I'm super-nervous about leaving my baby with just anyone. I've heard horror stories about many places and besides, my baby is just plain nervous about going anywhere, let alone the groomers. I called this place to schedule an appointment. I sent over my dog's rabies paperwork by conveniently texting the docs to a phone number. I had forgotten to do this when I scheduled the appointment but they still took it the day of. I pulled up to Pawsitively Purrfect, very easy to get to and located on Morris Ave which is a main street in Union. Parking wasn't bad. I parked on the side street and walked right around the corner. When I brought Kelani up to the door it was locked but Adelis came to open it up and greeted me in such a friendly way. Now I expected for her to just grab my fur baby and go inside but nope, she actually stood outside on the sidewalk and allowed Kelani to sniff her and get used to her. Then once Kelani was comfortable, Adelis reached down and petted her and talked to her. Then she picked up my baby and went inside. I came to pick up Kelani a couple of hours later and she looked so cute. She smelled fresh and had a pink bow in her hair but the best part was that Adelis had trimmed the hair under her chin so meticulously and perfectly. My regular groomer doesn't even do a job that good. I paid $84 on my card and tipped her. She so deserved it. I'm so pleased with this place. I've already scheduled Kelani's appointment for next time. Highly recommend.

We can't thank Christian enough for everything he's done for us and Lola!…read more Lola is an extremely energetic Doberman, but she's also incredibly affectionate and a true Velcro dog. We adopted her from a rescue at almost 6.5 months old after she had spent her first several months without a stable home environment. We were struggling with some of her behaviors and initially tried in home lessons with another trainer. While we had a great experience, we realized Lola needed more consistent structure and training than we could provide while balancing our work schedules. That's when we found Christian at Blunt K9, and we're so glad we did! Before we even scheduled an evaluation, Christian and I exchanged several emails because I had a lot of questions. He was always thorough in his responses, and I never felt pressured or like he was trying to sell us on anything. Throughout Lola's five weeks of training, Christian regularly sent pictures and videos of her progress and kept us updated. Our friends and family followed along on Instagram and have been so impressed with how far she's come! If you're interested in seeing her progress, he has an Instagram Story Highlight dedicated to her training from beginning to end. The transition home was more difficult than we anticipated, so we ended up having our follow-up session much sooner than planned. That session made a huge difference, and things have been going so well ever since! Christian is still quick to respond whenever we have questions or want to share updates on Lola's progress, which we really appreciate. The improvements we've seen in our everyday lives have been incredible. Lola no longer needs a leash in the house, and we don't have to rely on her e-collar nearly as often indoors. Letting her outside used to be stressful because of her high prey drive and our neighbors' dogs, but now we don't even think twice about it! She also settles in her crate overnight (rather than taking over our bed, like she used to) and when we leave the house. Mealtimes are much easier, too, especially with our 2.5 year old eating at his little table. We still need to use a bark collar when she's crated, and we know training is something we'll need to continue working on, especially with outdoor distractions. But at just 10.5 months old, Lola has done a complete 180. Christian gave us the tools and guidance to continue working with her, and the difference in our day to day lives has been huge. We're so grateful for everything he's done for Lola and our family and would absolutely recommend him to anyone looking for help with their dog!

People skills and customer service become the factors in making a practice successful. I did call on Monday, there was no call back as promised by the answer machine. My husband took the day off to bring our dog in for a procedure. When my husband arrived, he was told that the facility can't honor the appointments due to the doctor having car trouble. I called and asked why we couldn't wait for the doctor to arrive, and I was told because he had other patients to see. I said, I am a client too and our dog had a scheduled procedure, my husband took the day off of work, he showed up and was turned away. I never in all my life owning dogs and going to numerous vets, was treated in such a way. Westfield Animal Hospital has changed drastically since it went Corporate. I use to have an excellent relationship with both Dr. Loomis and Dr. Jablecki. The new management is horrible. I was dismissed as a client due to being extremely upset. This would have been my last appointment. We had made the decision prior to this horrible experience. The only reason we were moving forward with the procedure was due to the fact that our dog was a patient since he was rescued and the procedure was important. The new managment at Westfield Animal Hospital doesn't care about losing a 19-year client. they also made a significant mistake on the prior appointment. They were instructed not to give our dog and vaccinations, only to check for heart worm, lymes and tiders. When they brought our dog back to us, they advised that he was given vaccinations, againt our very specific instructions.
