Normally I wouldn't review something like this, however, I figured two instances of poor customer service, spread out a year apart, warrants a review. Robin answers the phone here, and she is consistently rude and unfriendly. Today, I called to schedule an appointment. I kindly provided my info., and stated that I had been there before, and she couldn't care less. I brushed it off. Later in the day, I called to cancel my appointment. I apologized and explained to her that I accidentally confused her shop with another, and she nearly hung up on me. So after moving to Scottsdale, I had to look for a facility to handle maintenance and repairs on my LR3. After some searching, I found Rover N Techs which is only 10 minutes away. Very nice facility, easy to find and was able to quickly drop off my vehicle for a major service. Was completed within the time frame and price that was quoted. The staff here are excellent. Will continue to have Rover N Techs service my LR3 ..... transmission service coming up soon which is a bit $$$ but it usually is for most vehicles. read more

I purchased a used 2000 LR Discovery from a guy in CA, up front he told me I needed a new CPU unit which would eliminate the idiot lights on the dash for emissions, cost of the used unit $450 and with labor I was thinking a $1000. I brought it in to Rover N Techs and automatically they told me the CPU rarely goes out and it should be something else. They were jammed with at least 20 cars in the lot and told me it would be 10 days. I left my car and got a call noting it wasn't the CPU unit, someone replaced 2 sensors backwards and caused the error. Charge $145, which included the scope, fix the sensors and labor. As a business owner myself for over 30 years, the experience and honesty these guys shown was what we call old school. I bought a used Disco 2 and knew it had some issues. I had it towed to Rov-n-techs so that they could diagnose what was wrong. It took some time as they are busy and have only two guys in the shop. I feel Joe was very honest about the issues and fixed them at a good price. I needed a new oil pump and coolant bottle, among other things. He showed me the broken parts so that I could see what was exactly wrong with them. It runs quietly and smoothly. Now it's a few weeks later and it's in the shop again for something else. When one buys a used vehicle it is great to have Joe and Kevin so that they can fix them!!! Be patient with them as they are continually busy and do great work! The only place to take your RR! The service and quality are superb. Scottsdale RR quoted $495 for installation of 2 headlight bulbs I purchased online (only installation). Said 2.5 hours of labor. 25 minutes after bringing my vehicle in to Rover N Tech my job was complete and saved me over $400!. Cannot compete with their prices. Everybody is always willing to talk to you about problems you may be having and helping with solutions. Won't bring my vehicle anywhere else. read more

This place is legit. A friend recommended it to me after The dealership wanted to charge an arm and leg. We got quoted a price 60% less than dealership. They were also a lot more friendly at the desk. We brought our RRS in to have them just give it a once ove after a unplanned off roading adventure/rescue. Surprisingly they didn't charge us at all. Great customer service! Very nice and helpful over the phone with regard to a dead battery on my wife's LR4. Took her in right away, and diagnosed the problem. When they realized that our car was a 2012 and that the battery should be under warranty, we were told that they could not take our money! Instead, they called their contacts at the Scottsdale Land Rover dealer, confirmed our warranty, made an appointment for her to head right over where we had the work done for free. I am aware of the suspicion about the ethics passed around about automobile repair facilities as we are a repair facility and we see it in many of our customers. We had a Range Rover that had a unique problem that we felt needed a specialist. After some research gathered from other repair shops I settled on ROV-N-TECH. The facility is impressive from the reception area where a large wall was covered with about 40 certification certificates to the large shop area which was clean and very organized. I was introduced to Joe, one of the owners, and he immediately wanted to learn about the problem. From his questions, I felt comfortable immediately and left the automobile for repair. They begin to diagnose the problem that day and kept me informed as they progressed. I found their facility to be top-notch and pricing reasonable. Just took my RR to Rover N Tech for the 75k service and general maintenance. I have struggled with finding someone capable other than the "Stealer" to service my Rover. After combing the web I found their name on a Rover website and figured I would check them out. I dropped in to their shop and found they work on everything from old to new. The shop was clean, organized, and very streamlined. Kevin was extremely helpful and offered good information without having any pressure. I decided later that day to call and schedule an appointment. Surprising they had something available the next day so I jumped on it. I dropped it off the night before and received a call first thing the next day. They confirmed what I asked them to do and said they would call back later with a price. I got a call back later in the morning and was shocked at how reasonable the cost and that it would be done by end of day. They also didn't make any mention of any "doom and gloom" items, even though I know the brakes are almost ready to be replaced. I arrived early, as I figured I would have to wait for my truck , like most shops tell you that it will be done but you still end up waiting. I was surprised to see my truck sitting in the parking lot, clean like it arrived and ready to go. Bill was exactly as they said it would be with no surprises. They also told me my vehicle was in great condition and keep doing what I'm doing. What no (4) page report with red and yellow bar graphs showing all the "Items needing attention"???? I don't normally write reviews but these guys deserve it. This is the first time I've ever left a shop not feeling completely violated and confident that my vehicle was in good hands. These guys are good at what they do and they ONLY use OEM Land Rover Parts, no aftermarket, and charge for actual time not a rate generated from a book. This experience has made me a believer that there are good shops still out there and the dealer isn't the only option. If you drive a Rover of any year, as I see so many driving around, drop the Dealer or other "European Shops" and go see Rover N Tech for the service your Rover deserves. read more

Phenomenal. Finally a place that REALLY knows the car and is fair and honest. Dealership wanted $1,700 to replace hoses...Rover Techs advised that wasn't needed. Another shop wanted $1,000+ for EGR valve....Rover Techs found issue with thermostat and cleaned intake manifold and now car is like new...for $200. OUTSTANDING. Yesterday evening our LR was fully packed and we were ready to move out of state. We stopped for one last photo in front of our old home and our LR stalled. It took minutes before we could get it running again and as it was already past 8PM it was clear that our move would need to be delayed. This morning we called Rov-n-Techs (formerly Rover Techs) and they said they would do their best to fit us in. We have been to them a few times but fortunately the LR has run well so we aren't regular customers. As such, we didn't expect much but we were hopeful. We showed up and the guys were in the middle of removing a transmission from another vehicle and weren't sure if they could get a look at it before lunch. We totally understood and were just grateful that they could look at it today. To our surprise they not only squeezed us in, but they also worked on our LR while it was still hot to ensure they got us out of there before noon. I cannot even begin to express my gratitude and my amazement that these guys would bend over backward to help us, knowing full well we are moving and will no longer be customers of theirs (unless we move back of course).
