Today we went to Rialto Lube for our car to be inspected and I was expecting to be waiting for awhile. In California to get our smog check done it usually took around an hour, so I was prepared to wait equally as long. As soon as we went in we were greeted by ( I forgot his name) and it quickly took our car. About 7 minutes later he came back in and he said we passed. Yaaaaaayyyy! LOL. Then we paid 18.50 (waaaay lower than our smog checks in California) and we were on our way. Being that we were prepared to wait at least an hour and pay at least 50.00 dollars based on our California experience; it exceeded our expectations. Some of the factors may have been that it was a Wednesday afternoon and most people were at work, but nonetheless we still came out happy and our car is healthy. They charge five extra dollars to remove a "skip plate" they said it costs 25 for oil change but charge extra five to remove a small plate? I was it really five dollars worth of labor? On March 24, 2017 I took my 2003 Nissan Xterra to Rialto. I spoke with Raul Jayme, he advised me that my timing belt was broken and it was a costly repair around 1200. He asked me the year of my car and proceeded to look up its Blue Book value on an app he had on his phone he told me I should probably consider getting a new car because my current one would just nickel-and-dime me and it wasn't worth fixing. He then said he knew of a junkyard that would give me $700 for my troubles. He told me to take my time and consider this option and I could leave my car at his shop, about a week later he wanted to know my decision. I trusted Raul because I used to be his sons Pre-K teacher many years ago and have known him since so I decided to go ahead with the plan to sell my truck to the junkyard or so I thought. He gave me $700 and told me not to worry about the towing. A few days later I went back and asked for my license plates he told me my car was no longer there and he would try to look into it. Well wouldn't you know not even two months later right in front of his shop my own truck that was deemed worthless and unworthy of fixing and fit for the junkyard in his eyes was for sale and it still had my plates !!! I had a friend fake interest in the truck and he told her if she would buy it he would give her a year free maintenance! !! I then see it on Craigslist where it says it's in excellent condition and it's selling for 3900 I confront him on the situation and he points blame on an employee saying that he wanted the car for his wife and so he sold it to him. He then says his employee got nickeled and dimed on fixing the truck but how can we make this situation right? He said he was not a thief and he offered to sell me my truck back in payments and show me receipts on the parts for repairs, but then he said what about my employees labor after they told me that he would fix it on his spare time for his wife. He also offered me services for my current car which cost 3800 compared to the 1200 to repair my truck which I had. No thank you!! When I got my current car he gave me a free oil change and told me to save my money for my kid he certainly did not care about that when I had to beg for rides and scrape up money for a new car! THANKS Raul for the experience I now know a business man will always be a business man and history means nothing! I would expect this kind of treatment on Alameda but not here, I will no longer be referring anyone here goodbye and GODBLESS read more
