Overall our stay was pleasant, the cabin was well stocked and bed was comfortable. The pool was clear and seating/tables well maintained. Activity areas such as mini golf, tennis court and other play areas were not very well maintained and in some cases needed repair. Arrived on a Saturday with assurances that our site was ready. Drove to the farthest site in the park (100ft from 15 - that's another beef!) and noted that it was occupied. Waited 20 minutes while on hold with the campground supplied number. Finally decided to drive up front. Passed the guy in "our" site who was apparently staying two more nights. After waiting to talk to the front desk person, she apologized and said she forgot that they had moved us a few spaces away. Looks like our site was recently added. Barely could level. Front door was hard to close. Big sink hole in the mud near the sewer and power. Halfway into our stay we lost power. Turns out no one else near us lost their power. Of course the office was closed and I wasn't confident anyone would ever answer anyway! I tried and left a message anyway. We finally determined our power cable would reach the vacant site next to us and plugged in to it. We now have power. We have 18 more hours here and I can't wait to leave. I can not recommend this place! Looks like it has been rundown. Being near 15 is EXTREMELY noisy. Constant road noise. Trust me, stay anywhere else. Oh, I forgot to mention, the manager-looking guy didn't even give me a glance as I checked in. Way to alienate your customers. read more

400+$for a three night stay with full hook up for 33' trailer. OK. Put on a hill next to RT.15 highway. wow could not sleep at all. Might as been parked at a roadside rest area. Took for ever to get the trailer level. Never even talked to any one from the campground. I thought it was expensive for what it was. October so off season? No pool, playground ect. They sent out text for pumpkin carving. Just a real disconnect with your patrons and a money grab. but why would you put lots 50 feet from a four lane highway for a "camping trip"? wow I was so tired and unrested. the price should reflect the shitty sites they offer. The worst campground we have ever been to. We booked through Expedia, was told no deposit was needed at that time only to be charged a deposit a week later. Arrived at the campground around 4 on Saturday and noticed the site behind us was very damp. We just drove 9 hours so we weren't sure if it had rained or what so we brushed it off. We had to ask the family behind us to remove their stuff from our site. They had multiple sites around us and were also using ours since we hadn't arrived yet. We had to go to the office a few times to ask about the wifi, no one, not even the office manager, Kara could help us to get it to work. She actually gave us her log in to use the wifi. Then on Tuesday we were woke up at 7:30 to backhoes driving up on the site behind us where the water was. We got no notice of work that needed to be done. When we approached the office they informed us they didn't know it was going to be worked on that day. How do you not know what is going on with your campground? Then the fun really began. Scott, I guess he's the manager decided to come visit the site. Condescending isn't even the best word to describe this man. He kept talking over us as we were explaing the situation, told us it was all in our head that there was no foul smell, that these things just happen. Informed us there was a few leaks that needed to be repaired and that's why the work was being done. They shut off our water with no notice, and only turned it back on right before Scott came over to our site. When Scott left he told us if we wanted to move he would move us. Great, they tried to move us to the other side of the site that had the standing water. Nope not happening. Called the office after and they informed us the only cabin they had included a queen size bed, a full and a pull out couch. I have three kids, two smaller girls and a older boy... they can't be in the same bed. This is why we selected the cabin with the bunks. So we opted to go with the first cabin they offered on the other side of the standing water. Well after all the back and forth the cleaning crew was gone for the day... at 4:45. We asked why the cabin, that had been empty since Sunday hadn't been cleaned only to be told by Scott it was none of our business. We ended up staying in the original cabin to finish our trip since the only other option was to move that day and then again the next day. On Wednesday after a day of sight seeing we came back to see that they had spread hay over the site that had been dug up. The lack of communication, the level of ignorance from Scott and the basic amenities we paid for not being available are why we will never be back. The coin machine in the laundry room doesn't work, the pool table keeps the cue ball if you scratch so theres no point to the game, the kiddie pool was down for two days, the store closes at 5 so if you need fire wood or ice or if you want to play put put, your out of luck. We stayed in the Deluxe Cottages and were very disappointed. They look nothing like the pictures and are not worth the high cost

Stayed at Roundtop while at a nearby terrier trial. Although there are some nice sites, ours (265A) was definitely an afterthought. All gravel, which meant we couldn't set up our dogs' x-pen. Route 15 was about 100 feet away and very noisy with trucks all day and night. My husband stayed at the site while I was at the trial and although the weather was not bad while he sat outside to read, the noise was disturbing. The sewer hookup on our site was pretty much not usable as it was uphill from the site and the threads on the pipe were broken, so someone had to hold the hose while the other picked up a heavy hose to run the water down to the connector. Definitely poor planning! Luckily we were not staying around the campground for our final 2 days and pretty much stayed inside when we returned from sightseeing. We would have like to have sat outside in the evening with our dogs, but that was a no go (sharp gravel and noise). One positive was the friendly staff at check-in. We will look elsewhere if we camp in the area again. read more

We have been to this Campground many times and this was the worst experience we have ever had. We will never go back. Any Campground that let's grown men dressed as scary clowns chase six year old children with chainsaws is not a good place to be. Even though it was Halloween, I asked the man not to scare my granddaughter and he waited until I wasn't looking and came running behind us on our golf cart chasing us with a live real chainsaw and he was dressed as Pennywise. We were also very upset about the campsite that they gave us since it wasn't large enough for our camper. We told them about it but they didn't seem to care. We never could get our camper level and one of our outriggers broke because the ground gave way underneath of it. There was nothing for the children to do, since it was raining, and their playground is very limited. Again, if you're going to go to Gettysburg pick a different campground because this one doesn't even rate one star..! read more

My family & I stayed at Round Top Campground 8/15/19 -8/20/19 for an end of the summer mini-vacation and we had an awesome time. Although my son called it glamping, it was my idea camping/glamping trip. Our cottage was clean & comfortable & the staff was an absolute delight. We were able to bring our little dog Chloe, who seemed to enjoy herself as well. It was one of the most relaxing vacations we have experienced in a long time. We made new friends & will be returning! Find somewhere else to stay, even a parking lot of a Walmart would be better. The campground is connected to a mobile home park, the permanent camp sites are a mess with a variety of items stored on the sites that blow all over the place. The maintenance supervisor found it appropriate to use the F word to my 15 and 11 year olds. My kids were riding their bikes in the attached mobile home park on the paved roads. A resident of the mobile home park began to yell at them about trespassing. She also claimed that they were throwing around trash and smashing glass bottles. I know for a fact that my kids left empty handed. The kids returned to the site and told me what happened. Shortly later the kids where up at the arcade playing some of the games when the maintenance supervisor came in screaming that they had "F$#king seconds to come out and apologize to the mobile home residents". He also demanded to know what site the kids were on and that if they didn't do it he would throw their family out of the campground. The kids told him our site number and to avoid any other conflict apologized to the mobile home park residence. The boys immediately came down to the site and told me what had happen. I got in my vehicle and drove up to the store. As soon as I got out of my vehicle a gentleman who I soon found out was the maintenance supervisor asked me if he could help me. The boys were with me so he was well aware of who I was. I was rather annoyed that he used profanity's to my kids so I am sure he could tell I was less than amused. I asked him why he found it appropriate to curse at the kids and told him that if my kids needed to be talked to again that it would be done with a parent present. He quickly replied that he is tired of getting complaints from the permanent residence and that maybe I should do a better job at raising my kids. He then asked if I spoke to the park manager, which he knew I did not as he saw me exit my vehicle. He went to get the park manager. During this time the residence of the mobile home park were standing there. I asked them what my kids had done. The woman then said that they were trespassing in the mobile home park. She also said that she falsely accused them of littering and smashing bottles but now realized that she was mistaken and apologized to my kids for the false accusations. At this time the camp manager came out and asked if there was a problem. I told him that the misunderstanding between the kids and the mobile home park resident was taken care of but I did have an issue with the maintenance supervisor. I explained what had taken place. He told me that he didn't believe his maintenance manager would say that. He also had a conversation with the mobile home park resident to ask what the problem was. She again stated that the kids were trespassing to which he responded that the roads were public property. The mobile home park resident did state the the kids were on the road and did not go onto anyone's property. At this point the kids and I returned to the site. So other than the crappy interaction with the staff, which it was determined that the kids did not do anything wrong so I am not really sure how in suppose to do a better job of raising them. Otherwise, the showers were large and spacious. The pool was nice and clean. Our site was large but most were not. There was a water main break which I totally understand isn't something the campground has control over. The repair was made in a pretty timely manner. We did receive a boil water notice for the rest of the trip. There were loose dogs running about the campground. Dog owners would come out in their underwear and look for them. So in short, find somewhere else to go. I would not recommend this to anyone. read more

Have had several issues with them! Have had rocks in our water ever since we've been here in April, have asked them to fix it and I was asked we'll don't you have a filter on your rig and told they're going to fix it soon and nothing yet. Recently have had a problem with the well running out of water because they have too many people in campground using water. As a monthly they're suppose to mow my grass every week, I'm lucky if they come every two weeks, I always have to go ask to have them to mow. I'm sure the place is ok if your just going to stay for the weekend, but if you plan on being a full timer I wouldn't recommend it! read more

Go some place else. Tried to make a reservation on-line and after a week, sent an e-mail and they said I had to call them to 'complete' the reservation. Called them and they would only reserve a site for 3-days. We are travelling back to Ohio from DC and stopping in GB on the way back - only have 2 days. Lady was rude on the phone and would not make an adjustment for a 2 days. Went to another place and made a 2 day reservation, on-line, in less than 10 minutes. read more

Worst campground ever. Visited from 7/11-7/15/21. Poor layout, roads difficult to navigate and sites are packed like sardines in a can. Everyone is on top of each other. Barely any grass at our site, mostly gravel, but what was there wasn't even mowed. Lost water twice and no one ever notified us that it was going off or when it came back on. When I called the front office they seemed annoyed with my call and said they sent out texts. If I had gotten a text I definitely would not have needed to call the office. Amenities are run down except for the pool. Bath houses weren't even open. Our fire pit was so close to our camper we only had one little fire. We spent most of our time off site or inside the camper. Who wants to sit outside with your neighbors slide out in your face? Roads are narrow and poorly maintained. Green spaces weren't mowed. Hook ups for water, sewer and electric were so oddly placed on the site that it felt like they were in someone else's site. The only advantage was the closeness to town and historical sites. I will not recommend this campground or visit it again. Sad considering the high marks on Good Sam. read more

Nice campground with easy access to Route 15. Large swimming pool with plenty of seating around the pool. Campsites are good size with many full hook up sites some with cable. there are seasonal sites but the seasonal folks are very pleasant and neighborly. The staff are always smiling and helpful. Bathrooms are clean. For our noncamping friends there are camping cabins and deluxe cabins that are less than a nice hotel. Highly recommend for families with children of all ages. This Campground has very rude staff, who like to believe they are better than you. They also like to change policies and rules as they go. Office staff have no knowledge of things and give you an answer and then go and give you a whole other answer. Their fees are outrageous. Highest rates we have paid, other than California. $85 a night for 50 amp. $900/month. Absolutely ridiculous. The water goes off daily and they do not bother to tell you. Some full timers are nice, others are plain rude as well. This place needs a whole new set of staff members and some serious upgrading. Area of Gettysburg is beautiful Too bad such a dump exists. read more

Worst camping experience ever. We stayed in cottage 13 and we're appalled by the mouse feces throughout the place. We woke up this morning to feces all over the counter and in the sinks and on the floor. Our loaf of bread was chewed through. When we shared this with the woman at the front desk, she was appalled as well and wanted to compensate us with a free nights stay. Another woman working there informed us she caught a mole in that place and had set traps, she said she must be using the wrong peanut butter. I spoke with the manager, Chad Geffert, and he was very rude, didn't even apologize and denied that there ever was any issue in the cottage before and said moles live in the ground! He offered a 10% discount on our next stay.... .that's unacceptable. He was the most unprofessional man I've ever met and I feel very sorry for the woman who have to put up with his arrogant demeanor.whe. the problems at round top start with the manager. he is the worst ever. we have been there for 11 years and had what i thought was a minor issue due to their neglect some branches went through a brand new awning. i tried to negotiate a quick settlement since our lease was coming up. however chad was so extremely rude and uncaring, absolutley no use what so ever and lied to me on several occassions. he never returned any phone calls as promised and refused to give me the number for his boss. only the same stupid website that corrine g. got. they are also useless, and do not respond. after 11 years and treated like dirt we are pulling out. this clown is going to run this campground straight downhill, worse than it already is. he has no personality and is very arrogant. if anyone has the corp phone number please pass it on. he has no clue what he is doing. there is hardly any staff anymore, everyone is leaving.. read more
