The first time we were only there 30 min and they said we had to leave because it was disco night or something and you have to be older then 16, could have told us that before we paid. We decided to give it another try since there are not any other choices for skating. This time it cost us so much more then the first time. When I asked why they said it's "special" holiday pricing. Which is a few dollars more per person. Some special. I give it two star because it was a fun atmosphere. It felt family friendly and they didn't charge my hubby who was just there to watch the kids. Rethink Visiting classic fun center, this place isn't what it used to be. While in the blast zone my little brother was put in a headlock by another child, after talking with the employee manning that station, (he told me that they were just rough housing and refused to do anything about it) I told him I do not agree and the other child should not be allowed to continue in the activity . I told him I would like to speak with a manger. Kevin was the manager that responded. WHAT A JOKE. I don't know how this man works in any customer service related role. First off, I have previous experience in running experiences like classic fun center and I know how big of a liability they are, not once did he ask if he was ok, (he does have bruising around his neck) or attempt to de -escalate either party. Instead Kevin chose to raise his voice and told us that if we kept pushing the issue that he would just kick out both parties. I told the rest of my group to go back into the blast zone while I went to get a drink. I walked back into the blast zone and overheard Kevin talking to his employees about me saying "he's just an idiot" I said "excuse me" and his reply was "I don't need your business". WHAT A JOKE. I won't be back due to this incompetent employee. To top off my visit my other brother stepped on a exposed screw. I Repeat RETHINK VISITING this venue. It has gone down hill. Came here on a Tuesday. Almost no one was here and I got the early bird special (7.95). Skating was fun, but there were toddlers and small children in the rink area. They were going the wrong way, so skated in the more "grown up" track area. Bouncy houses were super fun, as were the foam pit and trampoline. It is a bit run down, but still, laughed a lot and burned quite a few calories. This is my second time visiting and I would recommend it. read more

This is a real review for the sandy location. This is not a 5 star resort for your kids. This is what it is, cheap fun for your little ones(look online you can find deals). I would say ideal age is 4+. Here is a novel idea parents, if you have little ones be with them, dont expect top of the line day care for little Suzy. This place is ran like an old school skating rink. Lots of kids birthday parties on the weekend and crowded, Weekdays more mellow. Teenagers work here as they should, good first job. (Give them a break, would you want to work here) My little guy is 4.5 yrs old and he loves it....brings his scooter goes around the track...fell down once, guess what we didn't run to management. Bounces in bouncy houses.....bounced into a kid, guess what he laughed. Played some games.....won some tickets and got a prize. Went into the blaster zone....kids shot each other with foam balls, made some friends. We got a summer pass and its a great way to get them doing some physical activity instead of playing fortnite all day. Unfortunately some people want their kids to grow up in this soft nerf world with rounded edges and participation trophies given to everyone. We had a blast! The skating was undeniably fun. I haven't been since Classic Skating was off 26th in Bountiful/Woods Cross in the 90s. However I'm not a fan of the things I had no control over...pushy kids and adults, foul mouthed teens; groups of them. All over. You say excuse me, you get "the look". I better just nut up and be more assertive next time. I guess that's why everyone shoves their way through. They know how to navigate a place like that better than I ever would. It was way crowded. Almost anything on wheels is allowed. If you have a kid that doesn't want to skate, they can bring their scooter. I thought that was pretty cool. Grandkids loved it!! So fun and very affordable!! We especially loved the bounce houses, the pizza, the skating, and the laser tag!!

We paid $50+ to buy 2 "unlimited" passes that were supposed to come with a pair of roller skates. My 7 year old can't ride roller skates so I asked if he could get a scooter instead. The kid at the table said absolutely not- even though they are the same price to rent. nothing about this place was "fun" went in on a friday night with my friends to go skating and had multiple bad interactions with staff. some staff were being rude when we asked them questions about where the skate rentals where, where the bathroom was, etc. it was like we were bothering them?? Man I haven't been to this place in years! It seems a lot smaller now, but still a lot of fun. My only complaint is it was burning hot. I'm not sure if they just didn't have the air on or if it was broken but man... teenagers+ no air + skating = no bueno. Completely ridiculous that Classic joins pledges to stays safe and stay open. They say they enforce the mask mandate, when in reality this place is a disaster and complete spreading ground for covid. No masks. No distancing. Large crowds. We want businesses open. We want schools open. They clearly don't have the public's best interests in mind. Mediocre place to skate for those of us who are actual skaters. There is no skating etiquette at this rink and no effort put into trying to correct this. Whenever there is a session happening nobody respects the passing lane, style calls, or basic food/drink rules. I would think since this rink mainly has speed/jam skaters they would at least uphold the passing lane standard such as the rink in Orem does, but sadly they will not. This rink allows anything with wheels on the skate floor from scooters to hoverboards. On some nights the Dj would announce that it is only skates or blades after a certain hour for 16+ nights, but even then there are kids quite literally no older than 14 still on the skate floor with scooters. Headphones are ESSENTIAL here because you can never rely on the DJ to play music that you could actually SKATE to despite the skate style you may be accustomed to. The only night that plays good music would be on Monday nights. Mondays have become the best nights for skaters to go to the rink which is unfortunate because a skater should always feel compelled to head to the rink. The DJ that is usually on the weekends has quite openly stated that if he wanted he could be BETTER but doesn't because of complacency. This lack of enthusiasm to play BETTER music for the regular skaters which MAKE the community is truly the reason I only skate here once a week. I used to be here 5 days a week but now I only go once. Thursdays and Fridays once had been incredible nights to go until recently. Thursdays have been reduced by an hour so the rink is only open until 11pm. Plus the DJ has awful taste in music. Thursdays were better when they were up till 12 and Jared DJ'd. Fridays were great until the DJ would start playing disco music despite having an entire day dedicated to disco which would be Saturday. If your going to set themes of the day throughout the week it's imperative that you STICK to the themes and not stray. I understand some people may request disco or country but on flashback/roll-bounce those genres should not find their way there. Respect the themes of the nights, if someone wants to here a certain genre of music then they should come on the night of said genre; instead of ruining someone else's night who attentively does not skate on Saturday because of the music. Me and all of the regulars who had once skated there feel as though we are unwelcome and seen as a nuisance by the staff. Neptunes new rink is incredibly sincere in their welcoming environment. Classic in Orem has a music selection for rhythm skating and has an incredible DJ. The DJ's ability's make up for the 45min drive there, 45min drive back to SLC, $15 admission(which is more expensive than sandy on Thursdays), smaller rink, rough floor, and crowded space. Unlike Classic in sandy, Orem gets soo many people they run out of rental skates weekly, and it's all because of the music. Despite all of the cons of going to orem the single pro outweighs all of the cons because of the importance music has on a session. There was a kid who DJ'd for like only two weekend days at Sandy and he had the best session I'd say this whole year. His name has Gabriel and his music selection and DJ'ing is great. Unlike the other DJ Trevor who's complacent, Gabriel has passion in what he was doing and I think that's what really made the session great. Trevor may interact with the crowd verbally but he sound like he's reading a script and says the same thing repeatedly. I can guess what song he will go into next based on whatever song he is playing at the moment. Gabriel interacts with the crowd through the music, and that's what a Dj really is. But ultimately to sum everything up the Dj doesn't care for the regulars, the rink doesn't care for skating etiquette, the staff treats us regulars as nuisances, and the overall environment isn't welcoming for skaters. I would hardly call this place a roller rink because as stated in the name it truly is only a FAMILY FUN CENTER. read more

This place was the spot in middle school! And they had Big Bertha... I hope she's still there. Basically, you toss meatballs into this woman's mouth and she gets fat, and you win tickets based on her obesity. Honestly, what is more inspiring than that? I'll tell you what. Thirteen year old girls singing karaoke to Backstreet Boys and Celine Dion for a kid's party. Oh, we had such dreams and aspirations! What hell happened? Any who... if this place is the same as it was a little over ten years ago, parents should feel safe to leave their middle schoolers WITH FRIENDS alone to have a good time. Many a first-hand-held's and two week romances started on the roller rink here, but that was about as sketchy as it ever got. We had an absolute BLAST! The kids loved everything. Prices were more then fair, food was above par, staff was friendly and courteous. Best part, they understand the value of personal liberty and freedom. We were not harassed once about wearing masks and at this point, that matters. If you think a cloth over you or your kids face will protect you from a virus and you expect this INDOOR FUN center to enforce that to make you feel better, then YOU are the problem, not the business. On Halloween night it was packed, and they told to only use one pump for the hand sanitizer, which is really dumb when they have multiple hand sanitizer across the place. In the past year I have been to a ton of 4- 5- 6- year-old birthday parties and this was THE WORST venue I have yet experienced. It feels small and they pack way too many people into the small space. It is loud, dirty, and smells. The staff are ok, it really depends on who you get; the first girl was apathetic and gave me the wrong party package, the second girl corrected it. The food (pizza) is blah. Equivalent to the store-brand frozen pizza. Probably my worst complaint are the bathrooms. What kind of business packs in hundreds of people and only has a two stall bathroom with one sink?!? You will find yourself waiting in line twice - once for the toilet and one for the sink. There are other better venues for kids birthday parties. My favorite is the come-to-you exotic animal and zoology show by Wild Things. See my review for more info on them, they really are great. Please don't visit Classic Fun Center. They have traumatized my child and called the police on him on a simple mistake! Here is our story - I took my 11 year old to Classic Fun Center today to meet his friends. Josh brought in what I believed to be his own roller blades, the manager asked if they were from Ckassic and I said no we brought them from home you just watched us walk in with them. He took our money gave us a wrist band and we went in. After finding the friends and the mom, I stopped by the skate counter to make sure my son didn't have any trouble with the skates, the manager preceded to tell me they were Classic skates, I said if that is the case he must of mistakenly brought home the wrong skates at a previous visit. So give us our skates we wllll give you yours. He left and I waited a few minutes, he didn't come back so I left with the skates I came with, and figured I would work it out when I came back to pick up Josh. You will never believe what Classic did next they called Sandy Police, they came to Classic and of course had to talk to my 11year old about stolen skates!!! Anyone that knows my son knows how this would affect him. Luckily the officer that responded was an amazing person saw the craziness of the situation and was so good to my son. I came picked up my child and gave them "their" skates, although my son's skates were no where to be found. Please share and think twice about giving your business to a business dedicated to kids, but clearly little idea of how mistakes happen and to actually try and find a solution. I feel that I needed to comment and contradict all the haters. This place was freaking awesome. We brought our daughter for her sixth birthday. We didn't do a birthday package or anything we just came to play and honestly our group of thirty somethings had as much fun if not more than the kids. The staff was friendly and helpful, we were even contemplating playing laser tag but they warned us that it might be scary for the young kids. To help us make up our minds they actually took us into the laser tag area so that we could preview it. The hours flew by and the grown ups were not ready to leave when it came time. The pass we got was unlimited use of the roller skating, bounce area and jungle gym and any one of the areas would have been worth what we paid. I went to Classic Fun Center with a couple of friends on NYE to go rollerblading and was shocked by the lack of regulations this place had. The majority of the people in the building (INCLUDE EMPLOYEES) were not wearing masks, and the ones who were had them down on their chin, there were also no sanitation stations as well as no employees disinfecting high touch areas. They had made ONE announcement saying that the health department has already been called twice about them and to "try and wear your mask", which of course no one responses to. I work in retail, so I understand that not EVERYONE will always follow the rules, but this was something else. Employess were not enforcing any kind of rules whatsoever. There was no refusal of service and there was also no occupancy limit. I reported them to the health department because I (and I'm sure those who were wearing masks) felt like this business was not doing their part in protecting and caring for their guests. I had also posted a review on Facebook, in hopes that the lack of responsibility this place had would be brought to people's attention. The so-called "DJ" of the place messaged me personally on Facebook, using very profane language and just plain disrespectful remarks. He then proceeded to say he was going to "personally come to my work and get it shut down" . Here are screenshots of what he said to me. An awesome place to go for hours of fun. I was visiting from San Diego with a group of friends and we decided to check this place out on a Saturday night. $15 for 3 hours of fun!! Laser tag, bounce house, blast zone, video games and roller skating to some great old tunes. I love how it was 16 and older after 9pm, so we didn't have to worry about trampling over toddlers. Although a few teens were rowdy and borderline risky/dangerous in the rink. All-in-all my friends and I had a wonderful time being kids again. We come to Utah every year for snowboarding and we plan to make the classic fun center a part of our annual trip. The one big complaint I did have was about a young man who worked at the roller skate counter. When I walked up to get my skates, he was busy flirting with a couple of girls and playing with a ukulele. He just stared at me, making it clear that I was interrupting him and he was annoyed. He did offer to get skates for me and my fiance, but told my fiance that they didn't have his size (after reluctantly taking a look at their inventory). A minute or two later I decided to ask one of the other staff members, a young lady on the other side of the counter, and she immediately found skates in my fiance's size. i had so much fun when i came here for my little sisters birthday party. we stayed for 4 hours and we were all up in that skating rink, blast zone, and bouncy house area and we straight had a lotta fun. but let me tell you why i took 2 stars off. our original plan was to bounce back home 2 hours earlier then when we ended up leaving, but we stayed those extra 2 because this short nasally voice worker at the dj booth never play my sisters birthday song request. so in those 4 hours i was here, i went up to that dj booth 5 times too many. and every time i went up there i was like ok you got my girls song? like we are trying to leave but we are just waiting for you to play her song. only reason we stayed was cause every time i went up and asked about the queue he would say "oh yeah i got you its coming up in the queue" LIAR SMH!!!! the power of patience kept me from going up to that dj stand and smacking him to the side so i could do the simple task of doing a birthday shout out with a song request. also, its not that hard to be like "ooo i am not sure if i can do that but have a wonderful birthday" or "that song doesn't fit the vibes do you have another choice" or you know a simple no. i would rather be declined than sit there for 2 extra hours waiting for him to play my sisters song. fun place but watch out for the short nasally voice worker and take a hot full body shower after to get all the germs off. read more

I am absolutely in a twilight zone right now. I called to reserve tables for my sons birthday party for a Saturday and they told me its first come first serve so I came right when it opened and every table and party room was booked and RESERVED!!! I asked the person at the front desk why was I told over the phone that it was first come first serve and she said it is, however all the tables are booked for party packages. I ended up spending more money then if I would've just got a party package. It would've been common curtesy for them to tell me that everything was booked and to plan a party package for a different Saturday, and I would've in a heartbeat if I knew how crazy it was here on a Saturday. It's a blast! Best kid's birthday place in the valley. The Chuckecheese rat is crying himself to sleep at night hoping more folks don't discover this gem. And weekends are a riot here, like Pleasure Island in Pinocchio. Kids constantly ask to go back, and many of the kids we've invited to parties end up hosting their own here as well. Parents can let loose and have a great time too. It's kept pretty clean, not aged enough to bother me. And they're pretty flexible with birthday parties..you can arrange an inexpensive birthday, or a pricier one with all the bells and whistles. Either way kids have a great time. We just reserve a couple of tables, order a couple of pizzas and let the kiddies go hog wild. The party rooms are unnecessary really. Pizzas here are kid worthy, not bad, brought piping hot. The highlight of the party is always the wind tunnel ticket grab at the end. Regarding the activities, the skating is some of best I've done, and I grew up at the skate rink. Music is loud, DJ is good, floor is dimly lit but full of dancing lights and color. And the street track is a hit with older children. Kids can even bring their own scooters. 3-D Laser tag, blast zone, bounce area, the jungle..all get rave reviews from little ones, but personally I have not partaken. We have only been during cold weather so I can't comment on the summer water park. "Dime" arcade is a misnomer, since all of the games take multiple tokens, some require a lot of 'em. I hate to give away our ticket hoarding secret...play the harpoon fishing game, wait for the octopus to emerge from the chest..first to shoot it gets 800 tickets. Prizes at the ticket exchange are easily the best I've encountered. I am taking off one star for the pricing..though they have weekday specials, they gouge people on the weekends. Kids loved it here! I recently brought my 5 year and 4 of his little buddies old for his brithday and they had a blast!! We even took them into the laser tag area and they enjoyed it. Not sure if they got competitive with it but they loved carrying the gun and wearing the vest! We didn't get to skate but next time we'll be bringing scooters. The kids spent a lot of time in the bouncy houses and jumping off into a pool of foam, and also liked The Jungle area. I came a weekday, to avoid the crowds. It fills up fast! I'd recommend to come early and leave early, especially for younger kids. Not sure how it is on weekends, or evenings but I bet it gets pretty crazy!! Classic has been around since I was the age my kids are now. A few things have changed about it but the basic concept is the same. It is a lot of fun for what you pay to play. They have a different deal everyday so make sure to check the website to find out what deal it is for the day you want to go. They have two different areas to skate. Be aware the skate rental is not included in the price. I am pretty sure you can bring scooters in. You can always bring your own skates in. They also have bounce houses and a climbing jungle. The bounce houses are really big and super fun. The jungle is a little harder for the little kids to navigate but my 5 year old loves it. They have a few other activities like laser tag but we have never done them. We just recently rented a party room there for my 11 year olds birthday party. We got the karaoke room. It was such a great value. It was only $10 an hour! They had a lot of great song options for them to sing. The best part is that you don't have to book a birthday party if you want to book the room. We went on a Tuesday so every activity was just $2. We payed for the kids to go swimming and do the water slides. It was the least expensive party we have done in a long time. The kids had a blast! I didn't give it 5 stars because it does need some updating and it feels a little dirty. They could definitely benefit from sprucing the place up a bit.
