repair very clearly. He addressed all of my concerns and questions. I knew that he and his crew would take good care of my car. The repair was done on time and done well. The interior of my car looked cleaner than when I dropped it off. My 3-year old Pathfinder's quarter and rear door panels needed fixing. I went to 3 repair shops near my area for quotes. All 3 estimates exceeded $2k and turn-around time of at least 7 days, so I decided to look online and found Direct Repair, which has the most positive reviews. Though its location was not convenient for me, I took a chance and requested an estimate. Dougie was very patient in explaining what needed to be done and most importantly, what were not needed to be done. His estimate was very reasonable, at least $750 cheaper than the lowest of the other 3 estimates I got. And it took only 3 days to finish! To top it all off, they did a really amazing job! My 1997 MB bumper was damaged. Insurance repair shop cannot repair it since they cannot find an OEM bumper. I went to another repair shop recommended by MB and they cannot find OEM bumper. Both repair places said they do not deal with after market parts. I found Direct Repair Leaside and they said they have the skilled people to repair it. Truly they did as proved by the photos. It looks like brand new. They also cleaned my car inside and out. Direct Repair lives up to it namesake. The owner and staff are very courteous. Their repair estimate is lower than insurance independent estimate. The repair time was 5 days, but I got my car back in 4 days. I have a 2016 Range Rover Sport. Previously the hood was replaced by another shop due to ice falling on the hood. Previous body shop did not even use primer and paint started to chip. Took my 2015 Infiniti Q60 for some minor body work after reading some good reviews online. Their quote was considerably less than 2 others and they turned the car around very quickly. The work was excellent (repair and paint). Biggest surprise? They returned the car in immaculately clean condition - inside and out! I'm talking vacuumed carpets/mats, cleaned dash, windexed windows, cleaned leather, etc. They even cleaned inside the door frames and vacuumed the trunk! Unbelievable customer service.
