Waa00w! the tasty magic these two food sorcerers are cooking up is joyful, humbling, and delightful. They have different specials they seem to think up and test out for the week-- this week they were serving up breakfast enchiladas (even though it looked amazing: a puffy crispy square of satiating goodness...and that crispy cheese layer...made me wide eyed), and another yelper noted a breakfast samosa special they were serving... oh mah gawd that sounds awesome!!! Onto the things I did try: --the red curry chicken taco on a flour tortilla: savor the flavor and enjoy at your liesure because every morsel flows wonderfully together especially when you add some of their made from scratch sauces into the mix. the spices smack your palette immediately and sing a beautiful song as they mesh and mash in your mouth. their cilantro sauce is solid, though may personal favorite was their green chili siracha sauce (denver really likes green chilis i've noticed). you bet i also tried their tamarind sauce for a dark and sweet chord. I like the flour tortilla because in general they seem to be lighter than the corn tortilla and doesn't really compete much with what the taco is being filled with, though as you may read later down there, their corn tortillas are also pretty special and will try that for myself next time) --their dairy-free, [besides-the-honey vegan] chai drink: next level goodness; creamy, thick, cold, hints of spices that provided a refreshing pause between the bites of the tasty taco time. (i went back for a second before leaving the market entirely because it's a great stand alone drink, though also has HUGE potential to mix with your hearts desire: dirty chai, meal shakes, a bit o' whisky--- yuuup all good!) -- the vegan kale and chana masala taco on corn tortilla: I got this for my boyf who doesn't do gluten or meat and was something like 4+hours away at the time...the corn tortillas that they make are something special: they hold together really well, are soft yet thick. I of course added a bit of each of their sauces in tiny paper ramekins in the to-go shell which he proceeded to just pour all over, not how i would of done it, but he seemed to be able to pick out his favorite of the lot (the cilantro sauce). I had the last bite of it and boy did it bring about some good memories; the corn tortilla was still soft and warm (and not soggified through at all) held through to the last bite, and the chana masala was a savory delight with great texture and fine flavors. the slaw on the side was awesome to boot. -- the vegan, gluten and dairy free pudding dessert: generally not pudding guy since the idea is just really heavy for me, though their take on it is a lot lighter than it looks or feels. it wasn't too sweet (which is a good thing imho) and it was the perfect sized mini cup to share around. they seem to store really well too. The Roxie's Taco shrine pops up Saturdays at the Cherry Creek farmer's market (8am-1pm) definitely check 'em out. personal recommendation is to check the first bite for the integrity of the food, then hit it with the sauces, because there's definitely some quality character in those red bottles too! read more

Super love this place! We were in Boulder visiting friends for 3 days and came here twice. So yummy. The chana masala was my favorite filling, but husband and kids preferred the chicken. We're a multiple food allergy family and we could all eat here. Only downside is that there's very little indoor seating. read more

I had a chicken taco this past week at the Cherry Creek Farmer's Market. I wouldn't hesitate to say that it was the best taco I've ever had in my entire life. Such an incredible balance of flavors and taste, and the cabbage provided the perfect amount of crunch. I stumbled upon this gem of a restaurant at the Boulder Hometown Fair/Festival. The tacos were incredible. Especially I believe it's the red chicken. I had that and the saag paneer. Even the tortillas were notable. I absolutely love the slaw they put on top! I never would have discovered this at their brick and mortar location as I'm rarely in that area... it I will be now. Oh my GOSH, this place is INCREDIBLE. I saw this new stop at the Cherry Creek farmer's market, so I decided to try out the breakfast samosa. It was so delicious that I got a second one before I drove home! The crispy pastry shell was fluffy and light, and the flavors of the spices mixed with the potatoes and cilantro inside were perfect. As soon as I got home, I opened my computer to write this Yelp review, it was just that good! Honestly, the breakfast samosa is the most delicious thing I've eaten in weeks. WEEKS! Last Saturday at the Cherry Creek farmer's market, luckily they asked us if we wanted to try their vegan chips...which led us to order the chana masala vegan taco and the chicken curry coconut taco. Man o man were these delicious! We ordered them on the flour vegan tortillas. My vegan daughter and I couldn't believe how tasty. Make sure you add their tasty sauces that they have on the side. Also ordered the watermelon mint mojito, which I am going to try to duplicate at home so I can add rum!! The tacos were also very large which is a deal at $5.00. this is my favorite place to eat. I think the red dada chicken tacos are the best buy chana masala is a close second. Everything is made fresh and it tastes delish. The flavors here are always consistent and on point - the fresh slaw on top of the tacos are amazing, just like the chutneys - my fav is cilantro and raita. if you want a light, fresh, meal that's packed with flavor i would recommend roxies! also the owner is super nice and so is the rest of the workers. read more

Indian and Mexican... What else do you need? Was inspired to go because of the saag paneer burrito. While the saag didn't match some of the best I've had, the burrito in it self is definitely worth a visit. No frills place and best for take out, but if you're in Boulder and like the two cuisine's give it a try. You won't be disappointed. read more

Unprofessional and bullshit attempt to follow CDC guidelines. Went there last night for some whack ass unlimited champagne rooftop experience and instead was stuffed in a dark, airless, silent, room while people snuck ahead of us and five different employees told us five different things. Did not see anyone wiping down tables as people got up and the employees had thin bandanas on. Was told by the OWNER that we needed to exit and start at the end of the line after we had already waited and gotten in.... as well as just being overall rude and pinpointing us when there were five other separate parties wondering and asking the same questions. Waited for a full hour and half and never moved, never was spoken to again. The dj who "ran the party" came down and apologized to a group of boys that had been waiting, offering to give them free entry next weekend or free shots if they weren't planning on coming back. Not one person offered us anything or apologized. Furniture, decor, and quality of drinks was shit. Like cheaper than IKEA shit. read more

This place was different. I wish there was more seating. The staff was also not very patient when it came to my kiddo. He touched the tapestry on the wall and the guy freaked out and said DONT TOUCH THAT to my 2 year old. He told me it was very sacred to his boss. I think it's cool to have that stuff but maybe she you shouldn't have sacred things in a restaurant and one that is so small! It just gave off the wrong first impression. I admit that the concept is interesting and very appealing. Especially given the location of the restaurant adjacent to fraternity housing and in the heart of a college town. The food however leaves a lot to be desired. Where to start- it is difficult to imagine the food was actually made by someone with Indian roots or a trained chef in Indian cuisine. The rice - the most basic staple in Indian cuisine was undercooked. The beans - tastes nothing Indian and the rice and beans together all but resemble a low quality "arroz con gandules." The curries...yes I tried all three- have no depth of flavor and fall completely flat. Poor dining experience. Would not recommend if you've ever tasted authentic Indian cuisine. read more

Roxies is unique in that it's tasty Indian food in taco form (they now also come as rice bowls or burritos). The food is flavorful and delicious. I've been there multiple times and it's always consistently great. The staff are also friendly and will offer pairing suggestions if you are new to these flavor combos. Tip: They have 2 taco filling options (3 total) that are vegetarian. I recommend getting one of each because they are equally good. read more
