This location is not as kept up as the others. They have Leagues and a small pro-shop. Their arcade area is always clean and engaging. Service here is always happy and helpful. The menu has something on it for everyone. Food comes out hot and the presentation is delightful. Waitresses frequently walk the bowling area. Bowling area is I desperate need of an upgrade, lanes are constantly in need of maintenance. read more

Awful, terrible, annoying experience. Our balls and pins got stuck 4-5 times in which they had to fix and ran our playing time. We asked for only 10 min to be put back in the clock because of all the pauses and they said no. There was not very many people there so no wait times for a lane and still wouldn't give us some time because of all the fixes of our lane. If you want a bowling experience that doesn't feel tacky and outdated, do yourself a favor and go to Round 1 inside the mall across the street. Or alternatively, the West Jordan All Star location. Decided to do some bowling for my partner's birthday. He'd not been here for quite some time and I had never been. We were pleasantly surprised it wasn't really busy on a Friday night. The shoes we rented were brand new. There was a decent ball selection, although not many with larger finger openings. We had two lanes for our group which was nice. The automated bumpers were great for the littles that were with us. We ordered beer and food from the eatery. The beer selection was pretty good. The food was very good for a bowling alley. Mainly your fried food options, but also burgers and pizza. The facility was clean and well kept. Definitely will be back. read more

Poor experience ever! We bowled for a hour and the last 5 minutes our lane got clogged 2 times and no one came to fix it but gave 10 more minutes and changed our lanes but didn't reset the pin position, plus the lady at the stand was pretty rude! Brunswick Sandy Lanes is a nice bowling in Sandy with lots of bowling lanes, newer equipment, and laser tag and arcade games to top it all off. The place was well maintained, pretty clean, and like I said the equipment was newer looking. It is one of the nicer bowling alleys I've been to in Utah. The arcade offered a variety of games and we had some fun winning tickets and playing some of the racing games. They have a credit card type system where you buy a card and put money on it rather than use standard coins or tokens. This was a good system and I liked it because it made playing games super easy. The arcade was pretty expensive though, most games were $1 per play, which is pretty steep in my opinion, but not unheard of. When some bowling lanes freed up we paid for three games for three people and I was pretty shocked by the price. On a Saturday afternoon we paid $52 for three games for three people and shoes! Maybe that is typical for bowling but I won't be going back on a Saturday, that is too expensive for my wallet. I don't know if Brunswick Sandy Lanes offers coupons or specials throughout the year but it would be worthwhile to find out in order to save some money. I did see that they do some specials on I think Monday and Wednesday nights, so you might call ahead and find out what is offered. read more

I will never come back here to bowl. There was 9 of us. We got 2 lanes. They charge by the hour, not by game which is the stupidest thing I've ever heard. For 4 of us on 1 lane it cost us $87 for an hour and we did a game and a half. We couldn't even finish our second game because the time ran out. The timer for the hour started before we even put our names on the score board, and before we got our balls and put our shoes on. So by the time we started we only had 55 minutes left! They should start the time after the first player throws the ball. So ridiculous. Then during our first game after one of our turns, the bar came down like it normally does after each turn and then it stayed there. It was stuck and we tried to reset the game and it didn't work. So we had to go let an employee at the desk know which wasted our time because the timer was still counting down. We told the employee that and he said he would add more time but he never did and he sounded annoyed. None of the employees were very nice. So we got 2 lanes and we had 4 adults on 1 lane and 2 adults and 1 child on the other lane. They put us next to each other but we did pick up our balls at the same place. My group of 4 adults had to put our balls with a random group. The employees wouldn't switch us. Most of their lanes were broken and down. The lane with 2 adults and 1 child, we asked for the bumpers for the child when we paid. When they added their names on the score board, they didn't have the bumpers up for the child so we had to go ask them again and wait in line to ask an employee and then again we wasted time by going to ask them because the timer kept counting down. We did order some food, we ordered just some fries and chili cheese tots and they were good but the service was so slow. They had one girl working by herself on a Saturday. It's not her fault and we felt bad for her. Why in the heck would they schedule 1 person alone on a Saturday? And why would they have so many lanes closed on a Saturday? I just can't believe they charge by the hour, it's unheard of and the stupidest thing. We weren't even motivated to bowl that well during our second game because we all knew we wouldn't finish it. I will never go hear again! I don't recommend this place at all. Any bowling alley is cheaper than this place. read more

Honestly not the favorite place to bowl. Kinda dirty and expensive. They have one drinking fountain at the far end of the lanes in between the bathrooms. There was a bunch of food in it. That's just one example of why I'm not a big fan of this bowling alley. Food options are pretty bad (also in a different area) and the tv screens aren't as good as other places. Other places do a much better job on the entertainment and food side which is why I don't recommend this place highly. read more

Been here twice the last couple of weeks and the bowling was ok. Got to our lane and the table was filthy and had to ask for someone to come and clean it off. The next time we came we did mini golf. Just take my word for it and DO NOT go mini golfing here. Only 9 holes and you can tell they didn't put much work into making the mini golf nice. It's in the back corner, and is supposed to be glow in the dark mini golf but you can't even see the cups, or your own golf ball. Has more of a haunted house vibe than mini golf. read more

Jenn deserves 5 stars all to herself! She was amazing in helping my children have the best experience possible in the arcade as well as bowling. She was so kind and friendly and after we left both my kids said that's their new favorite arcade and I give Jenn and Cari all that credit! Even when a few games took their money and didn't work, she made it all better. I also noticed her delivering ice cold water to the construction team working on their machines. This place is a joke! Not only is it over priced but the staff was not helpful at all. we went there on a Saturday night and we knew we would have to wait for a lane so we put our name down and we're told that it will be about 30 minutes till they would text us to come bowl. We then went and played games till our time was ready, not only was the game card completely over priced but the extra 4$ fee for the card (that you have to use) was ridiculous! we bought the cards and started paying games, some games would take your points and not let you play, others would let you play but not load your winning "tickets" onto your card, when we asked the workers about it, they could care less!! After an hour and a half we finally went to check to see if we were close to getting a lane and when the kid asked me my name (I was the name on the waiting lis) he couldn't find our name! I showed him my text that I got when I made the request to be on the list and he said he didnt know where our name was, then he told me that it would be at least 2 hours more because I wasn't on the list! Even with the proof of the text stating that I was registered on the list!! with the money we spent for a 4 person date night waiting around for a lane that we never got, we left very upset!! This place is a joke! And we will never go back. oh and one last thing, the sinks in the men's restroom were not working! Considering we have a business open and not providing water to WASH YOUR HANDS after using the restroom is disgusting. read more

I'm going to tell you a story that sounds like one of those stories a fella tells at a party when he's trying to sound impressive. But it's a true story. In my more exuberant youth, I came here for a night of loud bowling (the kind where they have funky lights and loud music). That night the bowling gods looked down upon me, and the dancing gods looked down upon me. And they both had simultaneous pity. That night, I dance-bowled myself to a score of 222. I shimmied up to the line, took a deep breath, and started a perfect game through the 5th frame. It was tremendous. And I've never come near that score again in my life. Those days are gone now (although it wouldn't take much to get me to dance-bowl again) but I've long had fond memories of the place. My most recent trip was still pretty darn fun. It was Thanksgiving, and I went to a friend's "Turkey Bowl" night. A family. A traveling trophy. Almost a decade of stories. I dig All Star locations. I've been to the one in Tooele and had a great time playing Laser Tag and bowling in the VIP lanes. The folks behind Bonneville Brewery own All Star, so you get local beers on tap, and I sipped on both their house-brand Cream Soda and the house Root Beer. Deeeelish! Keep in mind that this is a whole "Fun Center" and not just a bowling alley. So there's more to do like laster tag, an arcade, kids parties, and something called Laser Frenzy which looks to be like a Catherine Zeta Jones-esque Entrapment laser grid game? Haven't tried any of that, but the bowling alley is nice enough itself to get me here every so often. read more

HARD PASS!!! Took kids for half priced games on Wednesday for the first time. VERY DISAPPOINTED! Over half the arcade games were OUT OF ORDER and being the only people in the whole place it was astonishing to be completely ignored and avoided. For a bowling alley this place is pretty nice. I feel like the building is kept up pretty well and everything is always clean and not run down. They have different times and days where bowling and laser tag are pretty cheap. The lanes and balls are well managed, though I do wish they had bigger finger holes in some of the lighter balls, I'm kind of a wimp. The laser tag arena is really fun. It has a good layout, and all of the vests and guns are in good condition. The instructors are usually pretty chill and don't care about running so that's nice. The length of time in the arena is perfect, not too short, but by the end you are tired from running around. The food is pretty typical bowling alley food. Mediocre but not bad, and a little pricey. They do have pretty good churros though. read more

Who doesn't like to bowl. I mean c'mon! One step into this place and you feel like you're a young Ernie McCracken beginning his humble quest for the PBA championship. While I am nowhere near an elite bowler I do enjoy dabbling in the game from time to time. Shoe deodorizer, greased up lanes and tons of league players gives this place a unique character. The fact that it's located in Sandy is the only thing keeping it from being a legit bowler's paradise. I've ventured in here on my lunch break multiple times and I leave satisfied every time. As far as I'm concerned that's a win in my book. Nothing special, but it gets the job done. My only qualm is that I wish the bowling balls were in better condition and that there would be lighter weighted balls with bigger finger holes for my nubbin-like extremities. Good spot for the kids as well since there's arcade games and some laser tag. Haven't tried either of those and probably won't since this place should be used strictly for bowling. read more

We enjoyed bowling here. The facility was fine, no glitz, no glam. But we were able to bowl for a reasonable price, were shown right to a lane, and it never got too crowded. It seemed like the establishment was severely understaffed. And what little employees were there, all acted like they hated being there. When we showed up to pay, the guy at the counter looked like he just woke up from a nap. When we were having trouble setting up our scoreboard, I pressed the button to call an attendant over. Ten minutes flew by and no one came. So I went up to the front and no one was at the counter anymore. I waited and when someone finally showed up, they looked extremely annoyed with me. Then later on when a bowling ball got stuck in the gutter, I went to the front again to seek help and was greeted with the same attitude. I wouldn't really recommend this bowling alley based on service. Our actual bowling experience aside from interacting with the employees here was okay, though. read more

Out for an evening after a local wedding reception, my friend and her friends decided to go cosmic bowling! So we ended up here! You won't find the bowling alley by the name "Brunswick Sandy Lanes," but as "All Star Lanes Sandy." So beware of that. The price wasn't bad at all. There were about 13 of us bowling on 2 lanes, and we were charged about $6.50 each for 1 hour of bowling with shoes on 2 lanes. Not bad at all! So price is excellent! this coming from a guy that doesn't bowl (maybe just a couple times), so I can't really compare prices to other bowling alleys. But I still think this is a deal. The experience was just above good. Thus the 4 stars. The DJ was very involved, playing games and contests. I was able to win a contest...best tattoo. Got myself a free game! There were other games like line dancing and some other stuff I didn't pay attention to. The music he played was OK. I guess he was trying to cater to various types of ears. It was a fairly fun environment. A lot of bowlers for a Saturday evening. Someone in our party order french fries, but the "waiter" brought it to the lane next to us because they said they ordered fries (we didn't know that someone in our party ordered the fries). I think they grabbed a couple fries and realized they ordered chili fries. The person in our party informed us that there should be an order of fries after the fact. So they fessed up and asked if our friend had ordered regular or chili fries, and we told them regular. So they graciously handed them over. Lame! How can you not realize that they aren't chili fries! First of all, the "waiter" initially went to the correct lane, so don't underestimate yourself!!!! read more

What a joke. Wife went in to make lane reservations and was told you can only make them on-line. Well, there's a nice $10 fee to book on-line. Because of an illness we couldn't make it, so I stopped in to cancel but they wouldn't give us a refund, they gave us a gift card for $88. When we rebooked on-line (with another $10 fee) we couldn't use the gift card; we had to use a credit card for the deposit. So we go in early to make sure we pay with the gift card instead of the credit card, and they tell us, no, you can't pay for the lanes with the gift card. Just shoes or the arcade. SERIOUSLY? What's the point of the gift card. So we pay twice (plus $20 in on-line fees) to bowl once. Do yourself a favor and avoid these chiseling bandits. Postscript- the gate came down and stayed down with a minute left on our time. Jerks. read more

We came here with a couple other couples to bowl. I made an online reservation prior to Saturday because I knew it would be busy. We reserved 2 lanes for 1 hour each, going off the guidelines, put online, to be able to bowl two games. First, the line was pretty long getting to the counter (it's a Saturday) maybe should have more than one grumpy man working the Counter. He was actually quite rude. I know it was busy, still not a good way to start the night. Second issue, our lane kept freezing, then when someone would finally come over to fix it, who was up next would be off. This would waste time out of the hour we had, resulting in both lanes not able to complete the game. Super frustrating to be on 9 and not get the last round in. We were going fast too, next bowler was up and waiting as soon as pins went up. Whoever is at the front desk should have a good attitude. If they can't have a good attitude, then they should at the very least, not be rude. Also, you guys should make adjustments when an error or a problem with your lanes, cuts into purchased, play time. read more

This is the most disappointing and burnt out bowling alley I have ever encountered. The employees were completely rude about about our drinks and found the staff/employees lounging around when there was obvious conditions and tasks to be completed. They closed the "concession stand," and had left open the beer tap when we were obviously not interested in alcohol and were only wanting root beer. On top of that, their system/console was repeatedly flickering out and freezing. They would not negotiate on another lane for us. I will go out of my way to avoid this all star. Of course we come for the fun of bowling and spending time with family and friends...and the bowling alley and lanes are fine. But, we also enjoy the food aspect when we are bowling. It's hard to justify the price increase on the food and drinks. The soda now costs nearly $3 with refills costing another $1. I'm sure our family will still come to bowl, but we will spend our money elsewhere on eating out. Also, what they call the "Value Pack" they might want to crunch the number on again. The #2 is $34.99 and the #3 is $45.99. The only difference between these two deals is one $10 game card so...for the #3 deal you are actually paying $11 for an additional $10 game card . Never bowling here again!!! We spend $1,000 here a month and we got denied a pitcher of water and was told if we didnt like it, we had to deal with it or take our money somewhere else. Wtf!!???? Our only option were these itty bitty plastic cups that you literally get one drink out of before you had to fill them up again and the fountain was across the establishment. Who wants to do that!? Who in their right minds thinks its okay to deny pitchers of water to their customers? All because kids are filling theirs up with soda.. B.s.!!! Its just water!
