Older gentleman had me in and out in less than 10 minutes. As I am new to the state, he made it a seamless process. Highly recommend!

Last week I decided to take a trip to California to check out some night markets. It's all part of…read moremy research for a night market project I'm working on in El Paso. On my way back, near Coachella, something pretty scary happened. I encountered a bunch of debris on the road that ended up puncturing my tire, causing my car to spin out. Luckily, it turned out to be just a flat tire, but it cost me around $500 to tow my car to the nearest tire store and get it replaced. But here's the thing: the week before I left, my husband insisted that I have my car checked out because it was making some weird rattling noises. Turns out, the engine mount had collapsed. On top of that, my shocks were shot and needed to be replaced. I'm so grateful that my husband pushed me to get those things fixed because if I had spun out with faulty shocks and a collapsed engine mount, things could have been a lot worse. When I got back to El Paso, the first thing I did was head over to JLN Auto to see Mark, the mechanic. Let me tell you, he's a gem. He took the time to really inspect my car and fix some issues that were causing metal-on-metal rubbing. I can't express how grateful I am to have found an honest mechanic like him. By the way, this is their slow season since most people are recovering from holiday spending. But you know what? It's actually the perfect time to get a maintenance check on your car. The mechanics have more time to really make sure everything is safe and sound. I know a lot of folks tend to drive to Ruidoso during this time, and with all the recent plane incidents, many are feeling hesitant about flying. So, if you're planning a road trip, I highly recommend paying a visit to JLN Auto. They're honest, and their prices are much more affordable compared to dealerships. For example, an oil change that would cost you around $105 at a dealership is only about $65 there. The prices for replacing my transmission mount and shocks were also very reasonable. It's such a relief to know that Mark is honest and took the time to explain everything to me. I can actually feel and see the difference when I drive my car now. Big shoutout to Mark at JLN Auto for the amazing service! I'm even trying to organize a seminar with him to teach people how to do maintenance checks and spot signs of car issues. Living in El Paso, with our dry desert climate, presents some unique challenges for car maintenance. For example, the serpentine belt is more prone to breaking due to the extreme hot and cold weather conditions. Mark also mentioned that during the rainy season, he sees lots of cars that have driven through flooded areas, sucking up water into their exhaust systems and causing damage. So, it's important for all of us, especially those in El Paso and the borderland, to be aware of the driving conditions and hazards we might face and to take proper care of our cars. Stay safe on the road, everyone! -TODOELPASO
