Our neighbors were welcoming as well, and we really enjoyed walking around the property and seeing the animals. I don't know…read moreif I'm supposed to park horizontal or vertical or even which way I am supposed to face.Most sites have gravel. Mine is mostly mud and totally unlevel. The campground has many empty spots that would be more suitable. I called them to ask for help and Chris the manager came. He did not help me with the spot. Instead he told me my rig was against the law because it wasn't Rvia certified. He threatened to kick me out five times but wouldn't right now. He asked me how much I paid for my membership which is none of his business. I have a higher tier membership but regardless he informed me that thousand trails doesn't like to sell to people like me when we were discussing full time RVers. The final time he threatened me I said if you are going to kick me out then do it but you better kick everyone else out who isn't RVIA certified. Again he said he wouldn't right now and that he just wanted to educate me on the fact I was breaking the law. He noticed another van near me and told me to come with him while he checked her. I refused but later spoke with her and she was in tears when he got done with her. After he left I looked at my membership and not being certified isn't against the law. It is recommended but not required. Chris also informed me not to go to any other thousand trail park in PA because they wouldn't let me in. I don't know if that's true but something to keep in mind. I reached out to thousand trails about the situation and wanting to know if the managers were trained to treat "members like me" that are full time this way but it's been several days and they have not responded. In some of the other reviews I saw that 10 years ago the bathhouse was under construction in the no septic hook up area. It is still closed due to construction in 2026. Of all the TT I have been to this has been by far the worst experience. Chris even mentioned that his wife wouldn't even camp at a place like this because she prefers nicer ones. That spoke volumes about the property he manages.

It appears years ago there was gravel for parking and concrete walkways but these have all deteriorated and become mud during the rain. The road through is well paved. There are a few drive -through spots that are grassy but they're not level and hilly. Good WiFi. Clean bathroom. Many perm guests. Nothing for kids but a curious yet very dangerous looking rusted lean-to near the trash where a mattress has been for quite some time. Directly parallel to highway and truck retarders sound off 24/7 and shake your unit. Lots of garbage around. There is a 4:20 fire pit you can blaze up at daily. Good if you're in and out.

I live very near here and when I go on my walks I sometimes venture in here as the trail leads this…read moreway. I just happened to walk into the grounds a week or two ago and finally got a good look at them. I have been through here many times while on the Metro Bus and only get a glimpse. It is well used and not just in the warm months. There are always people here throughout the year. As expected, during the warmer months this place is packed. With the amount of things on property to do during those months, I can see why. There is minigolf, playgrounds, spray playground, and tons of walking trails. I also see the horse crossing signs along the road and trails through the area, so be aware of that. The only downside to this place, and it is of no fault to the owners, is the amount of traffic that passes by and may cause a bit of a hectic situation when it comes to entering and exiting. They have widened the road in front of the entrance to allow for a turning lane and an entrance lane to the road, but a lot of the people traveling the road seem to not understand that. I don't see the road widening any further until the brides that cross over I-495 are replaced and widened themselves.

It is really a park for tourists and families with kids. They have a rental ballroom which had non-campers racing through the park. The little train/tactor ride around the park stopped in front of our site beeping the train horn with people yelling as we were trying to cook. I don't need to be on someone elses vaction. They also allow golf carts with sound and light systems to race around the park blasting music and yelling. It was a different RV experience than we expected. Not a real RV or camping spot, but probably great for families on summer break.

We did know their policy that holiday weekends reservations were not refundable however we did feel like we contacted them well in time that they could of re-reserved our spot or even potentially kept our reservation but gave us the option to use it at a different time with credit. I understand policies, but I also think that in certain situations a business should be willing to try and work with you and they offered no flexibility. We feel like we've been put in a very tough situation, but a lesson learned and probably a campground that we will not visit again.

Nothing fancy, but it has hot water, a counter and roof. No issues with late check-in, and the tent sites seem pretty well shaded. Also, the tent pads were good, plenty large enough and made of sand. Some of the sites seemed a little close, but they tried to keep a little vegetation between them.

A typical weekend includes a variety of activities such as an outdoor movie, maybe a live band, some sort of contest, perhaps a golf cart race or a chili cook-off. Then there are the usual weekly items like horseshoes, cornhole and bingo. Ms. Deb always has activities for the kids and LeAnn is very involved with the Make A Wish foundation and her annual auction. Jaron (the manager) is a workaholic and a huge personality who you can't help but love. Unlike many campgrounds these guys don't have their hand out around every corner trying to nickel and dime you to death. Activities are included in your site rental. I originally went for one week, then decided to leave my motorhome there for the month and I now have a seasonal site.
