Tonight, November 21, 2025, I ordered pizzas for pick up. Order number 5039. As I was waiting for my order to finish, I saw my order placed on the shelf. The young lady looked into the pizza boxes, picked both boxes up, and instead of handing my order to me, took my order back to the table where they cut and box your pizza. The young lady said the order was wrong. Two guys opened the small pizza box and began using their unprotected fingers to pick off the onions. This took several minutes to remove the onions. The young lady then walked out from the kitchen to hand me my pizzas. I told her I would not accept the pizza because I saw what they did. I said, "Why would I accept a pizza after it's cooked and employees use their hands to pick off onions?" I later spoke to a guy who said he was in charge, who never introduced himself or provided his name. I asked him what their protocol was when a pizza is made wrong. He replied they remake it. I said, "Exactly, not cool what your team did." He replied they probably didn't want to remake it. I said, "You all have to go through training for food handler certification--you should know this." Going in with low expectations, I was very pleasantly surprised with this location! The restaurant was very clean and tidy, with a modern look and feel. The cashier was very kind and pleasant, taking my order quickly and efficiently. She showed a lot of competence and knew her job very well. Food was prepared and delivered to our table timely. The wait staff was friendly and took the opportunity to check up on us when possible. The food was immaculate, the wings were flavorful and far superior to places like wing stop or BWWs. This was first time here at this location. I normally don't care for Round Table's pizza, but their pizza today was really good. We had combination and pepperoni pizzas. Both pizzas had the perfect amount of toppings and just enough cheese and sauce. We were here for a Birthday party, the staff accommodated whatever we needed. They reserved the side of the restaurant for us and we were all able to be together. The staff here were very nice and got whatever we needed right away. They have a small little game area. The kids had a good time. 1 game was 25 cents, 2 games, were $1.00 and the rest were 50 cents. You have to get a playing card (no cost). Each game is by points. All you have to do is waive your card and the games will start after you load the card with cash or credit card. The kids earn points to redeem for prizes that stays on the card. To redeem, they have to download an app. The bathrooms were a little messy. There was water and paper all on the ground. I let one of the staff know, they were quick to go clean it. I'm unsure when the place opened, but everything looks pretty new and clean. We would come back here when we are in the Madera area. They have wings that look amazing. I definitely will check out a Round Table soon to try those. read more

Roundtable is very consistent, whether I've gotten it in Madera or where I live now in LA, but this order tonight was the most non-Roundtable pizza I've ever had! The flavor of the crust is very distinct and tonight tasted nothing like Roundtable. The toppings seemed less quality as well. We ordered a King Arthur's, a Hawaiian and a double play. If you'd have blindfolded me I would have thought it was a different pizza place. It made me very sad because I LOVE Roundtable! Such a terrible experience! I called to order in for to-go and found myself on hold for 5 minutes before I could even place the order. I arrived at the expected ready time and was told it would be another 10 minutes. Staff were rude, short with customers, and preferred to hide in the kitchen even when they had customers asking for help at the register. Tables were left dirty and unclean with cleaning supplies out in the open. And wait times were unforgivable. One family waited over an hour for their orders of wings! My order didn't come out until over 30 minutes after I was promised it would be ready. Turns out it had been sitting in the warmer most of the time losing freshness and going stale. Round table messed up tonight. Whoever took my order over the phone was definitely high or falling asleep. He was not there at all it was kinda rude man. Anyway we ordered a delivery but over an hour went by and it never showed. We called them and the same guy answered and then puts me on hold after I asked where the order is. When they pick back up it's a manger and he's super nice and he's all apologetic when he tells us that the order was placed as pick up. So he offered to remake everything and rush it out and I'm like alright thanks at least it's still on the way. Also he took off the delivery fee which was nice. As a local high school coach who loves a good meal morning, noon or night I really appreciate one of our great establishments in Madera. Round Table Pizza not only baked off some of the best tasting pizza in the Valley but also delivers a variety of other culinary delights (cinnamon twists and chocalate pudding!) I simply love the lunch brunch and the hospitality is top shelf. The cleanliness is refreshing and the value for my hard earned dollars is spectacular. But above everything else that I mentioned the one element that stands above all is the genuine concern and heartfelt donations that Round Table continually gives to our local sports and local cause marketing programs. I give a large two thumbs up to Round Table and all of it's hard working employees for standing tall and delivering much needed assistance to our local athletic programs. They offered to give me the 3rd pizza in credit and only give me the 2. I told them no I want the 3 pizzas that I ordered. They said it would be an additional 20-25 minute wait. How ridiculous. This is not my first time here but this is the first time I've had to wait 45 minutes before they put my order in the oven. The store was nearly empty when I came in at 6:00 pm. There were only a few order tags hanging on the make line. But when we asked at 35 minutes about the status of our order the cashier said about fifteen minutes. I explained I've worked in several pizza stores over the years, it's less than two minutes to stretch-sauce-top a pizza, and it's only about 8 minutes or less through the oven. He shrugged. It never fails and I need to learn not to be desperate for pizza. Every stinking time we order a Pepperoni Pizza on original crust, they have HUGE bubbles on the pizza. There are huge gaps between pizza sauce, cheese and dough. You're truly only getting a small pizza when you order a medium. Also, the dough rises too high and it ends up too bread for the original style. I even went and asked if they changed their dough or methods and she told me it was bread heavy because it's fresh. The pizza crust is just right, not too greasy, and they're ridiculous when it comes to how much they put on for the toppings. I know that doesn't fly w/everyone but I love it that way. Possibly the worst RTP I have ever had the misfortune of eating. I grew up on RTP, I had such a rep for calling in at the same time every Friday to the one on Colorado Ave. in Palo Alto that all I had to say was "this is ****" and they'd respond "See you in 15 minutes ****". They knew my order, you can imply that I liked their pizza. This was horrible. A small thick-crust pepperoni pizza and it came out with the cheese looking like someone was trying to paint a Dali-Clock version of a pizza. While visually unappealing, this is pizza, it needed to be judged on taste. It failed that test as well. It tasted just as bad as it looked, drooping everywhere, saggy no actual pizza flavor, just a mess of ingredients all lazy slopped together. To be fair, there were two party groups getting started, but their orders were in after mine were. There were only two small families that ordered before me. No way this place was too busy to make a quality pizza, they just obviously don't care. My recommendation is to drive to the better rated one in Fresno, I guess. read more

My most recent encounter with Round Table Pizza in Madera, California was terrible. My family has visited this restaurant many times since the mid 1990s and, until today June 26, 2021, it has always been a positive experience. Today, both my 8 year old granddaughter and I entered this store as it was just opening and asked to use the restroom. Even though there were no customers in the restaurant at this time the employee we asked said we could not use them as we were not customers. I explained that I was a 69 year old man dealing with medication issues that made my bladder unpredictable and that my granddaughter was 8 years old and couldn't wait to get home to go. The employee said that she would have to check with her manger first. Rather than prolong the ordeal, I asked to speak with the manager myself. My granddaughter and I waited outside the restaurant for the morning shift manager's arrival. When the manager showed up her demeanor was not pleasant and dripped with "attitude" about how dare I ask to speak with her or question her bathroom policies, We were again denied the restroom usage and the manager then stated the restaurant was in fact closed (though the lights were on, employees were present, and the front doors were unlocked. Also, there were no signs visible to me indicating that the establishment was closed). Finally, she smirked at us and said, "Besides, you're not customers." At that juncture, she spun her back toward us and literally marched back into the restaurant as though she were Prussian Field Marshall. My granddaughter and I went down the the street to a "user friendly" Mac Donald's and used their restroom facilities. It never ceases to amaze me how quickly a thoughtless, emotionally stunted employee can destroy a hitherto positive business relationship that had existed for over twenty years, I will spend no more money with this Round Table Pizza Restaurant and would not recommend this pizza establishment to any of my friends or family in the Madera, California area. read more

Love round table pizza!!!! I order online and subscribe to online/email discounts. There has been a couple time orders take way......longer then expected. My tip if you order online: call them to see how the order is going. There has been times where they call me to let me know that 30 min window they automatically give you online.....will actually take them longer. Which I so appreciate. Customer service is great I always feel like I'm taken care of. If I have to wait a drink is always offered. I order salad bar to go and I am offered breadsticks to go too.
