    Turkey dinner
    Heather H.

Stopped by while on a roadtrip. Immediately upon entering we saw a sign "permanently banned" with a photo of governor wolf and health secretary Rachel Levine. Unnecessary and unwelcoming. We came in anyway the staff wears shirts stating "stand for the flag kneel for the cross" or "working like crazy to support the lazy" tee shirts. Again totally unnecessary. I have never felt less welcomed in a diner honestly I wish we would have left right away. We ordered the turkey dinner and chicken cordon blue sandwich. The chicken cordon blue sandwich was good. The turkey dinner had tons to peppers which we didn't love. The service was fine but the atmosphere was uncomfortable. Do not recommend due to unwelcoming atmosphere

All of the coffee mugs now look like this.

We returned to the 220 Diner today and found that we were not as impressed this time around. We both ordered egg breakfasts, and this time we were both underwhelmed with the home fries. They were not very flavorful and parts of them were so overcooked (over warmed?) that they were hard. Two of my four sections of toast were burnt. The man said that his spinach & feta omelet was overcooked and barely had any feta in it. Also, this time around, we really saw that the owners' far right conservative politics were front and center (see photos). That is just unnecessary and will drive some customers away. I'm guessing the owner just doesn't care about that.

Good food served by friendly people. We stopped off here for a business breakfast and we all left satisfied. I've eaten here many times before at the suggestion of locals when staying up the road at the Fairfield and not been disappointed. Yum!

I was staying at a local hotel, and saw this diner was close by so stopped in. I love visiting local diners! The diner was hopping and luckily I got the last open table. The menu had a broad variety of breakfast and lunch items - I ordered the western omelet and crispy bacon. The waitress came quickly and brought much-needed coffee! The atmosphere was fun and relaxing while I waited for my food. It arrived quickly considering all tables were taken - hot, aromatic and delicious! I would recommend you stop in

A true diner with good food! Based on Yelp reviews and the fact that it is full of locals versus tourists we wanted to try Route 220. Our waitress was friendly to everyone, she was efficient and took care of us well. We waited just a second to be seated, looked briefly at the menus while she brought us water and coffee. Hubby had the bowl and I ordered a traditional meat, potatoes, eggs and pancakes. It also came with toast and I asked for a biscuit, "sure sweetie- no problem " the biscuits were very good. Everything was good, and it was so much food, quite the bargain - we commented that both meals cost us less than one elsewhere. I really wanted to try a piece of pie because that seemed to be their specialty but I was too full. The menu board of pies would bring be back if I'm ever in the area again.

The diner seemed to be very popular with people who, (based solely on looks -- like clothing and attitudes) seemed to be local, not travelers. The interior was teeming with fun vintage posters and current advertising place mats. Because there were a lot of people, space was a bit tight. But it fit with the diner vibe. There were a couple of decorations with modern political overtones, including a little sign on the lobby entrance door. The sign was from a different time (Covid,) but it plus the other (bobble-head) may be enough to make some people, with any type of political opinion or non-opinion, uncomfortable if they don't want to talk or think about politics during their meals amongst strangers. The food was tasty and priced well for the generous portions served. The service was quick, and the employees were happy and friendly. The diner accepts credit cards, but there's an extra fee. This doesn't seem to be unusual, though. I'd recommend bringing cash, and adding the "savings" for not using a credit card to your tip!

    Above average mug size.

Overflowing with locals at 10am on a Monday. Must not be all bad. Was aiming for a different diner .. but missed it and ended up here. Typical greasy spoon ... head to toe. Food was flavorful ... the sign of a well used flat top? Ordered my standard corned beef hash and it' didn't disappoint. Gotta cook it long enough for some crisp. Cheese was on not in the eggs ... but still worked well. Hash browns are chunks of baked potatoes, again, they were better thanks to some more time on the grill. Love the fact they put everything on the plate instead of 12 plates. Coffee was good and it's served in a slightly larger mug than typical diners. Overall, worth the stop. Just gotta get past the greasy spoon dirtiness. .

Great lunch! Hot food, friendly service! Fifties vibe decor. We used to stop at this location when it was under a different name. It went downhill. Not sure if new owners or what but it is now a great stop for lunch.

The best breakfast in Pennsylvania hands down!!!!! Shocked the yelp stars aren't higher so makes me wonder of Yelp isn't putting the good reviews on! Everyone around us raved about their food and service too! Damien was our waiter and he was amazing!!! Had several tables but treated us like royalty! Was very attentive to all of us (we had a party of 6). All of the staff was Friendly. Restaurant was so clean. Restrooms also bright and clean. The coffee cups were definitely very large which we loved. Atmosphere was great as well. The food was top notch!! Very tasty! Awesome experience and thanks Damien for such amazing service!!

I saw a sign for this place off the highway and was excited to get off and regain my composure. The guy who served me was so sweet, very friendly and didn't seem irritated with me talking and talking and talking lol I was anxious and couldn't help myself. We got some treats and used the very clean bathroom. They didn't have an annoying tip machine and the guy didn't even expect one but I wanted to show my appreciation for his kindness and allowing me to talk so much haha. Great place in a beautiful area 10 out of 10

Sliders and a huge bowl of applesauce for one kid (big approval on both). Bowl of creamy tomato soup for kid #2, which he said was amazing. Yard Bird sandwich was enormous, juicy, and very crisply fried. Corned beef and sauerkraut (housemade) in the Reuben was delicious but had a slightly disappointing meat-to-kraut ratio that had me wishing for a bit more of the tender corned beef. A really nice touch is that the kids meals are 1/2 off with the purchase of an entree. $5 instead of $10. Great deal and still high quality food. Our waitress was terrific but the kitchen was surprisingly slow given that there were only a few diners in the restaurant. (The slow service made it a 4 star, not 5, experience.) Nice decor and clean bathrooms. Some in our party wandered through the quaint artisan village across the street while we waited for our food.
