NO STARS!!! Very Bad Experience, staff is rude, unprofessional and inexperienced how to treat a Customer. Liz the Owner and staff try to downplay a very bad day of Grooming on my dog. My dog went in looking like a Show Dog and came out with a full Puppy Cut when specifics on a 1/4 inch trim verbally with the staff and in written communication. Place is dirty and staff rude. I see they have been reported to the Better Business Bureau also and that other customers have had the same horrific experience we had. Groomer never followed customers instructions. I guess a 1/4 inch is 5-7 inches to this groomer..... You wouldn't even recognize my dog from before and after. Everyone who knows my dog asked what happened to him. The dog became the marketing in the public eye for the bad grooming he received. I have to answer the questions from those who ask and for those who ask what kind of dog is this. He doesn't even look like the breed he is. Owner never apologized for her staff making a very bad business decision on my dog this day and it was one excuse after the other. They also, tried to blame it on my dog being matted (NOT MATTED) as the groomer saw how upset I was with what was supposed to be a 1/4 inch trim became a full puppy cut. Imagine your dog with its full long beautiful natural coat of hair completely gone or a Collie's long natural coat taken down almost completely. Seems they all know how to try to cover up not only my dogs bad experience but that of others who also used this facility. She could care a less about me as a customer or my dog. The staff refused to give me back my dogs hair and the profile I filled out on my dog. My dog was a very early appointment so there were no other dogs being groomed befor him. They even tried to say they did not have the hair, lol. Ok where did it go? Ohhh, its in the vacuum. Ok, please open the vacuum and give it back to me.... One Excuse after the other... They were charging me $53.50 for grooming and NO EXTRA FEE FOR A 1/2 HOUR OF DEMATTING. Only till I brought this too there attention (that the dog was not matted) and that they never charged me they had the NERVE to try and add another $15.00 onto the bill way after the fact for dematting. This was a cover up for a very bad business decision. They never called me either as a customer to do a full puppy cut on my dog or even called me to say the dog was matted. My dog was never matted, he gets groomed all the time and brushed by me. Was I born last night..... Also, I took my dog back to his original Groomer who by the way has been grooming him for almost 3 years and she even said the dog was NOT MATTED, because of the cut the Groomer gave the dog. Also, my original dog groomers assistant took her dog to this facility and the dog was isolated from other dogs whereby the dog became so ill, was losing its hair and was sick with diarrhea for a week. At the time of the incident you should have owned up to your mistake instead of making one excuse after the other. If I paid for the poor service that day what would you as an owner and staff learned from this bad business decision. Would you have refunded my money for a service I did not ask for? Please, note also, I have received phone calls, emails and have reported the owners behavior to the local police, not once but twice. This is a civil matter that I hope that one can learn and grow from ones mistakes. May I suggest that your business approach is not working and that you should take a step back and say to yourself, what can I do to make my business better as well as that of Customer Satisfaction so that I can grow and expand my business. All I ask for is for an Apology.................. and for your staff owning up to this incident. Your business approach is not working on how you have decided to handle this situation. Please learn from this incident, as well as that of others who are dissatisfied and had a very bad experience. This individual who is disatisfied with the service on her dog has been in the customer service industry for 37 years, has had several business's and is well liked by her peers in many communities and has always done the right for her clients. She never attacks the client and knows the Customer is Always Right, regardless. You do not keep harassing the customer a month later.......... You ask what is it that I can do for you as an owner to make this right and I am sorry for the service you received on your dog. I have a right as my dogs owner to be upset and voice my opinion to your staff that day and not pay for a service that was not asked for... You don't want me to post the before and after pictures of my dog on here or the emails you have sent me. Please, just learn from this incident as a business owner to make your business a better place for all inlcuding your family. Thanks read more

Having moved back to New Jersey after living in New England for 12 years and after our dog, Zoe, was very much at home at her NH daycare and kennel, we were, at the very least, nervous and anxious about finding another place in which she'd feel at home and comfortable. Zoe is a world-class Omega dog -- slow to warm up and feels most comfortable in her home with her humans. So, off we went to multiple facilities in the area to interview, take tours, and land on a place that we thought might be a match. Rover Ranch became that place. Upon our initial visit, Max immediately welcomed us to take a tour and answered all our questions. The clincher for us was the outside area that he and his staff were building. Zoe LOVES going outside and all the other places we visited had exclusively indoor spaces. Zoe has stayed for both daycare and kenneling with experiencing only a few of her own adjustments at the beginning (she tore up her fleece bed cover) and has now settled in quite nicely. We bought her a raised bed to bring for her to sleep on in her kennel during overnight visits and LOVE the way we can "check in" on the webcam while she's in daycare. One more good review...my husband was running very late driving home from a CT business trip on a stormy day and the clock was ticking toward 7 PM closing time for daycare. He called and was assured that the person who was assigned that night was staying over and would be there to greet him. LOVE that someone stays overnight AND that they accommodated his dicey travel that day. Good news...he got there in time and was able to bring Zoe home. Best doggie daycare and boarding, hands down. We have 2 high-energy, large dogs who just LOVE going to Rover .. and the "ranch hands" truly love them just the same! This is very important to us; knowing that our babies are cared for while we're away. We've been to a few other doggie daycares in the area, for different reasons, and I can honesty say that Rover is the best of the best. The new facility is especially awesome- all the luxury suites/kennels have a view for the pups... open, airy and spotless. We never worry about leaving them there for a few days of boarding, especially since they have someone there overnight to ensure the safety of our pup(s). They also have a large outdoor area for the dogs to run, which is hard to find. Lastly, They have a ROVER CAM (webcam) so you can watch your pups having a blast when you can't be with them. We love having the option to see what's happening during the day, as many other places can leave you wondering what's going on behind closed doors. Here, you can see Max, Ben, Ethan, Sarah and the other Ranchers playing and engaging with the dogs LIVE! The owner Liz is always pleasant and always does her best to accommodate special requests. It makes me so happy to know that we have a safe, clean, fun place to bring our dogs when we need to. Rover is definitely the BEST in the area. read more

I have been taking my doggy to The Ranch for a year and a half now and every day has been great! The other doggy daycares I visited prior to selecting The Ranch didn't even come close to our wonderful experience at The Ranch. I'm very attached to my pup so I do watch the cams all the time. I'm so happy they have the cams which most places don't. It's comforting to know that if you have a question you can call and ask. This total transparency is a comfort to me! The Managers and Ranchers are all amazing here. They care A LOT about all the dogs. They are true dog lovers. I feel that my dog is very safe here and I feel the owner and employees are very trustworthy. I went away for an overnight spa trip with my friends and my sister was going to pick up my doggy but was running really late. I called to let them know and they were very understanding and accommodating. This is a great family owned establishment where you know your dog will be loved, cared for, and have fun with the other. doggies and Ranchers. I'm so happy that I have The Ranch. I have a year old Morkie that is basically attached to my side. She sleeps with me, follows me everywhere and is with me non-stop when I am home and gets anxious without me. When we booked our vacation to Cape May, I was so nervous worrying about how my Peanut was going to be without me for once in her life and at a doggie day/care & boarding facility on top of it. Well, I must say - she did wonderfully and everyone at Rover Ranch made sure she was well taken care! I was so relieved when I watched her on the Pup cam and she was making new playmates and having a great time! That made me relax knowing that she was in such great hands! Everyone there is so accommodating to your dog's needs/issues and they go above and beyond to take care of your dog like it is their own. I would highly recommend Rover Ranch & Spa to anyone that needs doggie daycare and/or overnight boarding. After having Rover Ranch recommended to us by a friend, we used them to board our 7 month old Cavapoo, Teddi Bear, for a week while we were away on vacation. I loved having access to their Rover Cam so we could periodically check in on her, and every time we did, we saw the wonderful staff playing with her and the other dogs. The one time we checked and didn't see her, I assumed she was on her nature hike. When I checked back an hour later I still didn't see her, so I called just to ensure she was okay. As the notice on the rover can states, the dogs maybe sleeping in the small blind spot (under the camera), and she was. They picked up up and brought her to the middle of the room so I could see her. We're going away again in a few weeks and Teddi will be headed back to Rover Ranch and Spa. While she's at home, she doesn't have many opportunities to socialize with other dogs. This is the perfect place for her to be around other dogs and play with them. And trust me, by viewing the camera, they play a lot!!! read more

This is a review for boarding as we have not enrolled our dogs in daily daycare because someone is home at our house during the day. Our dogs have stayed here many times over the past few years wheneverwe go away and it's now the only place we will leave them. They seem to have a very loyal customer base and that always says something about a business. We initially found and chose it because the Ranch was one of the first dog boarders that had open play spaces and open sleeping spaces as opposed to a lot of other boarders that keep our dogs crated all day and night. We also appreciate being able to watch them on the doggie cam all day, running around and socializing with the other dogs. Full transparency is key. We have always found the staff to be friendly, responsive and caring. I love that our dogs come home fully exhausted, meaning they get more socializing and play than they ever would at home. I highly recommend giving them a try. read more

I am extremely vigilant about the quality of their food, their medical needs and their surroundings. Thus, I was delighted years ago to find the warm and caring atmosphere the Ranch has to offer. The facility is spacious and open, the staff is pleasant and accommodating and the service is always reliable. From multiple visits -- each over a span of up to a week -- I know that while my furries miss me, they're in loving hands and, importantly, socializing all day with others under the watchful eyes of the staff. And, whether I'm in or outside the country, I can use the Ranch's webcam to peek in on the action whenever. I gotta tell you...it's a real thrill to see my guys walk into the picture on my laptop. Our 6 month old puppy, Josie, just spent a week at Rover Ranch and Spa is Fairfied, NJ while we were out of the country. We just picked her up and she's been freshly bathed and happy as can be. Everyone at the Ranch could not be nicer or more professional. Being able to watch her on the Doggie Cam was such a treat! I have been bringing my dog to Rover Ranch for the past four years. My dog is always excited and happy when he arrives for day care or boarding. I did my research first and was happy to find a center where dogs get to interact with other dogs. He was a very destructive puppy and doggy day care was the perfect solution. My original reason for bringing my dog to day care was to tire him out. He has settled down but I will continue to bring him to Rover Ranch because it is so obvious that he enjoys going. It has been a great experience for both of us. I am 100% comfortable with & appreciative of the quality of care that Liz and the ranch hands provide for day care or boarding. I have been bringing my 6 year old schnauzer Winston to Rover Ranch for 3 years now, and I am in love. I had checked out a bunch of other facilities in the area, and rover ranch seemed to really strike a chord with me. I don't know whether it was the staff, who seemed knowledgeable, the owner (who I had a long conversation with right off the bat, and was extremely accommodating and very nice), the facility itself which was everything I was looking for (clean, spacious, accessible with a viewing window right in the lobby, air conditioned and heated), the grooming and bathing options, or the general upbeat attitude of the staff, but I definitely give Rover Ranch two thumbs up. We have been bringing our puppy to Rover Ranch for a year and a half now and cannot say enough GREAT things about it! The owner and staff are remarkable the way they love and treat my dog. They treat every dog that walks through the door as lovingly as they would their own. The care and cleanliness of the place is topnotch. There is no where else that you can bring your dog where they separate the small and large dogs PLUS have the benefit of watching them on the video cam. I recently started a new job nearby, and needed a place to keep our one year old dog 1-2x a week. After doing some research I was so happy to find that Rover Ranch had such a good reviews & was so close to my new office. I normally base my view of a groomer/doggy daycare on how my dog reacts to it upon our return, and he absolutely loves coming to Rover Ranch! He is so happy when I drop him off in the morning, and soo sleepy when I take him home (which is great by me!). Having the Rover Cam is great so we can watch him if we want. Our dog has been going to Rover Ranch for a couple of years now, and we couldn't be happier. She is extremely well taken care of, and always excited and happy when we get out of the car. The staff is extremely good natured and conscientious--they even found a small medical issue with my dog that I missed. When I took her to the vet, I told the doctor the issue was discovered by the staff at Rover. She said "Oh yeah, Rover's the best daycare in the area." Our dog Harley absolutely loves Rover Ranch & Spa. Its a bit painful to see how excited he is when we are dropping him off if we go on vacation for a couple of days without him, but it is clear that he absolutely loves spending his time there. The staff is extremely friendly and attentive and the facilities are very clean. The on-site cameras are also a great perk and make it easy for us to check-in on Harley during his extended stays. At the end of boarding we always get an exit bath and Harley comes back soft, fluffy and smelling great. Thanks Rover Ranch and Spa!!! read more

I have been a customer of Rover Ranch and Spa since my dogs were little puppies. I have two rescues. We bring our dogs for daycare, boarding, and grooming, and they are very well socialized as a result. When we pull into the parking lot my dogs get so excited because they know that they are going to the Ranch to play with their friends. Liz and all her staff are friendly, personable, and are willing to go the extra mile to care for my dogs. The facility is very clean, and we couldn't be happier with their services. I prefer this boarding facility to all others in the area because they have cameras. Knowing I can check in and watch my dog at any time gives me great peace of mind. None of us likes to go away and leave our dog but if you have to do it, this is the place to go. Also, my dog is a bit anti social, and I can tell them to take her out of the play area and put her in her private suite. In most cases you would never know if the facility was following your directions, but here you can just check on the camera. Plus I really do trust Max and the staff :) read more
