Had a great time here. I did have to wait to get in. Oregon and Indiana were playing in the Peach Bowl. Place was packed. Got seated and we had April. She was slammed, but she was so attentive and awesome. Got everything perfect. Food was awesome for 3 of us, the fourth guy had fajitas and he did not like it. The brisket stuffed jalapeños were incredible. Fried pickles were the best I've ever had. Crispy, not soggy and the pickle was not overpowering. Wonderful atmosphere. TLDR...I came, I was ignored, I left. The longer version. Saw this place when it opened, noticed it was in a cursed location, but the parking lot was packed. Looked it up online and figured I would check it out next time I was around the area. Then forgot about it. Someone talking up the place few weeks ago reminded me of it. Weekend night recently, went in around 10 PM. It was busy, but not packed, grabbed a seat at the bar, and waited, waited, the three bartenders working all saw me, but nothing. After five minutes or so waiting time, I was giving it another few minutes before I outright bailed when one came over and I ordered a beer and a menu to look at. Checked the menu out, then another ten minutes maybe went by and I was able to flag the same one down and asked to order some food when I could. Got a nod, and an "okay". Then another ten minutes or so, I finally flagged down one of the other bartenders, gave her my tab check, some cash, asked to be tabbed out and get my change. Got my change, minus the almost a dollar in coin change. Finished my beer, let them have the coin change they never returned, as tip, and walked out the door, where a cop was talking to some guy who seemed upset at something that had happened while he was here. Drove five minutes back to a place I've been to a couple of times and within seconds of sitting down at that bar, I had a beer, and a minute later, ordered my food. Like I said, the place was busy but not packed. Most of the three bartenders at any given time were chatting up other customers, or disappearing somewhere for several minutes or so. They had plenty of downtime to take a food order. I saw other people come in after me, who had ordered and gotten food already. It's a shame, because the place is pretty nice inside, long double sided bar, lots of beer on tap. The scenery inside was very pleasant, so at least this place lives up to that part of their game/name. If the food had been good, and the service even half assed I probably would go here occasionally. But I'll never know because I won't go back. We have been in a few times and today was the worst service we have ever experienced. We sat at the bar and after we ordered our drinks not a single one of the 3 bartenders could be bothered to check on us or take our lunch order. It took over 10 minutes for us to get a to go box and to close out our tab because the bartenders were too busy talking to the four men at the end of the bar. Very disappointing. When I got here it was a on Thursday night. As always this place is usually packed and really busy. Sometimes it makes me think of being in New York because there's a lot of conversations and with it being a sports bar there's always a game going on. My server during this visit was Ava. Ava was very nice and attentive throughout my dining experience. I decided to order the pretzels and the ribs with loaded mashed potatoes and crinkle fries. The pretzels were so good. They were easy to cut and they felt like they just came out of the oven fresh when i got them. One bite of the pretzels and I was hooked. Though I do like onion rings, the pretzels were a favorite that I'll probably order again.With the ribs, I was so tempted to order a full rack but I'm glad I didn't. They were so good I just couldn't put them down. With the delicious loaded mashed potatoes it filled me up quick. Did I say already that my waitress was awesome? Ava, my waitress had so much knowledge about the history of the company and was so friendly to talk to. She had all good things to say about the company which was really nice. A group of friends and I visited from out of state. We came in on a Sunday to watch football. We got sat at a table for 6 with a chair in the side, in the corner, with an uncomfortable view to the tvs. We ordered drinks, which took about 20 minutes to get... and one of our friends didn't even get their drink at all. Nobody came to check on us to see if we even wanted to order food. We told a runner about our friend's missing drink and still nothing happened. Huge mistake cause we were ready to spend hours here drinking, eating and watching the game. So we asked for our tab. And they still had our friend's missing drink in the tab. SMH. I need to come back to try the Brisket & Cheese Stuffed Fried Pickles and Burnt Ends Jalapenos in particular. This stop, I settled for the Ranch Hand - Burnt Ends tossed with BBQ Sauce, topped with an Onion Ring and a few Pickle Slices on a Toasted Bun. (I might suggest a little Red Onion as the Onion Ring didn't add much.) served with Crinkle-Cut Fries that were quite tasty. Not a lot of smokiness to the Burnt Ends, but tender and good flavor. This place is horrible! Went here with my friend who has a service dog, we have been here multiple times but today it was an issue. The manager asked to see the paper work for the dog which is illegal, she was wearing her vest and it was very obvious that she was a service animal. The management was super rude and unprofessional. No hot girl is worth the way they treated us, I was wearing a bucks wild tee shirt & the manager asks me super rudely is I worked there. I do not work there I just have the tee shirt. So this is my 4th time at this establishment and I have a service dog. This dog has been here 3 times and never had an issue. We were met with hostility from management regarding my service dog and had the audacity to ask for my paperwork. HIPPA laws protect us from such violations. So I still showed him my paperwork. Then when we found a spot away from people he then baraded us saying we HAD to sit on the patio and couldn't bypass the hostess line. Which no one is standing in. Rowdy Cowboy is a great sports bar that raises the standard for what other breastaurants should strive to become through it's expansive menu of food and drinks, friendly and helpful staff, and overall welcoming atmosphere for people wanting to grab a bite to eat and hang out. I first visited the Grapevine location back in August while on vacation and then I revisited the place a couple more times in October while on another trip. For my 2 week winter holiday, I mostly visited twice a day for lunch and dinner to try out more of the menu and see how their rotating staff holds up. When comparing these experiences to the ones I had at 10+ other similar sports bar locations around the Austin and DFW areas (consisting of Twin Peaks, Hooters, Wild Pitch, Tilted Kilt, Tight Ends), Rowdy Cowboy comes out on top for me. Rowdy Cowboy has similar menu options to the other sports bar like wings, burgers, appetizers, and some fancier entree options, but the variety and quality felt better for my palette. After trying many items on the menu from burgers to steak to dessert, I found that they were all great and none I encountered were a "try once and never again." In general, the portions and quality for the price were pretty good, coming out to be about $20-30 for a filling meal, fountain drink (no alcohol for me), and dessert. My favorites would probably be the smashed double burger with fries, the ribeye with baked potato lunch special, and the butter cake with ice cream. The service was quite good and pretty consistent despite the ups and downs of each of their many rotating staff members and overall, it was much better than most of my visits to other breastaurants. The hosts were readily available to seat guests and willing to help find a good table even when the place was busy. The servers mainly take your order and bring drinks and refills, while the food runners from the kitchen bring the food pretty much as soon as it's done so the food is hot and fresh. The bouncers at night were friendly and willing to have chats with everyone. I was lucky enough to also interact with the owner of the establishment and he was welcoming and fun to talk to, even after I badgered a bit for his autograph on my Rowdy Cowboy Calendar. I noticed some servers were working diligently and proactively assisting guests with refills and drinks while also being open to conversation, and that was fantastic to see. Everyone was dressed well for each day's theme and for those who get the reference, it was like gazing upon top tier waifus who were brought to real life. Some reviews mentioned that the servers sometimes pay more attention to certain tables or regulars and kinda just chat while other customers were still waiting for service and I could see some of that, but it didn't really bother me much since I wasn't in a hurry or there to strike up conversations with the servers. Although I visited the place quite a few times, I rarely had the same server twice, so mileage may vary on your experience with the servers or bartenders. Rowdy Cowboy has a great aesthetic, with its Western cowboy saloon theme, spicy waifus, and many large TVs broadcasting various sports games. The entrance had a pretty cool display case of what seemed to be glasses of different alcohol drinks. The main room had a big oval bar with drinks on tap and there were many square high tables and chairs throughout. No booths or couches available here. Bathroom was decently clean and could be better, but that likely depends on the type of guests that show up. Having TVs in the bathroom was a nice touch, though, so you could continue to listen to the games if interested. The busboys were really proactive and they actively seem to scope out the place for finished plates or glasses and clean emptied tables quickly. When leaving tables unoccupied, be sure to put your coaster on top of your drink or they might swoop in and clean up by the time you get back. Based on my experiences at the Rowdy Cowboy, I would rate: Food - 4.5 stars Service - 4 stars Ambiance - 4.5 stars Overall, I would round up to 5 stars since Yelp doesn't do halves and because this establishment is relatively new and has a lot more potential to grow and be better than the other larger chain sports bars that seem to have settled for less. I would definitely recommend checking out Rowdy Cowboy if you are in the area and want a place to eat something nice and hang out by yourself or with friends. Busy New Spot! We didn't have to wait long for a Saturday night. Lots of college games:UFC and boxing showing up in the TVs. Tons of TV to choose from! We had the Sombrero , if you love grilled cheese that runs over, this is for you! It had a nice crunch without the burn flavor. Patty was a good size and the crinkle cut fries were seasoned well. Trash can nachos came in an actual aluminum can and dumped onto a plate. Beware of the jalepenos! HOT! Big AX wings were a good size, not a huge. This was maybe my fourth visit to this restaurant. The service was great each time. Tonight was especially good, thanks to Natalie. I had the chili which was very flavorful, along with a house salad. The food was all very reasonably priced, especially the desserts. If you like beignets, get their version which has a croissant texture. You won't be disappointed, especially since they come with chocolate and caramel dipping sauces. IMO, they are far better than classic beignets. There's an abundance of TVs which is to be expected at a sports bar, lots of country music was played, and the atmosphere was great each visit. Ok my friends, for those who follow my reviews, you know my "straight to the point" style. Here l have no other choice, since my experience in this place lasted barely a minute. At a glance the place looks amazing. A kind of bar you will take a date or your meaningful one to. But that's as much a I can say about it. After I transposed the door, I saw a guy at the hostess podium, first thing that caught my attention, a male host (not a hostess). Anyway, I moved on. I asked the host if I can sit at the bar. He agreed but then he saw my "men purse". I carry this ever since the pandemic; inside I just carry my glasses, face masks, tissues, reading glasses, glass cleaners, sanitizer, my cigar smoking parafernalia, 2 or 3 cigars, my wallet, some receipts and spare change. The host asked me if he can take a look inside, I asked if that was necessary. He responded it was absolutely necessary. Ok my dear friends, here is the problem with this situation. Coming from a family who used to run restaurants, bars, clubs, etc, I learned something very useful, "when you have to start checking people's belongings, you are already attracting the wrong crowd.
