This was a takeout order: The Lamb Burger: - Over the phone I asked my burger to be cooked med-rare and I was told that bylaw they had to cook it between med-well and well done. I said ok....let's go with med-well then...... Let's just say....the Lamb patty was so overcooked that if you take well-done and you cook it 3 more rounds and then another 3 rounds, and then place it on the bbq for a half hour....you get the patty I got last night. Everything that makes a ground lamb patty delicious....the flavour, the aroma, the juices and texture was completely scorched. The Feta Cheese I paid extra for was more like a watered down fluid pretending to be feta rather than feta chunks, I think I had 1/2 of 1/2 a slice of red onion and that was pretty much it. It was well...an extremely sun-burned, anorexic on the brink of death Lamb Burger begging to be put out of its misery. So, I wouldn't get that one if I were you...... Fries were good though. The Canadian Burger: - The Beef Patty also really really dry and overcooked. You know for most of my life I've had burgers med-rare with the centre pink, and I'm still here. You'd be surprised when you cook red meat the right away how much incredible flavours come to life with texture that melts in your mouth getting irresistible taste, and on the opposite side of that coin when you overcook it you kill all the flavour and texture and just end up with something resembling an old boot. I confess, I rarely dine on Granville. Only drinks. This was a rare occasion as I had a VIP package for my concert next door and had to camp out/rest between meet and show. I had such a fun and relaxing time with my crew and my server was such a sweetheart. Clean booths, clean washroom, cold drinks, weak coffee. My salad was 90's for sure, with the amount to ranch and cut of the veggies. No complaints. I loved the 90's. Rest of my camp had burgers and they said it was hot and standard. 5 stars bc wonderful staff, clean environment, solid food and their prices are competitive. read more

Great burger location in the heart of Entertainment District. Burgers are still under $20 and we are in Downtown! Friends had the mini Yorkies and there were about 8 of them loaded with shaved roast beef. The beef was tender and every bite was tasty. I walked up and down Granville Street looking for an interesting place to have a beer or two and some dinner. I chose Roxy Burger. The bartender, Jack, was friendly and efficient. I enjoyed two Okanagan Spring 1516 drafts, so good. I ordered a side garden salad with blue cheese and the Cajun Chicken Wrap. I must admit I'm sort of a chicken wrap nut and this was perhaps the best one I've ever eaten. It wasn't especially large but it was so delicious. It was a great end to a great day of travel and getting to see a very rare bird, Taiga Flycatcher (1st time ever in Canada). read more

Terrible service in every sense. Ordered food. 45 minutes later, no one had checked on us or our food. That is truly all you'd need to know. Just absolutely "we could give a s#*t about your patronage" attitude from both waitresses. The little chubby one took 2 unfinished drinks off of our table while I wa in the bathroom, saying they were empty when that was absolutely not the case. High as a kite waitress was, "Uhh, so like, I guess they lost your order or something, I don't know. Sorry about that." No compensation for our time was offered or anything, just sort of this half-arsed, shrugged-shoulder apology. The bun was like cardboard and the meat had little flavour, the tzatziki didn't do anything to help matters. I have tried a lamb burger (at Moxies ) with feta & tzatziki a foccacia bun -that was so tasty and I guess I was hoping it would be similar. The side salad was basically greens in a bowl. Nothing more. My gf's quasedia looked nasty, but she never complained - then again she was on her phone so I never asked. For late night eats on Granville, this is where I go. For real food with real service the staff here are great. I typically get the Canadian burger, monster wings, poutine, chips and salsa. The staff here are awesome and so is the service. Shout out to Lili, Taryn, Marge, Chad, Jack, Amber, Holly, Shayla and Jarad. I always end up running into my friends from industry here and we always have a good time after everywhere closes as the Roxy Burger closes at 4am every night. There is nothing like coming out of the club and pub and then hitting here for food afterwards. They have monster wing specials for $4 on Wednesday and mini sliders for $2 on Monday. Beer specials everyday. Take note that they stop serving alcohol at 2am every night although food, soft drinks and water keep going to 4. The staff is nice enough to not kick you out if you're not done your food at 4am but you do have to leave at some point so they can get home. I'm glad the Roxy Burger is here and open late every night. If you're looking for late night eats and a place to hang out after the bars and clubs close at 3am come here for fast friendly service. read more

I went there on a Friday night at around 11PM. It was pretty packed - we managed to snag one of the last tables available. I ordered their Fish and Chips. I love Fish and Chips and have had it at various locations, but this one was the worst I've ever had. Neither the fries nor fish had any flavour. Even ketchup and tartar sauce didn't help. I only ended up eating 1 of the 3 pieces of fish. I would give a 2-Star if solely based on the tasteless food but everything else about the place was pretty good and judging by how packed it was I am willing to give them the benefit of the doubt that maybe only my dish turned out bad and that this isn't a usual occurence for them. read more

I went in today since I was craving a Caesar salad and they're close by. They had a daily special BLTA (bacon, lettuce, tomato, avocado) on toasted sourdough with rosemary mayo. I really wish they'd put that on their regular menu, because that sandwich was absolutely delicious. Four stars instead of five because the menus (while nice and clean, ty server) were also partially illegible under the laminate because of tearing through the words, which is partly why I went with the daily special (and I'm glad I did). Delicious food, friendly service, and the place was very clean. Part of that -star is also because I love that you guys are pushing for sanitizing and writing down people that are there for keeping track in case of outbreaks, but I wish you guys would change sanitizers. That type smells so strongly of tequila, I almost turned around and walked out because it turned my stomach. Sport bars. For tourist a brilliant place to eat and enjoy the likes as American Football on those big ass televisions. Another plus is that the service and other people are most of the times very down to earth and relaxed. Roxy Burgers is not an exception to those rules. We were shopping in Vancouver and came by Roxy Burgers by chance. It was around 2.30 and the place was not crowded at all. On the television there was a barnburner NFL Superbowl 2014 rematch. Our server was nice but had a little more interest in the game than in us. Which was no problem. The delivery of the drinks, refills and the food did not suffer. Much. The food was very good. My favorite guilty pleasure when abroad is the pulled pork sandwich. Theirs was a very special one. At first look not that appetizing. To be honest it resembled a turd gone wrong. But boy the taste. Pulled pork like I never had pulled pork. Spicy, sweet, complex in one word delicious. Where Vancouver's drunks meet for a late nite snack. I have always ordered the same thing. A Roxy Burger, fries, and a order of onion rings. I have enjoyed every Roxy Burger I've ever eaten. They are a big messy burger and hit that special spot that starts to clear your head after a night of too many beers. The ambiance is very dineresque. They have TVs. They have a bar. It works. The service can be spotty. At times, it is blazing fast. At others, it can be difficult to get someone to acknowledge that you are there. It's one of the mainstays that I used to go to with my ex, and I do still frequent it from time to time because of a number of reasons: their specials are great, they're open late, and they do what they do well really well. Nevertheless, when I come here and dip into a couple of drinks, I can't help but feel nostalgia pulling on my heart strings. This review has been a long time coming, so here it is! Food 4/5 -- Like I said, they do what they do well, really well. Their burgers are spot on. Love the lamb burger and taco burger. Keep meaning to try the Aussie burger, but just waiting till I'm hungry enough! Their food specials are also really good. One of the best burger spots in town, tapas selection is decent, but leaves a lot to be desired. I rarely ever dip into. Service 4/5 -- Great service, but the service staff work huge sections so there's often a long wait on food or drinks. It's not terrible, but I imagine it's hard to manage when they have one table that's more demanding than all the rest. I get it though; on off nights they have peak hours where everyone comes in, so it's hard to justify having an extra person in just for that rush. Cleanliness 4/5 -- Does get a little messy here but as mentioned earlier they have great service staff, so I feel like it gets mitigated a bit. But again, this is a result of having just a couple people working huge sections. Just to give a couple examples; tables and menus can sometimes be sticky, and floors have noticeable debris; however I do want to reiterate that given the circumstances they do a heck of a job of mitigating that. Atmosphere 4/5. Love the brick walls. The bar and booth seating in the front is awesome. Not a huge fan of the bar seating in the back. Also not a fan of the carpeted floors. As an EDM music, I also have to add that I like the non-EDM music selection. Reminds me of the music I listened to in high school. The bathroom has a long corridor leading down to it -- great for burning off calories, and sweating out alcohol. Overall 4/5 -- I want to reiterate that the parts where I made it sound harsh, please remember that each section STILL got 4/5, which is a great rating. Roxy Burger has a decent size menu of burgers and since I haven't tried anything else, I decided on the standard Roxy Burger. It is an 8oz sirlon burger with pickle, tomato, lettuce, ketchup, mustard and mayo. The burger came with fries which I thought were average. The burger itself was not overseasoned and didn't taste too fatty, - which I liked. The only issue was the dryness. I felt the burger was just a tad bit dry, but eating it with the pickle really helped. I only ate half the bun, a quarter of the fries and of course the whole patty, but I was full. Stopped here with my family before going to the Orpheum for a show. The place was clean and we were seated right away. The menu was impressively diverse. I ordered a hot chicken salad, and the rest of the people at my table ordered a Greek Wrap, the prime rib burger, and a veggie burger. First time at Roxy Burger and was very, very pleased with everything about it :) A friend and I were on our way to see a concert at the Vogue and didn't think we were going to have time to eat before getting there. As it was, we were there with an hour before the concert started and since Roxy Burger is right next door, we thought we'd give it a try. We had no idea if the food was decent or real bad... we just needed something to tide us over! Well, from the moment we walked in, the place felt great! The greeting from the fellow behind the bar was welcoming and friendly. The place itself, is small but there were only a handful of tables taken so we grabbed ourselves a table for two. Megan was our waitress... well, she was everyone's waitress since she was the only one on duty.... but she could handle all the tables with ease. And soooo friendly! One would understand if she was a bit flustered since she was the only server, but she was cool, calm, and personable! Since we had time to actually eat before the concert... I had the Chicken Pot Pie and my friend had the hot Spinach Dip. We both thoroughly enjoyed our meals. The chicken pot pie was probably one of the better ones I've had in a long, long time... and it came with a very fresh garden salad that was crisp and exactly what you would expect from a good garden salad. Hello hello BURGER I love burgers yummy... I ordered their signature burger, I think it's the Roxy's burger or something, with guacamole in it. It was alright. It was big, alright. However I can't really taste the guacamole, and the patty was dry. I ordered the poutine fries on the side, and that was quite good. My friend ordered the fries with cheese, bacon and cream. THAT was delicious. I recommend that instead. The service was alright, nothing too special. The price is decent, probably around $15 for the burger and poutine. Absolute worst experience this past Saturday night. Myself and a few friends wanted to get a table for 4 and was rudely turned down by the bouncer in a one worded answer of "No." when we asked was it because of a waitlist he said in disgust No again. He was abrupt and very rude to dismiss us so bluntly. When I walked away upset my friend went to see what was wrong- and as she walked up to the bouncer he was laughing about the incident that just happened making fun of the whole situation and let the other people in instead. I've heard the food here is pretty decent so I dropped in last week with a few people since we were in the area. I was stuck between ordering the veggie burger, which apparently has a soy patty made special for Roxy Burger, and the mac and cheese. I think its fairly obvious that I went with the mac and cheese. I always do.. plus it was a bit cheaper than the burger and fries. A good deciding factor! The mac and cheese was alright. It had a nice baked crispy topping but the sauce didn't seem to be sticking to the noodles very well. A lot of the noodles around the sides of the dish were naked and slightly dried out from being baked. For the most part I enjoyed it though. I got a slight hint of bell pepper flavour in the topping too. I wouldn't be opposed to coming back, but it probably wouldn't be my first choice. Roxy burger is located near work, so it's a constant stop for lunch time burger cravings. My favorite is always the turkey burger. It's a good substitute for a beef burger and has plenty of flavour and taste. It is piled high with the all the right ingredients and you leave feeling full and satisfied. There are plenty of options for sides as well. I recommend fries over their healthier Caesar or mixed green salads. The latter tend to be soggy or have excessive dressing. One of the best choices on the menu, however, are the chicken wings. They are not wings, but thighs, and they basically taste like awesome. Although the flavour choices are not as diverse as Wings on Granville, the taste and texture far exceeds Wings. The atmosphere is casual and the servers are friendly. It is livelier at night but a nice break from the office during the day. Roxy Burger is one of my top choices for burgers around town. The only downside is that appies, meals, and drinks for two are approximately $60, a bit pricey for just burgers. read more
