a menu for a chicken dinner

Great BBQ and I would recommend anyone who sees the smoke coming from his smokers to come and try it. The wait was a little longer than I'm used to but it was well worth the patience.

I happened to be driving in the area when the craving came for bbq. I yelped the nearest location.. looked at the reviews and decided we needed to stop and give this place a try. So happy we did.. The combo plate was shared between my mother and I ( 2 wings, 2 ribs, 1 link--beef and 3 side orders.. we got mac n cheese, greens and bbq beans and a drink $15.00) then we proceeded to get a hot link sandwich-- chicken link ( i believe this was around $5.00) and an order of bits and things which includes beef tips and lil smokies (i believe this was $12-13 dont quote me on this lol) when i say everything was delicious it most definitely was. Their beans had a hint of chili seasoning with bbq sauce.. and listen the bbq sauce u can taste was home made.. if i didn't live so far id come every weekend.. Ohh let me not forget the amazing peach cobbler ($3.00) im very picky with a dish i can make so well.. but this right here.. the crust the peaches.. omg every bite was full of awesomeness lol.. its located on the corner (literally) so you cannot miss them! I also enjoyed how personable the gentlemen were.. i think i may make the drive again next week (TWO THUMBS UP)

Bbq chicken combo $14 (comes w/a drink as well & bread)

Worth it! Worth it! WORTH IT!…read more True Kagoshima wagyu, A5-grade. If try it, and find you don't like it, then you should be honest with yourself and realize wagyu ain't for you. 24-seats, and they surely fill up during the weekends. The weeknights are more down tempo, and easier to get a seat reserved. The whole experience is the first place to really remind me of Japan, and really stab that dagger of yearning deep into your guts of wanting to go back. And eat. It's the kind of attention and hospitality you get from like, a locals spot in Kyoto. If you can handle all the rich fatty goodness, and you crave calories, the premium menu at $90 should do the job. I opted for the $10 supplement of A5 wagyu sushi... and honestly, as the last course before dessert, I was all wagyu'd out. Like my gallbladder didn't have any bile to spare to deal with the absolute rich, fatty goodness. But $10 for 2 pieces of wagyu sushi is an EXCELLENT deal, considering most other sushi spots will easily charge you $20+++ for the luxury. One of the surprises for me was how good their house curry is. I will tell you, I am not a curry person. I grew up on Thai curry. I've had Indian curry. British Indian curry. Japanese curry from all over the place, especially multiple times from Curry House will unfortunately perished during the disease lockdown of 2020. Never cared for it, simply tolerated it curry because family cooked it or a friend wanted it. But curry here is the first where I could go back for 2nds or 3rds, or even go out of my way to drive back here and get more. It's so uniquely harmonious and tantalizing in all the right ways. But every course, every cut of beef, even the USDA Prime stuff, worked for me. And the side of condiments is just... it should be the standard everywhere. Salt. Yuzu Kosho. Grated garlic. Red pepper powder. Season to your personal taste, to already lush, melt-in-your-mouth luscious beef. I'm at the place in my life where I do not need to eat "all that I can." That stage where in life where you mature, and where what you require... "your tastes are simple. Only the BEST." I've had different wagyu beef courses that easily cost $200+, in places in LA which we will not whisper about in hushed tones. Wagyu Butcher bests those places, a bitchsmacks the hot diarrhea shit out of the competition in preparation, quality, service, and value. I'd easily be a regular here, even when it's over an hour's drive across multiple freeways, far and away from me.

I had seen some social media posts raving about this place & with this being located in the South Bay area, I knew it was going to be worth the drive. There are 3 different courses to choose from, Tenma Omakase $50 - appetizers of pickled vegetables, beef soup, 5 varieties of wagyu meat, curry rice, today's dessert. Butcher Omakase $75 - appetizers of pickled vegetables, beef soup, US Wagyu sashimi, 7 varieties of meat, curry rice, today's dessert. Wagyu Omakase $90 - appetizers of pickled vegetables, beef soup, US Wagyu sashimi, 7 varieties of meat, curry rice, Chef's special dessert. You have a choice of beef curry or upgrading for A5 Wagyu sushi $10 & adding uni for another $10. I got the Butcher Omakase with the A5 Wagyu sushi topped with uni. They bring the big slab of wagyu sushi & literally torch it to give it an added flavor. It was definitely good but I would actually skip the uni as the creamy flavor of uni & the fatty wagyu flavor cancel each other out. It diminishes the greatness of 2 amazing ingredients. The beef soup is a consommé made from the wagyu bones/trimmings & it has such a richness, the bold umami flavor really leaves you speechless. The pickled vegetables and kimchi were okay. I would have preferred spinach goma-ae or something like a small cucumber & wakame salad. Each course of meat was slightly different. There were 3 different cuts of tongue, all good but the cut from the underside of the tongue was a bit chewy. As each course came, the meat quality & flavor kept getting better! All of us agreed that the best & the star of the Omakase is/was the Wagyu Sukiyaki!! The sweet smell of the sukiyaki sauce drizzled over the wagyu as it sizzled on the grill was drool-worthy. Once it was quickly cooked, the wagyu is dipped into the whipped sukiyaki cream! It looked so weird but it was absolutely heavenly!! You can order small bowl of ramen or extra cuts of different wagyu but the Sukiyaki Wagyu is not available a la carte or as an extra serving. Darn it! The dessert was a Hoji-cha purin (pudding or more like flan). I've never had Hoji-cha purin & it was actually as good if not better than matcha to end the scrumptious meal. The service there was top notch, each dish was explained well and they cooked the meat quickly with attention to detail, good presentation. Our waitress even came out from behind the counter to take pictures of our extended family by the wall sign next to the front door! Wagyu Butcher has a wrap around rectangular counter seating only so it is a bit tricky to seat in a big group. We had 6 of us and it was hard to have a conversation with everyone. The only problem I saw with this seating arrangement was how they accommodate guests in wheelchairs or special mobility devices. Maybe they have a table in the back corner that I didn't see from where I sat. We all want to go back again for the next special occasion dinner! It was worth every minute of the drove down & more!!

My date and I were craving some long overdue Korean BBQ and we were in the perfect area to grab…read moresome. We gave this place a try because we were excited to see they have Rice Wine here (since most of the mainstream KBBQ places didn't have this), and we were satisfied beyond our expectations. Parking: A very small dim lot next to the restaurant. Right below the small sign that sits above it. Ambience: We came on a Saturday night (7:00pm) expecting busy wait times but we called in and there was no wait! We were immediately seated. It's a very small restaurant, the booths are big enough to fit a family but bigger parties may need to call in to see if space is available. The vibes are especially different from most bigger and popular places but this qualifies as a hidden gem for sure. Service: Quick and nice! Second time coming to a place where they cook it for you at some points and serve you. They check on you often enough and were quick to see you get all that you ordered. Food: Absolutely nothing I've never had before, we knew we wanted brisket and pork belly, we skipped out on the combos + intestine sections bc of this. Luckily our two meat combo qualified us to also receive a soybean paste soup, steamed egg, and corn cheese for free! We additionally added rice paper to our order for a small charge. The menu is vast and I would like to come back here to try their different meats. I have never had a more flavorful brisket in my KBBQ experience before and the pork belly was thick enough and had that chewiness texture that made it so enjoyable. Employee was nice enough to inform us that the soup + steamed egg are carefully cooked with real flavorful ingredients, so expect high-quality. We didn't go into this place expecting AYCE since we believe places that offer à la carte specializes in quality, so please come with the same idea if you choose to go here! Regardless, our small bodies were filled by how much food we received! Overall, I gave this place a chance despite its smaller reviews, smaller atmosphere, and a generally smaller presence this had in comparison to its competitors. I would suggest you do the same too!

Banchan - 4/5, salad, kimchi jeon, onions, soy bean sprouts, mac salad, cucumber kimchi, spicy fried chicken Premium beef brisket - 5/5, ACTUALLY very high quality and had a good amount of fattiness Intestines combo (only large intestines) - 5/5, includes a deonjang soup, steamed egg, and corn cheese. You can choose up to 3 intestines for the combo, but I only wanted daechang. I loved how they prepared it and it was also cooked with onions, garlic, potato, and rice cakes!!! Cons: - Mosquitos in the restaurant - I'm surprised you need to order kimchi and it wasn't part of the banchan
