About two hours later we didn't receive the call so we called to see if they were able to get the car up and their response was to " just come pick up the car" and refused the service. The shop is located on Far North Dyer Street and based on its outside look and Address I was suspicious but as soon as I arrived I changed my mind. I was immediately and cordially greeted by Kody a Badass knowledgeable Veteran. The inside if the shop is absolutely awesome, if you are into cars and you intrigued by my review then you must visit. The state and emissions inspection was $18 (Feb 2020) They also do all kinds of different services, they offer military discount and 10% discount with coupon.

The owner is an angry old white man that acts like he could care a less if he treats his customers with respect. The only bright spot is the mechanic Fernando. These guys are pretty reliable and reasonably priced. I had an older Honda Civic they did work on…read moresome time back. They fixed the brakes and did a full tuneup on it. I believe the CV joints also had to be fixed at one point. The car was running better after it was taken to them. It was an older car so eventually I had to have more work done to it. I had to go to different mechanics to fix it from time to time. Hondas can last a lifetime if you take good care of them. My Honda lasted about 20 years. They're pretty low maintenance cars until they get a little bit older. I believe it was around for 105,000 miles. I owned another Honda but it unfortunately got totaled after eight years. Anyway... I didn't deal with the staff directly. A relative helped me out and took the vehicle for me. They dealt with the employees. They said everything ran smoothly with the staff. My main concern was if they could fix my car. They were able to do that...for awhile at least. I would consider taking another vehicle to them. Overall a good experience here. I'm not sure about the exact price. My relative took care of that for me (which I'm grateful for btw).

So, here I am. I googled for a place to do my emissions test, I chose Bagdon because of its location, hours and because it is a local owned business. When it comes to vehicle service I have had way more positive experiences with local business than nation wide franchise. Bagdon Diagnostic Center is the place to come for your emission's test in El Paso's Northeast.

Imagine my "surprise" when I received three different reports of why my vehicle failed and the list of items needing 'fixed' before that station would pass it. That first year was frustrating, especially when my mechanic would disagree with each one and insist no 'fixes' were needed. Then I found Route 66. I've been here a couple of times and Jorge has been fair with each inspection and has throughly explained each issue in question. So much so, that my mechanics agree with him. Jorge is extremely thorough but quick. I have never waited more than 15minutes from the time I pull in until the time I leave. Patrons aren't allowed in the garage, but there is a covered outdoor bench, so dress appropriately for the weather of the day. He does some very basic car maintenance items as well if you'd like, but I've only had my inspections done here. And I'll be back again next year.
