Some dynamite pizza. I tried three different types: sausage (great!) pepperoni well done (great!) and Pep/giardinera (really great!). WHen ordered well done the crust is incredible, no flop. Very thin. The owner was behind the counter and offered me an extra slice to try based on a large volume I ordered, they are very nice and customer focused. It's a carryout joint, I wish they had a picnic table or two but there isn't much space. I ate the slice of sausage on the hood of my car. Also stocking RC cola (and sugar free version at that) is way cool. If you are on the way into/out of the city, grab some Route 66 pizza. Great people and great pie. read more

I have passed by this spot multiple times over the years so I decided to try it the other day. Well I should have keep on passing by it. The service was average. The female cashier barely spoke and was not engaging. The pizza was the blandest ever. They make Little Caesar get high marks though I'm not a fan. Ordered a 12" and Jalapeño poppers, said it'd take 25 minutes. When 25 minutes came, I stood in the pickup area waiting for my order and they said that it's almost done, they were just waiting on the jalapeño poppers. That's fine, I don't mind having to wait an extra 5 or 10 minutes for food. I could see it was relatively busy. Where I got frustrated in my pickup, Is I waited another 20 minutes on top of the first 25 I already did, waiting for the appetizer after being told It's almost ready. With no communication that it was an extra 20 minutes just that it was "almost done". The thing that really made me want to write the review is that the pizza was handed to me and it's completely cold and so were the jalapeño poppers. If I was waiting on them to be done an extra 20 minutes why would they be completely cold?? I am certain that they just forgot about my order. Even though I was standing there the whole last half of it. Someone did apologize for my waiting, which thank you I appreciate the apology. This place is good for their smash style burger plus the fries are always nice and hot. In particular the Route 66 burger is my favorite plus can't beat the price. Pizza is also sold by the slice which is pretty big. People taking orders are always nice, kind & helpful. read more

The food here is good but definitely not great. Unfortunately, everything they make is not very notable. The pizza and chicken were good, but competition for your dollars for these two products is fierce on the southeast side of the city. The pizza at Pudgy's and Capri (Whiting, IN) is much better. The chicken at Club 81 is not only the best on the southeast side, it's the best in the Chicagoland area. I also ordered the burger which was good, but once again nothing to go out of my way for. The best burger in this vicinity is, hands down, to be had at Three Floyd's Brewery. The burger I was served had jalepenos and sweet red peppers on it?? This is more like an either/or situation but not both. If I want the best burger in Chicago, then I make my way over to Kuma's corner, which is the best burger in probably the whole country! As I waited for my food, I was impressed by the beehive activity in the kitchen. This place is very small, yet they work with the heart of a lion. Does this place have potential? Most definitely yes. The pizza was very good. Sauce was tangy, cheese was good, crust was decent. The crust left a little too be desired but it wasn't a game killer. I would definitely recommend the place over anything in that area. If it wasn't so far I can see them being a place that we hit at least twice a month for our pizza fix. Not worth it. The pizza is too greasy and fries is soggy. And when I walked in the girl with a gray cap wouldn't let me pick up my order without wearing a stupid mask. Went to Walgreens in Whiting to get it and then when I came back and she wasn't wearing a mask which that's BS but it's whatever.
