We had a great experience working with Jenny!! We contacted her right after adopting our puppy, who…read morewas 3 1/2 months at the time. We had 6 sessions with her and we saw concrete results very fast! Our dog had absolutely no training and shortly after working with Jenny we managed to house-train her, teach her various commands and bring her to the park off-leash! We did almost all of the sessions at home and one at the park (which I think was a very effective combination plus the fact that we started very early) and we plan to call her again if our dog ver needs a refresh or develop any problems. What's great about Jenny and her method is that: 1) she does everything with love; she absolutely adores working with dogs and they obviously reciprocate 2) she respects their own learning time and adapts commands to whatever works best for you and your dog 3) she teaches you how to prevent problematic situations with your dog, helping you to understand how to communicate with them and read their signs. Finally, Jenny is very honest about how many sessions she thinks your dog might need depending on your goals and the dog needs without ever pushing for anything if it's not necessary. I recommend her without hesitation; I'm sure your dog will love her as much as our does!

We found out the hard way that he is very "food motivated". So much so that he would steal food off our counters if you left him alone for a second. To add insult to injury, stealing food would make him anxious and then he would pee on our floor. I was skeptical at first. You can't teach an old dog new tricks, as they say. Apparently that old adage isn't always true. Jenny taught our old dog many new tricks. All of which made him a better, more obedient member of our family. I was pleasantly shocked with how far he progressed under her tutelage.

When it became obvious that muzzling, scolding and isolation only escalated his unruly excitability, I reached out to Happy Dog Training (Samantha Cordon) for help. Learning to reward Lucky's good manners with positive reinforcement while introducing calming techniques has created a respectful bond between us and a more pleasant atmosphere for our family and guests. Samantha's patient demeanor and true understanding of canine behavior as well as her useful recommendations -- including links to informative literature, tips/exercises and solution-related products -- were an extremely effective mix for shaping our crazed, 16-month-old, 80-pound housemate into a lovable, work-in-progress. The favorable outcome of Samantha's methods made such an impact on our family that I am planning to follow up with a refresher session in a few months as a means to prevent a backslide with my being consistent, and more optimistically -- demonstrate the success of our polite pup.

We worked on 2-3 commands per session (total of 4 sessions) and Samantha gave us about 2 weeks to work on them before the next lesson which was a good amount of time to really practice with my dog. After each session, she would email us with a recap and detailed instructions of each command. I highly recommend Samantha for your dog training needs!

Our main goals were to address poor manners when people came over (jumping/barking), poor leash manners (pulling/leading the walk/leash aggression for one of them), and all around general behavior training. We wanted, and needed, help to rectify these things before our son became truly mobile. We emailed Pat on a Friday night and he called the next day. We spoke for over an hour and he reassured us that things would be okay. We scheduled a training session for later that week and haven't looked back. He is an incredible teacher; he took the time to learn about our dogs, our family dynamic, and what our hopes were for the training sessions. He began teaching us right away and showed us how to get into the minds of our dogs. We are five sessions in and there has been such a vast improvement already. We are currently working on walking both dogs and pushing the stroller - a dream of mine - that is soon to be a reality. We genuinely look forward to each session and getting to hang with Pat. Our pack was definitely out of whack but Pat has been instrumental in teaching us how to teach our dogs and reframe our thinking. If you are looking for a no BS, honest, caring trainer/behaviorist, and you are willing to trust someone, and put in the time and work, look no further - he is definitely your guy. We cannot recommend him enough.

I could not recommend Emily and her team enough. Words do not capture how wonderful K9 bootcamp is…read more I do not think I can properly articulate how reactive my dog Jabu was. Any squirrel or dog and sometimes human that passed us by would lead to a huge explosion. Multiple times I had neighbors come outside to ask us if everything was okay. It got to the point where I was driving about 20 minutes to abandoned parking lots and other areas where I knew I wouldn't run into anything while walking him. I knew he needed training - and fast. I was comfortable with Emily from our first consultation. It was evident to me that she had deep knowledge of dogs and their psychology, she was professional, and I could tell she loved dogs. She took on the challenge of training Jabu with no hesitation and our lives are so much better for it. He was gone for several months because his reactivity was so bad, but I never felt in the dark about what was happening. Emily always sent me pictures and videos of his progress, and she responded quickly to questions. Once Jabu was trained, it was time to train me. During our lessons together in the handover process, Emily continued to be professional and patient .. even as it took me a while to learn the commands and how to handle Jabu. She shared so many memories and stories of Jabu over the months... something I deeply appreciated, as I missed him so much while he was gone. Every time we went for our lessons, Jabu was excited to see Emily again. He would run to her, tail wagging, ready for some love. I could tell he really felt comfortable with her, trusted her and loved her, and that she loved him and cared for him as though he was her own. Honestly, I think he might even miss being at training school!!! As for his behavior... WOW. What a miracle. I used to turn into a track athlete and run in the opposite direction any time I saw anything that moved. Now, I walk with Jabu at a leisurely speed because he's focused on me and not on hunting other four legged creatures. The dog that used to blow up at dogs 100 feet away can now sit two inches away from another dog... with no reaction. Today, we walked past THREE dogs at once... and nothing. It's incredible honestly and I could not thank Emily enough. I am so grateful to have found Emily and the rest of her team (who were always so kind when I visited the office and seemed to love Jabu too - thanks guys!). Without them, I would still be driving to abandoned parking lots and sheltering Jabu inside as much as possible. Instead, now I'm looking forward to one day taking him on my hikes with me because I know he can handle it. Thank you thank you THANK YOU Emily for training Jabu and allowing us to have a healthy and happy life together. To anyone who is considering working with K9.... Please do it, you will not regret it!!!

Please save yourself the trouble and stay away from this place…read more I wanted to give this place a 5-star review however after paying for more than $1750 and a few months of onboarded training, as well as a few months of in-home follow-up visits, my dog was still not trained. I tried to schedule additional home visits with the trainer but first, he had excuses to not come over and after a few more times he stopped replying to my messages.
