where is the review I put in two days ago? Why is not not viewable? As I said 2 days ago and many times before, this is the BEST Round Table Pizza in CA, and the BEST pizza in the USA! I've been all over the US in travels and always stop for pizza. NOBODY compares to MADERA Round Table. The crust is perfect, the sauce is perfect, the amount of toppings is perfect. YES, as in all restaurants, there are days when someone makes a mistake. You won't find a single place IN THE WORLD that doesn't have that issue. But the success rate in Madera Round Table is at a high 99.999%! I have now moved to Fresno, and I have to say, I haven't found any pizza joint that comes close to the Madera Round Table. Round Table Pizza has been in Madera for years. The staff and owner are are always nice, friendly, and have great customer service. I have been going there for years especially since it is the only pizza place in town with a game room to keep my children busy. Round Table has always been a tremendous supporter of local schools community sports and organizations. The restaurant is completely remodeled and looks absolutely amazing and is always clean. I have traveled all over the West Coast and other areas and have eaten at Round Table Pizza in all the places that have them. I can say without a doubt this Round Table is by far the best one in EVERY ASPECT.... It has no equal in the quality of there pizza and staff anywhere I have been not even close. Whenever I eat at a different one Iam always wishing I was eating at the MADERA ROUND TABLE PIZZA. The way they help the community is also another way they surpass other Round Table Pizza restaurants. It just DOESNT get any better... Sometimes there is a bit of a wait for your pizza but only because it is so dang good and everyone knows it. If you think ahead a bit any wait can be avoided.My advice is to call in your order on the way to restaurant and they will have it ready when you arrive... Easy Peasy...So Awesome read more

Round Table has been a staple family pizza restaurant in Madera for years. I've always enjoyed eating there in the past before I moved out of town and would always stop back in upon visiting family in Madera. The staff has always been courteous and professional and the food never disappoints. Quality of ingredients is top tier and consistent. Prices are reasonable and comparable to the quality of product you get. Bill the owner is a great and generous man who's passion for his business has clearly showed throughout the years. My family has been going here for years. The food is fine, and quality is usually good. I'm writing because lately the staff has seemed careless. They've messed up our takeout orders (usually in minor ways that aren't worth the drive back or a complaint) quite a few times. A couple wrong toppings on a pizza usually. (No food allergies in our house so not a big concern) Today, when I was picking up and order my father placed, the staff seemed confused and distracted . After I paid, two separate people asked me what my order consisted of (pizza, wings, breadsticks)before assembling it. When I got all three items I left, 10 minutes later they called and said they had given me the wrong pizza and asked me to come back. I hadn't realized my dad ordered a large and not the medium they had given me. I drove back fifteen minutes and showed them the wrong pizza. The lady behind the counter took back the wrong pizza and handed me the new one with a meek apology. Then she proceeded to ask me again if I had the rest of my order. I hope when they took the wrong pizza back they didn't give it to anyone else, but with how distracted the staff seemed and how much they were all just goofing around in the empty restaurant I am worried that could be something that happened. As stated above, the food tastes fine. It's a chain pizzeria that tastes like a chain pizzeria. But the staff being careless, especially on a quiet night, is a little concerning. Double check all your orders before leaving with a takeout pie. read more

I, along with serveral colleagues frequent this location at least once or twice a week. We typically will get the salad bar, that is $5.39 which included a large take out container for salad, a drink and bread sticks. A great deal if you ask me. Last week, a couple of us went in to have the salad bar, they changed the size of the container. It is now smaller, at the same price of $5.39. I have never complained about the unprofessionalism in this particular establishment until today. The ladies who work the front counter never smile, always rude, never personable and all around lack in customer service. They make it a point to finish what they are doing, such as restocking, Finish a conversation with a co-worker, before even greeting the customer. The salad bar, always has brown lettuce, never stocked for customer convenience, and we always have to ask and wait for the bread sticks. Don't get me started on cleanliness. You might wonder why we kept going into this place, well, it's close to the office, and really, aside from the salad bar being dirty, it's 75% decent. Not now, over the last several weeks, it has gradually gotten worse. Especially the customer service. A colleague and I went in for lunch today, as we were preparing our salads, an employee in the kitchen asked the front clerk if the "old man" had ordered anything. Yes, my colleague may be in his 50's, but come on, you do not address a paying customer nor do you talk about one in such a manner. As the front clerk giggles about it. Extremely rude and unprofessional. Needless to say, we will not be visiting this particular establishment again. read more

I have always liked their pizza. In fact my elderly now deceased Mother had her wedding reception there when she remarried nearly four years ago. Unfortunately I opted to use my cell phone to place my delivery order and must not have done something right as an hour and half later it had still not arrived. I called and they had no record of my order. I drove over and they rushed my new oder through. They were polite, sympathetic and even asked about my stepfather. I jokingly said he was at home and hungry. The pizza was itself was perfect. No complaints there. read more

Absolutely love their lunch specials! The personal pizza, salad, and fountain drink for under $9 is a steal! One con, it gets supper packed during lunch and it can be quite a wait if you don't get there before 11:30am. Not to mention that after lunch hour the salad bar is pretty messy. So be there early if your work permits it is my advice. read more

Last night was by birthday and I decided to order from Round Table, stay at home, and just slob out. I called in the order and my husband went to pick it up. We ordered a large combo and some wings. They said it was still in the oven when he got there but when he got it home (which is only a block away) it was cold. OK The dough was raw the sauce was nasty and the wings........oh the wings...........the skin was full of fat and they too weren't cooked very well. I DON'T THINK I WILL BE ORDERING FROM THEM AGAIN! I've been going to this Round Table since High school, over 20 years. The owner, Bill, is amazing and his restaurant shows it. Not only is the pizza the best in town, it has a friendly neighborhood feel and the employees are always welcoming! Bill has done so much for the community of Madera and Round Table pizza gets the notoriety for it! I've been to other Round Table pizzas in the Fresno/Clovis area and none compare to this one! I had worked in the food business for a long time. This place has the cleanest kitchen in any restaurant I've ever seen. The manager ladies are on top of things when it comes to sanitation. I worked here long ago and have worked at other R.T. 's after (with much better experiences). As for Madera's Round Table, I can say even though it has been nearly 20 years, is that I have never had to deal with customers like the ones here. You have the holier than thou types "I know Bill" -s and to be flat out spit at and threatened when the beloved salad bar is closed at 9:30 pm on a weeknight. If you choose to eat here on a Friday or Saturday night YES! the wait time will be 45 minutes or longer. THIS IS NOT A FAST FOOD JOINT! and YES it is expensive! Please don't abuse these workers. They already put up with Madera's worst. Go eat at some other place that has a grimey filthy kitchen and shorter wait time that will honor your expired coupon. I write this because I see that things here have not changed. I see the folks that have "threatened" (oh please) they will never come back again- Come back! yes they DO! Good pizza, lousy service, I ordered a large pizza for my family at 7.30 pm on a Sunday, they told me the delivery time was gonna be an hour and a half!!! Are u kidding me? That's flat out ridiculous . No one in Madera has that time restraint. It was unbelievable. Obviously , I went to pick it up. 20 mins, but what a disservice and inconvenience and to say the least a waste of time. I only go back because of the great tasting pizza but service is well off the mark. I know round table will still do a lot of business because of their involvement in the Madera community. But if this business concept was a catapult to start a new business it would surely fail. I know the owner probably doesn't read yelp or it would surely change for the better and it hasn't . This is not the first time this time delay has happens to me. I don't know why I do it to myself. They say insanity is doing the same things over and over and expecting a different result. The manager on duty was very rude. I have never experienced such lack of customer service in my life. I ordered three pizzas at 7:29 over the phone for carry out I was told that it would take 30 to 35 minutes I entered the business at 8:15 my pizzas were not even made yet. I was told 5 more minutes I asked to talk to manager. when she spoke to me she was very rude and demands that I pay for the pizzas before they are made. Are you kidding me? I pay for the pizzas and wait for 15 minutes. As she "the manager" was making my pizzas she was making rude comments and I felt that she did something to my pizzas, so I asked for my money back. I feel that she did something to my pizza that was unhealthy. I am reporting this to the health department. I would not want this to happen to anyone else. I love the food, I eat there regularly. I've read other reviews on their site & these other people must have been to a dif. RT than the one I & my family went to or they are employees. We had a birthday party there and the whole evening all we got was overcooked, dried out, no flavor pizzas and it was fairly expensive as well, esp. considering what we got. We left 2.5 pizzas there untouched and noone in our party would even take them home....incl. the kids. The salad bar is nothing special of course we don't go out for pizza and frequent the salad bar anyway, but some of the adults at our kid's party did. They thought it overpriced and slim pickins.Maybe it was just the crew that night. Since then we have been going to Gambini's pizza near the save mart on Howard road-great pizza so far. We've gone twice and we and our kids have been impressed. In all fairness to R.T. Pizza, our experience was last summer and maybe things have improved since then or as I said, they had an off night. THEN the wait is TERRIBLE! everytime I go I wait 45+ minutes just for 1 or 2 pizzas! that's ridiculous!
