We have enjoyed Classic Fun Center in the past but tonight was so disappointing. We booked a birthday party for my daughter on a week night, expecting the crowds to be less than usual. It was not cheap. But we thought it would be worth it. My daughter was in tears with disappointment as the place became packed beyond what we have ever experienced. Turns out they booked a whole school party, along with at least 8 birthday parties. It was not fun, nor did it feel safe. It feels like Classic Fun is pretty interested in the bottom line. They should care less about making maximum dollars and more about people having a positive, safe experience. If you have a school party- don't book birthday parties. read more

It is a very loud place, but there's a variety of activities you can do inside. You can roller skate, play arcade games, play laser tag, play in the bouncy house, etc. I would say it's definitely a place for younger kids. It is a place for all ages, but I'd say it's more fun for younger kids. We got the ultimate pass, which was $30 per person, if I remember correctly. While the prices have gone up over the years, which is to be expected, the place is still a blast from the past and they've even grown since I was a kid. They have laser tag and a bounce house area along with skating, hence it being fun center now instead of skating. We have been for several birthday parties and most recently for my nieces birthday which happened to coincide with their new years eve celebration. It was super fun and the staff working the food counter was very friendly and helpful. It is a place meant for children so was a bit stickier than I personally would have liked but still super fun. This isn't a skating rink. It is a scooter rink overrun by unsupervised children going way too fast while having zero spacial awareness. No one watches the rink(workers or parents), kids ride the wrong way and cut you off. If you come, BRING A HELMET! You will be going down. read more

Like so many places like this, I bet they're great when they open but over the years they just not cleaned or maintained properly. Everything in the place was sticky to the touch, dirty or covered in a layer of dust and it's pretty run down. It really needs a large industrial cleaning crew to spend a week in there, sanitizing and cleaning every surface! That being said, my kids had quite a bit of fun there today. They loved the skating part of it all. It needs an injection of cash to replace all the gross skates and things and it needs some updating. The value is also questionable when they charge you $15 just to skate but then make you pay to rent skates too on top of that. Well worth the money! There's a skating rink that you can bring your own scooter or rent skates. There's lots for kids to-do, the best part is in each area there's only one way in and one way out. The downside, some of the employees need to be retrained, half of them look like they hate their jobs. Be aware, they don't have AC in the building only swamp coolers. read more

I want to give a shout out to my daughter's birthday party host. Her name was Shawnee. I often get overexcited on my daughter's birthday. When my party was running late... she eased my worries. I took my 7 year old and her friend this last weekend. I didn't see anything dirty or rundown like a lot of the reviewers have claimed. The kids had a blast on their scooters out in the roller rink, loved the blow up houses and didn't want to leave when the time came. I did knock off 2 stars because the arcade games and other games to get prize tickets are extremely overpriced. A kid can blow through $50 in literal minutes. I have such a hard time with this place. The kids absolutely love it, but it is torture for me. It feels so old and grimy, there are always tons of wild and unsupervised kids in the bounce house area, and always some really shady looking adults hanging around the skating area. The last time I was there for a party, they had us at tables in the corner which was nice and cozy and out of the way- until they came and inflated a huge mechanical bull set up right in front of us. The fan to inflate it was extremely loud on top of the loud guy talking on the mic and the music of the skating rink. I had a migraine after the experience. Also, it's pretty expensive! read more

On the other hand, most workers are friendly and kind especially the manager who also acts as DJ. We took a risk sending our son to the Classic Fun Center in Sandy with a couple of friends automatically assuming masks were required and enforced. About half of the people were not wearing masks and they were not eating food. No distancing or attempts to be safe in any way. I regretted our decision the second we walked in.
