Stumbled into this gem while adventuring through Round Top whilst starving, looking for a bite to eat and they did not disappoint. You order right at the bar (which is kinda fun because you get to peek at all the drink options). Inside is a little tight, not gonna lie but they've got a solid outdoor setup with plenty of seating. Looks like they even have fire pits, which I'm sure hits different when you've got time to hang and sip a few. Even though it was busy, service moved pretty quick and everyone was still friendly, which I always appreciate. And the food? So good. The tuna nachos came out looking all colorful and pretty, but the flavor combo is what really stole the show. Definitely a spot I'd swing back to next time I'm in Round Top. read more

We were in Round Top with our pals for a few hours before heading over to see some Shakespeare at Winedale. It was hot out and stores were staring to close, so we came here for some drinks and food to escape the heat. Of the several times that we've been to Round Top, we had never been to Round Top Brewing and were pleasantly surprised...by everything. The spot is cute and cozy--nothing fancy and plenty of charm that isn't too forced. We ordered food and drinks at the bar and then sat in their indoor patio area (no A/C but tolerable circulation with the fans). They make their own beer, and we both enjoyed the kolsch that we stuck with for the evening. As far as food, we shared a giant pretzel and our daughter got a plain pizza. The pizza is that cardboardesque version, but it was edible. The pretzel was decent, but definitely a frozen-to-oven situation. What we *do* want to shout out is the mustard it came with. It was SO good. We asked if it was homemade, and it allegedly was: so spicy and nasal-clearing and tasty. The mustard alone is what is pushing up from 3 stars to four! Bottom line: nothing crazy special, but a good place with friendly folks working and decent food and drink. Prices are consistent with the area, and it's certainly better than Mandito's and it beats the chaos of Royer's. We won't be back, but we're glad we tried it. read more

So I took my mom Here for her birthday. I needed to get her out of the house and the other place we were wanting to go to was closed so we stopped here. I was pleasantly surprised at how good the food was here. We ordered spinach dip, queso, ahi tuna nachos (which were my favorite), wings, and a bbq pork sandwich. We had Mexican cokes to drink. The food came out fast and fresh and looked and tasted great. My least favorite part of this meal was the chips, they were not very salty at all and I am not a big salt person. I hardly ever add salt to my dishes. Place was cute and clean and service was friendly. I would definitely stop here again. If not for something else definitely for the ahi nachos. read more

What a discovery. We wanted to take a day trip from Houston and Round Top was a perfect spot. I was looking for a brewery and this one came up as we arrived. We sat at the Bar top and had wonderful service from Reiny and staff. The Beers were delicious and the Turkey Wrap was also delicious. Most of the experience was self-serve, menus, napkins, drinks, and utensils, this does give it a "fast food" vibe. There were also only four menus available, apparently I could only take three for our party of four. Regarding "ask for help before you Yelp," I did ask for help during our visit, but it didn't improve the situation. Reviews reflect the experience as it actually happened. Usually, by the time one asks for help, it is already too late. All that has been described in my review. Since we were paying customers and the prices are not particularly low, I expected a higher level of service and food regardless of staffing, events, or kitchen limitations. read more

The thin crust pizza is fantastic, the increíble pozole is always a highlight, and of course the beers never disappoint. You can really tell they care about quality and don't skimp on anything. We always include this as a stop when we come through town. The bar crew is great. The food is really good. We enjoy sitting at the bar, but there's a variety of seating options and it never feels too crowded. Watch the dumb waiter, scope out what other folks are eating before deciding for yourself. Okay, so there are only a handful of restaurants here in Round Top and the other "good" place always requires a reservation so why not listen to me and come here instead?! I started with some queso dip and OMG I will drive to RT just for this! And I had the most delicious shrimp taco on the planet! Perfectly grilled shrimp with different salsas and cheese and big flour tortilla! Mr. G had some kind of Braut and his favorite IPA brewskie. I opted for a glass of vino and a cute little live band to go with it. Nothing fancy but "I'm telling you right now" it's worth the drive! Beer selection is excellent- something for everyone. I highly recommend the Juicy Boots IPA. We ordered pork tacos and they were some of the best we've had in years. Outstanding. Service is order at the bar and find a seat. Venue is relaxed and comfortable. Felt good to get out of the heat and also eat something so delicious. OMG! What a wonderful surprise! I haven't been to Round Top since this opened. The beer is wonderful & the DUCK TACO blew my mind! I was happily shocked at how much meat was on it. The toppings did not overwhelm the duck. My S.O. got the pulled pork sandwich. He said that the meat was juicy & the BBQ sauce was "so flavorful & just WOW!". We shared the chips & queso & it was super yummy as well. The bartender gave us generous pours to sample the beer. We loved the windows that looked out upon the town. There is plentiful outdoor seating & even a fire pit. They did not have it going tonight, but it might have been too early. Manditos next door had no one in the parking lot. RTB is why. Great little spot! Super cozy ambiance with plenty of indoor seating as well as patio seating (with a fire pit and live music). The food comes down from upstairs via dumbwaiter which is a nice touch. Yummy food. The duck confit taco was FANTASTIC. I highly recommend that one. The shrimp taco was really good too but the duck stole the show! I also loved that they had a small $5 side salad on their menu (when you want to pig out on tacos but also feel sort of healthy by eating a salad on the side). I particularly loved that they used mixed greens (much more nutritious than the usual romaine or iceberg). Friendly staff. read more

We visited Round Top Brewing while in the area visiting with friends. This brewery is located in a small local town and you are definitely greeted with wonderful hospitality. The beers are delicious and while we visited there was live music playing outside. Such a nice touch to enjoy a beer outside on the patio while listen to great music! There was plenty of indoor and outdoor seating, as well as plenty of parking was on the side street. We look forward to future visits to Round Top the next time we're in town! read more

We've been here at least 3 times now since December and have been waiting to try an actual brew made in house, but naturally, supply chain delays have impacted their ability to brew in house. No fear, its a bit more of a brew-pub at this point. The deviled eggs are definitely better than expected, with a good selection of other munchies. The bar and inside are so cozy and exactly what you'd expect in a brew pub. Lots of seating, but definitely not designed for a big crowd/large group. Each visit has been on a beautiful sunny day which means you can take advantage of the equally nice patio. Tons of great seating and a few fire pits/propane heaters out there. The craft beer selection is among the better ones out there, especially for a small town in Texas. Avery, Odell, and a few notables from across the country are available either on draft or in a can. read more

An Incredible Culinary Experience at a Comfortable Place If you take anything from this review, just know that the food is above average and the environment is so comfortable. You can easily spend hours here with friends. Great Patio space. There's corn hole, a fire pit, and lots of outdoor seating. Everything I tried was good. I kept wanting to order things even though I wasn't hungry anymore. It was that good. Let's talk about the things I tried: Duck Confit Tacos: okay, WHAT THE DUCK ... (these tacos were so ducking good...) the duck is juicy and tender with a nice flavor, and the toppings have their own unique flavor, from the guacamole to the spicy sauce and fried shallots. They got everything everything right with these tacos. Not to dry or too soggy, and each taco is put together in an artistic way. It's almost too beautiful to eat, but let's not get crazy! You gotta try it. (If I had to pick one thing off the menu, it would be this.) Crawfish Crostini: Im pretty sure that's What it was called. It was a special for the day. It was really delicious. Kind of like 4 mini crawfish pizzas on a plate. If you are a pizza fan like me, and also like crawfish... maybe this is for you. Pulled pork sandwich on a pretzel bun. This is really good. The pork is tender and I am a huge fan of the vinegar based slaw (obviously made in house. Tasted very fresh!) I focused on the food, but my group did enjoy the beers they had there.
