I've been here on at least 5 different occasions & on at least 3of them we've overheard the owners yelling at either their cooks or their waitresses. Ive always seen the emplyees working very hard. I will not give my money to people who treat their employees like this. I've talked to at least 5 of my friends and few of them have said the same thing. What a shame because the food is great and the waitresses are great! Never comimg back! read more

I come here a lot & love the food and the service is always great but the last couple of times I've been there I noticed the owner berating her employees. It is unnecessary & uncalled for & very unprofessional. That should be done behind closed doors and not in front of customers. We don't want to hear it. I've always noticed employees working very hard and they've always been pleasant. read more

3.5 I've been to Bedford Coney Island multiple times over…read morethe years. It is a comfortable and clean diner atmosphere located within a strip mall next to an Asian restaurant and near a Little Caesars takeout. Today I was there for brunch and brought along my laptop and lots of work that I'd hoped to get done while there. After ordering a Spinach and Feta Omelette, I asked for the WiFi password and was told they don't have WiFi available for customers. Ok, so much for my work plans. Ugh. My omelette arrived fairly quickly and I also ate it quickly because I had work to do. The omelette was overall delicious. I will say, however, that the ingredients were not evenly distributed within the omelette. For instance, the tomatoes and onions were on one side, the spinach and feta weren't evenly mixed together and there were parts of the omelette that had no filling at all. The home fries were good, but I had to seek out ketchup from another table (rather than wait for my server to check on me). The coffee has never been the best but the main entree generally makes up for it. The value was decent and I'd recommend for a casual meal in a clean setting.

The potato soup was like chunky water. The macaroni noodles in the mac n' cheese were overcooked, same with the noodles in the beef and noodles. The vegetables tasted canned and soggy. The mashed potatoes were lumpy. The salad bar had very little toppings to choose from. The dessert was disappointing too; a very dry chocolate cake with not much flavour, topped with whipped cream. The cake crumbled as soon as my fork touched it and stuck to the roof of my mouth. Oh, and speaking of cutlery...my fiancés butter knife had a big splotch of old crusted food on it. Overall, the buffet at Ryan's Restaurant was not good and I would only recommend it to someone whose standards couldn't possibly get any lower. I would go as far to say that this buffet was worse than the Golden Corral buffet, which says a lot, because Golden Corral is bottom of the barrel food in terms of quality. The only decent thing about the buffet was the fried chicken, which still had no flavour but at least it was cooked well.
