There is a good variety of things to do and it's always a great time. Pro Tip - If you want to buy points to play games, go to the counter. They usually have deals/discounts that you won't see in the kiosk. Also if you previously had a card but forgot to bring it, you don't have to buy a new card. We wet here Saturday night and it wasn't too busy. The lines in the parking lot of South towne mall are so old you can barely see them let alone at night. It was $20 for 84 credits but most games are around 12 credits plus $2 for a game card. We got about 4 games for our family of 5 before we were out of credits. We earned 162 tickets so 54 per child. The lowest ticketed items are 10 so each kid got one or two small toys and then a candy to share. Very clean arcade, flashing lights and variety of games. Food court and bowling alley is upstairs. We didn't really check out the upstairs but I did see Asian food options available also $1 scoops for ice cream! My kids loved it but pricey. read more

They have your typical arcade food but a quite a few Japanese options which is interesting but this is a Japanese arcade. Bowl of Ramen is kinda near to see. Place is clean. What a cool place!! Lots of parking. Downstairs is ALLLLL games!!! They have so so many claw machines!!! Upstairs is bowling, pool tables, karaoke, food & the bar. They do have lots of tables to sit down and eat. Couldn't find bathrooms downstairs so had to go up but not a super big deal. The food was surprisingly not bad and they had actually a lot of beer choices!! And some good ones - Mango Cart, Kona, Uinta Wyld! I don't think be cards are too expensive. The games themselves are tho.... 14 credits for the claw machines... goes by so fast. That would be my biggest gripe. Also all my fav games weren't working. But they do have some super cool games I haven't seen before! Some VR ones and ones that move!! I loved this place! We walked to the front door and got ID checked to see if we were 18 years old because it was past 10 p.m. No idea why. Then we went to pay for bowling. we were the only people in line, yet it took a 15 minutes. We had 4 people in our party, the cashier rung us up on 1 check, which was understandable because we didn't clarify. However, when we asked if we could split it 4 ways- you would have thought we asked the cashier to hike everest. the actual bowling was horrible. lanes sucked. it was silent, no music playing. we asked if they had music and we were told "yes, but don't want to mess with the volume." I purchased a water bottle. I was told that it came with free refills, using the water fountain around the corner! The price to bowl for an hour wasnt bad. so that's a positive. the only downside though is that we felt like we needed to stay for the full hour. Highly recommend. read more

With help from Celeste T., my Yelp SLC Bestie, her review encouraged me to not order food or drinks, and to download the app prior to paying for the karaoke Room use. We went on a Tuesday night and there were two karaoke rooms in use at the time. We were assigned to Karaoke Room 3 which holds about 12 people. From what I could see through the glass doors, the smaller karaoke rooms have a comfortable couch. Karaoke Room 3 had three classroom style tables with four plastic chairs at each table. Not the most comfortable in my humble opinion. I strongly suggest that you become familiar with the app ahead of time, to maximize use of the time you paid for the room. You don't want to waste time searching for songs in the app when you could be singing. The audio quality was sufficient. You are allowed to make adjustments to audio. As for the visual portion, it's just words on the screen and zero pictures, videos, or scenery while you sing. That was kind of boring :( The walls between karaoke rooms are not thick. You can hear the singers next to you. That could be distracting for some. You can also hear the bowling alley from Karaoke Room 3. Went here last week for my cousins bday party. We had two bowling lanes for about 2 hours and one billiard table. On top of that we also ordered a lot of food. Food came about an hour later though which was pretty slow but at the same time we didn't mind since we were doing competitive bowling. The food was good though, we ordered all the flavors for the chicken wings, fries, tater tots and mozzarella sticks, on top of that we had soda. The wings was pretty good. Ambiance to the whole place was pretty good and not that rowdy and too late for it being a Saturday afternoon. After a couple hours of playing, we went downstairs and splurged on a lot of money on the crane games. Those can get pretty addicting. We did end up winning two big stuffed toys though. Was there to play games and bowling with friends a group of 7 and my friend and his son where going up the escalator see me going down his son turned around and went down four or five steps the wrong way and the security officer didn't just kick my friend and his son out for disobeying rules or anything he kicked me out for being part of the party, he needs to learn his true job. I'm starting to be a regular here after they upgraded their Pump It Up cab to the newest version! Phoenix! Round1 is definitely THE spot for rhythm games. As far as the traditional dance games go, they have 2 DDR cabs and 1 Pump It Up cab. I usually stick to Pump It Up but if rhythm games are your thing, this is the place to be. They have so much more than dance games. They have too many for me to describe in this review! They even sell the cards that keep track of your progress online for Pump It Up. I think they sell the DDR cards here too. This location a bit far for me because I live downtown but it's not too far from the Sandy Civic Center trax stop. If you ride your bike, it's only a 10 minute ride away. If you come on a Friday night, the dance game vibe can be pretty intense. This is when the experts come out to show off their moves. Their credit buying chart is super confusing and you can really burn through a lot of credits playing expensive dance games. It took me awhile to learn this but if you buy the membership and the max amount of credits, it's actually cheaper than buying just the credits on their own. So if you plan on buying the larger quantities, just sign up for the membership. It's not a recurring cost, there's no downside. Food is upstairs. The food is what I would call carnival food. It's simple. Think burgers, fries, wings, and milkshakes. It's fine in a pinch but definitely plan to eat beforehand. In a worst case scenario, you can get food at the Southtown Food Court. They also have a small bar but I have never ordered alcohol here so I can't speak to the quality, I would say that given the fact that I have never seen anyone drink a beer here ever. I would not order anything on tap. Who knows the last time those tap lines were cleaned! Anyway it's a good time here! There's so much more than dance games, there are lots of group arcade games that you can only enjoy when you make the trip to the arcade. Upstairs they also have bowling and what looks like gambling machines near the bar. They're probably a very sanitized version of Utah-legal gambling. We played arcade games and pool. We had fun but it is expensive, way more than D&B. They also have a "bar" but I did not see any real liquor being served. I was in heaven. Large arcade downstairs with all kinds of cool games and bowling alley upstairs. We walked around the arcade first. It's done by tokens and you win points that can be turned in for fun prizes. Then we went upstairs and bought two rounds of bowling which included the shoes. Unheard of! There was a bar area and a food area and an ice cream area. I went to the ice cream area and bought two waters for an actually affordable price. (i'm just beaten down by the insane prices of the silicon valley) Daughter and I had a great time bowling. Next time, we'll have to remember to put up the bumper guards since I had way too many gutter balls and we didn't care about the score. Remember to rack your bowling balls, please, when you're done. It's been probably 10-15 years since I've been to an arcade, and I'm glad I finally got around to coming to round1. This place is awesome! They have an arcade, bowling, ping pong, food, and I'm sure more that I didn't see. I came here with my 2 year old, and was pleased to find there were plenty of games that he could enjoy, as well as more challenging skill based games for my wife and I. It did seem that they have way too many "claw" machines. There is a whole giant section dedicated to them, and most of them have strange looking prizes that wouldn't want even if I managed to actually win. It's also a shame that physical tickets are no longer a thing, but I'm sure that's not unique to round1. When all was said and done, we went to turn our tickets into prizes, and for the most part, the options were pretty typical: little candies, small plastic toys, random erases and such, then of course the ridiculously "priced" electronics. There were however some pretty sweet 6-8" spiked rubber balls that were pretty awesome, and with our limited amount of tickets we were still able to get like 3 or 4 of them. Our toddler loves them. I love to come here to play the claw machine games! They have the cutest Japanese toys, and you can actually win here! I also like the other arcade games and coin pusher games they offer. This arcade is a fancier version of Dave and Busters! The only downside is that it's quite expensive, but the more credits you buy the better deal you get! Also, I've never seen anyone clean the machines while people are here, so I'm not sure how clean it is during the day... Had a team building event and chose the all inclusive package here and let me tell you......the value was more than we expected. The location was ready for our party and the customer service was great. The food blew us away! We were not expecting the quality from a bowling/arcade location. Everyone had such a fantastic time and we will definitely consider this location again. Only downside was the arcade cards only worked on driving and shooting games and this made for a quite boring experience. i found myself at round1 arcade during a little weekend manic episode in winter 2022. i had a fair share of those while attending college in Utah, thankfully the illness plaguing me magically ceased upon returning to my homeland of California. anyways, out of all my manic moments in Utah, one of my favorites was the one i spent here! i was joined by my dear lifelong friend and roommate as our mania complimented each others' so well. that semester we spent a lot of precious moments together listening to mitski and traversing the sprawling intermountain west landscape (mainly Utah County.) we were desperate for any escape from our current realities and ended up in the liminal multi-story facility that is round1. we loved the karaoke! we had to extend our minutes though after the gosh damn employee interrupted us mid-belt, right at the crucial climax of the song, I Want It All by Sharpay Evans (High School Musical 3 soundtrack.) we also loved the japanese photobooth! i was so pleasantly surprised to see them there, i love the printed pictures we took. i had very little "fun" during the 3 years that i lived in Utah off and on for college. (2 of these were largely consumed by the pandemic.) this was one of my few outings to a location that stayed open past 9pm. life in utah between the hours of 8pm-3am are some of the most boring, aimless ones despite them being the best most fun hours. this is especially heartbreaking when you're 20 years old and full of lust for life and teeming with an unquenchable desire for adventure and debauchery. everything in utah and our college town (land of wet blankets) closed depressingly early, at 8/9pm. the dismal, sad excuse for 'nightlife' that we had always seemed to end by 10-11pm without fail as well. so this was a treat. round1 has lots of games, we didn't play them but they're there. also you can buy alcohol and ice cream!! literally from the same counter/bar i think. right next to the photo booths and karaoke! i enjoyed the ice cream but i imagine that having both at the same time would be nice. my friend and i left after an hour or so as we were becoming rapidly depressed, not sure if it was round1 specifically or the harsh realities of our lives seeping back to the forefront of our minds... either way, not a bad saturday night crash out! read more

Came for karaoke and my party waited for 2 hours after being quoted 1 hour wait. When we went to get in the room, all rooms were empty. Food was okay, didn't expect 5 star. Basic options for an entertainment place. Karaoke options for songs is good, but advising there is an app to download would be best advised prior to getting in the room since our time starts when we get in. I waited 16 minutes in the alcohol line without anyone coming to check in and that was after the 3 people in front me were already standing there for a while. The place wasn't busy, food seemed to be served timely as we ordered for our room later, but it looked like the manager on duty had to come and work the bar. While I understand short staffing, with the minimal amount of customers upstairs and the number of staff I did see, this would have been easy to work all areas without lacking in service. If there isn't someone available to work the bar, shut it down. There's no reason for anyone to wait 16 mins or more when it's no where near busy. The 3 staff working the food line didn't say anything to the customers waiting for longer than I was and even when there was no one in the food line, no one came to service the alcohol line that was building. Proper planning and adjusting to situations quickly can fix a very lacking experience. read more

DO NOT GO HERE! Round 1 is a hot steaming pile of garbage. I just had the most offensive and blatant rip off of my money I've ever experienced at a place like this. Their machine ate about $20 off the game card. After waiting forever for a mechanic he said I had to go to customer service to get my money. After arguing with them how much money their machine took off my game card they said I'd have to wait 20-30 minutes before the funds were returned. Yes, they knew my card was at $0 and expected me and my child to just sit and wait. I said that is unacceptable and she gets the manager. The manager is some sort of McDonald's manager drop out who's not qualified to work graveyard at a gas station. From the very start he was a belligerent jerk who could care less and expected my daughter and I to wait 30 minutes for them to put money back on. He was aggressive and talking down to me and said "call whoever you want, do whatever you want, you can sit and wait." I've never been treated so insanely rude at this coward. I should also mention there were several pissed off parents in line because this clown can't manage some video games properly. We were all told to sit on our thumbs and wait because they are incompetent. I've disputed the charges with my credit card company so I will get my money back. A fair warning. If you have a problem at Round 1, and chances are you will, you will get treated just like me and all the other parents. I will never go here again and that joke of a manager needs to go back to cleaning outhouses because that's all he's qualified to do. read more

Customer service blows. I watched front desk grow up to 10 ppl in line all while staff members stood around and talked. They appear to be management because, they were the only ones wearing their own clothes but..had name tags. I caught the name of one of them. His name was Edoardo speaking to a middle-aged, brunette woman when a customer in line asked if they could help. They said they were "busy "the one girl working at the front desk was doing all that she could do. A customer behind me when I tried to have a conversation with "management "about some kids who seem to just be hanging out and smelled of weed. They said there was nothing they could do about this the customer and her children left at that time. read more

The best part about Round One is how many games they have and the variety, but we were really disappointed at how many games were Out of Order. Many of our kid's favorite games didn't work. We went on a Sunday afternoon and it wasn't too busy so we didn't have to wait for many games. Most of the games didn't award very many tickets and when we were ready to cash in our tickets for prizes the options were limited and most items required a high amount of tickets. Overall it seemed fairly clean, the bathrooms were kinda messy and the family bathroom was out of order. They did have food on the upper level, but not a lot of options. There is a bowling isle as well. Overall we probably won't return to this arcade due to the high price and the broken games. read more

I've been here twice now and have had different experiences. I came once for a birthday party and played billiards and did some karaoke. Billiards was fun but karaoke we had a ton of problems with. We reserved a room for a few hours but had so much difficulty getting songs to play and fussing with their wifi that we did maybe 40 minutes of actual karaoke time. We asked employees to come twice and we had to stand in line wasting more karaoke time. The most frustrating part was there was compensation for our wasted time. We saw a lot of other groups having fun in their rooms so it seemed that we just had an unlucky night. My second experience here was a lot better. We played in the arcade which is really fun (although can get pretty pricey) and did some bowling. Much better experience with tons of people to help out when we had balls stuck or needed service help. I love that they have 99 cent icecream and pretty well priced food options along with options for beer/drinks. We ordered food which was good. Our bowling balls kept getting stuck and we used the service button at the lane but waited so long we had to go to the front to go tell them even though there were about 5 people just chitchatting behind the counter, and then when I went to go ask the manager if we could do ping pong he immediately said no even though we had the unlimited play. This place is so poorly managed. Every time we come the service is terrible. We brought the kiddos for ice cream today and out of 8 slots they only had one flavor mint chocolate chip. When I asked him if that's all they had to go yet it's been a busy ice cream day. Power tripping security guards will make a great show of taking your incredibly overpriced beer DIRECTLY OUT OF YOUR HAND (the cup AND the pitcher, FML), and then pour them out theatrically, to shame you, for being naughty. NAUGHTY. We went for a karaoke room. My party went to the room; I went to the restroom, then bought a pitcher on my way back. I walked into the room with said pitcher, and was immediately PUT IN MY PLACE. (Because I was a BAD little man, y'know?) The security person told my party ("warned", in her words..; WARNED"? Tell me she wasn't looking for a confrontation), in my absence, that beer was not allowed in the karaoke rooms. I was not present, and she knew I wasn't. Because she was there. Lol. I get the reason for the rule. It makes all the sense in the world! But I honestly didn't know, because it was my first time there, and I just didn't think to think about jt. I was on a (rare) night out with my wife and friends, and reading the signs wasn't first and foremost in my mind. The fact that my party was "warned" in my absence, and then the security person watched me return from the restroom-then-bar, knowing I had NOT been told the rules, means that she was looking for a fight. Sadly, I didn't put up much of a fight. They treated me like a child. Dumped my beer out in front of a crowd, shamed me verbally, and refused to do anything to make me ever want to come back. Just to be clear, after stating my case, when I asked if they would replace my pitcher, they didn't say "no, we're not serving you anymore"... so I wasn't "cut off". They told me I could go buy another one if I kept it outside the room. BAD, BAD MAN! Long story short (too late!), I hope they go bankrupt. I'll never set foot in there again. This is not the arcade that I remembered in my local mall when I was a youngster-this is much better! All the arcade games are larger than life, full of bright colors and lights and noise!
