This review is for Tuesday, January 7th. I was on my way to my friend's house & ordered a Mountain Pikes Place pizza through the app. Arrived at promised ready time but had to wait 30 minutes because they were having problems with their ovens. Not sure if the man at the register was manager or owner, but he was trying his best to move fast and get everyone's orders to them as quickly as possible. He kept checking in with me and apologizing for the wait. It's understandable that unexpected things happen so I remained patient. At the end he gave me a free pizza and a free 2 liter soda to go with my order. That was very kind of him and very appreciative of his customer service. I use to go to mountain Mike's, all the time for pizza. The last time I got a pizza from them was Valentine's Day. It was the wrong pizza, I called and told them. The manager offered me a free one, but we live 20 minutes away. So he said he would put a free one under my name and number. When I called to order they would not honor the free one. My boyfriend and I decided to have a quick lunch at Mountain Mikes Pizza on 10/03/2017 (So far I've been saying a Magic Mikes due to the similar names). We got here around 12:05pm and they have a nice lunch buffet special for $6.99 per person unlimited salad, pizza and drinks. You definitely cannot beat that. This place was semi empty but by the time we were sitting and munching on our food about 20 people were in enjoying their lunch buffet. The workers were very friendly and the food was delicious. The only negative aspect of this place is that the limited choices on pizza they basically only had three pizzas available and I barely got a slice. However, 15 minutes they did bring out more people due to the crowd. My guess is that they usually do not have a lot of people coming all at once for their lunch special but they did eventually have more than enough pizza. The options for pizza and I say I was surprised of how tasty it was which was the Bacon Chicken pizza it was so yummy. The best pizza at their restaurant. I really didn't like the others due to it having meat on it but the cheese pizza and jalapeño pizza was good but spicy and I LOVE SPICY too much for me. They had ham and pineapple which I was never a favor of mixing my fruits with cheese and bread. I will be coming back when I crave their pizza. I highly recommend the one with Bacon and Chicken Ranch it was so yummy. Abysmal service from someone who stated they were the manager and threatened my wife with calling the police! Last night on 10/31/2021, my wife and I ordered a pizza from this location using the DoorDash app like we normally do well before 730 pm and immediately called the location to clarify our request to not have pizza sauce on the pizza because the application does not allow for such a request on their platform. The call taker repeated my request to confirm over the phone and had no problem understanding my order and we stated we would like to have it ready by 730pm. When my wife arrived an hour after our scheduled pick up time however, she noticed the pizza was made using pizza sauce. She informed the personnel working at that time (900pm) and they stated the pizza was made that way after ordering. My wife again explained that we had called and spoke to someone about no sauce on our pizza and would like it made the way we requested. The female we spoke over the phone and a male worker who stated they were a "manager" told her they would be refusing to honor our request and that they had called the number used to place the order several times but with no answer. She explained to them that we received no phone calls and that when we had called we specifically asked for this type of pizza. She asked to speak to the manager's manager or a corporate number to call and complain to and the "manager" stated there is no one above him and she would have to speak to him and only him as well as denying a corporate or complaint number to my wife. The supposed manager went back and forth with my wife while i was on the phone and threatened her with calling the police and that she needed to get out of the store! I will NEVER order from this location again, and I am in the process of addressing this with the appropriate channels. We were able to get the 2 workers names after they reluctantly gave it to us. This experience was degrading to my wife and family and a damn shame that it is allowed to operate in this manner. Disgusting service. read more

I placed an order online and online it states that the delivery time frame would be 60 minutes. I placed the order at 2:34pm and 3:48pm I called to see how much longer would it be and the employee that answered stated that it would be a few more minutes because the delivery driver was already on their way. I called again 4:06 and was told that the delivery driver barely left with it. I asked them why was I given the wrong information the first time I called and the employee just kept cutting me off and told me that it was already on its way. I just decided to hang up. Pretty good pizza I must say, I think this is one of the best pizza places in Madera. Good sauce, crust and toppings. The pepperoni pizza- I call grease cup pizza, you can imagine why I am sure lol it is good though. This location has good customer service and the employees keep the restaurant clean. The delivery times are average. Mountain Mike's does offer a lunch buffet Mon-Fri 11-2pm and I believe a night time buffet one day a week, I cannot remember which day that is though. The price for the lunch buffet with a drink is $9.75, decent size and clean salad bar with fresh toppings. The pizza keeps coming out fresh during the lunch buffet, all kinds- from combination, ham and pineapple, pepperoni etc. They also bring out jalapeño garlic and cheese bread. If you have kids and are dining in there are arcade games and win a prize machines. There is also a private room you can reserve if you have a party or event. If I could leave zero stars, I would. We had family over, ordered the pizza, and according to the online order were promised the pizza would be delivered by 6:30 p.m. That sure in the hell didn't happen. At about 6:50 p.m, wife called to get an update on the status. According to the staff, the delivery driver was on their way. At 7:30 p.m. she called back again to get another update on the status. The worker said the delivery driver had other deliveries too, and put a manager on the phone. All the manager did, was try to make up excuses. Stay away from this one! First off, the lunch buffet has doubled in price, they only put out 2 kinds of pizza. The buffet starts at 11:00am but the pizza didn't come out till 11:30. They moved the arcade games to the main dining room, so you can't have a nice dinner or lunch because the arcade games and screaming children and or adults are 3 feet from the dining tables. Came in and noticed paint smelt fresh, and the manager walked the new employee through the ordering process, did not know however it was the first day of business until they told me I was the first customer.
