A big thumbs up for this La Mesa Blvd location for its customer service. The food here is also great. But I was impressed after a bad experience with the El Cajon/Rancho San Diego location's customer service. The person from the La Mesa Blvd location who took my phone order was cordial, patient and efficient. And what seemed like the owner was very nice when I picked up my order. It was several pizzas and a couple of other food items and it seemed that he was very appreciative for the large order. He offered my granddaughter and I a drink on the house and when I thanked him he said " no, thank you!". Wow, what a difference from the El Cajon location who told me basically that he was too busy to take my phone order, was very rude, impatient and made a racist remark. So the treatment I got at the La Mesa Blvd location was like night and day. They appreciated my large order. I have had many bad pizzas during my life but this and Little Caesars tops it. This place is the definition for commercialized factory pizza. When eating the pizza you can tell that the ingredients are not fresh just by taste. The food isn't the worst part of the experience though. The customer service is just as bad as the food. There is know one cleaning off tables so finding a clean table on a busy night is harder than you would think. I was going to rate this 2 out of 5 stars until I walked into the bathroom and got slapped in the face with the smell of ancient medieval urine. I ordered a half/ half pizza because it was just me and my son and lemon pepper wings. I asked that the wings be cooked extra crispy because they were rubbery in the past . Both the pizza and the wings came incorrect. The wings were basically PINK in the middle. The pizza was undercooked to the point in which it was not edible as well they put anchovies on the pizza and I never asked for anchovies. Hadn't had their pizza before but went ahead and ordered for delivery. Pan crust, mushrooms, sausage and pepperoni. Estimated delivery seemed long but we figured ok, hopefully good pizza. Well, by far the worst pizza I've ever had. All the ingredients were bunched up in the middle leaving about 2" of bare crust around the outside. Didn't see any sign of extra cheese at all. This is the worst business I have ever dealt with. The Decour is dirty and aged, the entertainment for the children rarely works and there are never refunds given for quarters taken at the broken games. I have given this place several chances because my kids love round table and it is the closest one and only one that delivers to our house. I have gone there on seven different occasions and every single time the lackluster and empathetic workers have gotten my order wrong . We have actually sat and watched them give our food to other people and the people started eating it and realized it wasn't theirs and the server tried to give the food back to us. The owner/manager is Arabic or Mediterranean and sits there and goes over the receipts and payroll for the day at the end of the shift at night and yells at the workers as they walk out the door and My kids have been frightened at his boisterous outburst several times.I have seen food dropped on the floor and put back on serving trays I have seen utensils dropped out of the salad bar and put back into the salad bar and when I complain they just wipe them off with a napkin. I get trying to save on overhead but this place is ridiculous. The final straw came tonight May 26, 2020. I ordered a pizza and wings at 7:30 PM and was told it would be at my home for delivery in 25 to 30 minutes. So , at 8:40 PM I called asking to know where my pizza was and they said, Sorry we are closed. I said wait a minute I ordered a pizza over an hour ago and I never got it. The person on the phone said it's been delivered . I said it has not been delivered and they said oh we are delivering right now it'll be there in five minutes what's your address? I had given the girl took my order the address and I could hear the guy looking through the orders and telling someone that there is no such address for delivery or take out. I asked to talk to the owner manager because I knew he was sitting right there. He got on the phone and started telling me that they had some problems with the manager tonight and we're closing early because they were "spraying tonight "" ,(gross by the way)! I realize that the order had not been put in correctly and I told him I wanted a refund and the owner assured me that it was out for delivery and would be at my home in five minutes. At 9:08 I called and the phone rang for several minutes before somebody picked it up and said sorry we're closed and hung up. I continue to call until someone answered and I said I'd like to know what happen with my pizza I would like to get a refund. The man on the phone said were closed and hung up again. I called back a fifth time and said I wanna speak to the owner/manager I could hear him sitting there talking. I was told that he was not here that they were having a problem with their manager and taking orders this evening. I said that I wanted a refund for my pizza I had ordered and not gotten and I was hung up on. I called back and demanded to speak to the owner/manager and he finally got on the phone and started going through excuses number one they never got the order number two I never paid for it number three it had been delivered to the wrong house number four it was on the way. I told him look I just want a refund for my pizza that I did not get it is pending in my account I want it refunded immediately. The owner/manager told me sorry we're already done with the books for the night I can't do that tell you what I'll give you something free at another date how is that? I do not understand how this business is still open other than they have a monopoly on being the only round table in the area. This is a very unprofessional fly by night business and I hope they go under or sell to someone who knows how to run a business correctly. I will never use this Location again. Im sure they do not care but they have lost loyal customers and I will let all of my contacts know to avoid this place in the future. read more

This is a good, local place to go. It is not the neatest place in the world, but there is a small salad bar, a jukebox (that is normally a little too loud), and some games up front for the kids, or kids at heart. In addition to the food, they serve beer, wine (white or red--those are really the choices), and Pepsi products. read more

This is the place to be at, managers are chill, the owner is so humble he appreciates everyone that comes in. Not to mention the food is probably the best you'll ever taste, I recommend the Maui zaui with poly sauce it's a great twist on a Hawaiian pizza. I highly recommend this place for party's, club Meetings, anything where you could need a large group of people to enjoy a nice pizza pie. Cool thing is they host fund raisers and promote little league, basketball leagues , softball, football you name it! this is the first time I ordered a pizza in this place and unfortunately I had a really bad experience. The guy on the phone was pretty nice but I told him that I needed a pizza for 5 people so he told me the it would had been a large pizza and the cost was 23.99$. It gets one star for food safety. I'd give it two for taste. I haven't been to this location for a few months, but maybe it changed owners? Used to love it, now I won't be back. The lettuce on the salad bar at lunch today was about a 50/50 mix of lettuce and Ice. Basically waterlogged greens floating in a chunky puddle with some flies flitting on and off of it for good measure. Salad definitely skipped. About halfway through lunch one of the employees started cleaning the salad bar with some aerosol spray, which drifted all over the food. Um, just no. Compared to the times I ate there earlier this year the pizza was lousy. Much less sauce and cheese and amazingly scanty toppings. Hopefully the other La Mesa location will be better. read more

I really liked this place! Had a half supreme half maui zaui with Polynesian sauce! Wow was that Maui Zaui good! Lots of toppings and I feel they could lighten up on that but the crust was good and crispy and the toppings combined with that sauce were amazing! The supreme was just ok and I would skip the half half and get a maui zaui all the way next time but, their cheesy garlic twists were also quite amazing and we got a few few checking in on yelp and will for sure be ordering more next time we stop in! read more

$19.37 for a large pepperoni pizza is unacceptable. Plus if it's under $20 there's a two dollar delivery fee. This is the most expensive pizza in the city. And this is not the best pizza in the city. Plus it takes an hour to get to your house. And the pizza was cold. Not acceptable. I used to like Round Table as a chain pizza to get delivered for the family. But at that price. No thanks. Round Table has been my favorite pizza since I was a kid. This location is fabulous. It's in a shopping center near downtown La Mesa, and if you live downtown, it's within walking distance. What sets this location apart, however, is the fact that it's family owned AND operated. The owners are there frequently, and they are always friendly and accommodating. Not gonna lie, their pizza is AMAZING! But seriously, the place is not being run very well. We were eating during the lunch buffet, and the manager/owner pours straight BLEACH from the Clorox container onto the floor next to the salad bar and starts wiping it up with a rag, I couldn't breath anywhere around the food. Not good to mix chemicals and food like that. They do not "fi-fo" (first in-first out) any of their salad products, saw a girl refilling all the new things on top of the old stuff without gloves. Then a guy comes from the back room and with his bare-hands and grabs the last slices of one pizza that was out for the buffet customers. I mean I know its a "cheap pizza buffet" but have some CLASS and health standards. None of the employees were friendly, welcomed us, or acknowledged our existence except for when they took our money!
