Long sigh... I really wanted to like this place. I've been searching for a new pizza spot in the area and this restaurant had a lot of great reviews. Yes, there were some bad ones too, but enough five-star ratings that I figured it was worth a try. Unfortunately, after the first bite, I couldn't even finish a slice. The pizza had an odd flavor that I couldn't quite place, and it didn't taste like quality ingredients. I don't enjoy leaving negative reviews, and that's not my goal here, but I was genuinely disappointed. We ended up throwing the pizza away and ordering something else. I'd say order with caution unless you already know and love this place. Btw-the pizza doesn't look bad. See my picture. Great spot to grab pizza. Service was great! The restaurant was clean and had plenty of seating. They offer alcoholic drinks and soft drinks. We ordered a medium pepperoni and mushroom pizza with the garlic stuffed cheese crust. The was very yummy . We also order the garlic wings also hit the spot. Nice people run this store, However, tossed the pizza after one piece and I have never tossed a pizza in my life. Low quality that I could taste immediately. Service was great and the price was affordable. It is in a small strip mall and it is very clean. I really want to like the pizza as the folks running it are so nice. If you're sick of chain pizza places, you gotta try Fernando's! Been a loyal customer since their last location and then they closed but luckily they opened again after the pandemic. The food is really good, I was a little skeptical at first when I heard it was the best pizza around here and IT REALLY IS! Flavor is great! This was the first time we tried Fernando's Pizza. My husband, nephew and myself had stopped in about an hour before closing time on a Sunday evening. This is a tiny, casual, restaurant which I assume that take-out orders is the heart of their business. However, tonight, we all decided to eat in the restaurant. There was 1 other table with in-restaurant diners. Very friendly staff took our order for a BBQ Chicken pizza with a garlic crust, order of Mango habanero chicken wings, and a salad. The pizza was very good with fresh ingredients, and the crust texture was just okay/average. The "garlic" part of the crust was just a sprinkling of granulated garlic seasoning; it was slightly burned onto the crust - we do not recommend ordering this "garlic" crust option. The mango wings were very spicy, and heavily sauced which we all thought were above average. The salad had crisp, fresh vegetables and we chose the Caesar dressing which was tasty. Ended up that the other table of diners included the owner. Had a nice chat with him, been in business 17 years in Spring Valley (this was their 2nd location since the old location was removed for a new housing project. The men rated Fernando's a 3 (I felt that score was too low) - though everything was good, it wasn't exceptional. We might try it again, ehh. But to be honest there is better pizza places we like in the area. read more

Really nice people so I hate to give a mediocre review but the pizza we got was unfortunately terrible......it was burnt, barely any toppings, just gross and seriously inedible. Not sure why they let it go out the door like it was because I guarantee you they wouldn't eat it. read more

Fernando's is a Spring Valley staple. My family and I began eating Fernando's at their old location and were so bummed when they were closed during their transition to this newer location. They are family own business that consistently provides great quality taste and value. My child's pizza order is a little specific and if I forget one item, they usually will call back to confirm. I don't think I've ever gotten such quality service from another quick service restaurant. We have also purchased their food for events to which we always receive a ton of compliments. I love the variety they offer, including gluten-free crusts, specialty pizzas, salads and sandwiches. You do need to call in your order as they do not do online ordering. We have never had any issues with the ordering or food despite years of frequent visits. This place is truly a gem. read more

Wow!! I'm so impressed with this place. I ordered 3 pizzas yesterday, margarita, meat lovers, and pepperoni, and they were all absolutely delicious. My favorite is by far the margarita pizza. The tomatoes and basil were so fresh and delicious. All of my friends kept raving about how good the pizza was. This is definitely my new favorite pizza joint. Delivery was fast and friendly. We ordered here for the first time on new years eve and let me tell you, it didn't disappoint. We had a amazing XL Deluxe pizza with extra cheese; Man... it was delicious. We also ordered an XL half pepperoni half cheese with extra cheese and that one was just as savory. Love the way all the ingredients are spread out with very little crust. For you that like big crust just keep that in mind. The staff was friendly and the pizzas were delivered at a reasonable time. We will definitely be ordering from here again.. read more

I've been to plenty of pizza joints, but Fernando's Pizza is on a different level. Usually, you go to these places and the salad is just a sad pile of iceberg lettuce--not here. The Salad Game Seriously, do not sleep on the salads. They are huge, vibrant, and incredibly fresh. You can tell they aren't just using pre-bagged mixes; the greens are crisp, the toppings are premium, and the dressings actually have flavor. It's the perfect "guilt-free" pairing with their heavy-hitting pizza. The Service What really keeps me coming back, though, is the staff. The customer service here is consistently 10/10. Even when the phone is ringing off the hook and the kitchen is slammed, the team stays friendly, organized, and genuinely welcoming. You never feel like just another order number; they actually care about your experience. The Bottom Line Great food is one thing, but great people make the meal. Between the stellar hospitality and the best house salad I've had in a long time, Fernando's has officially become my go-to spot. I came here because of the great reviews but unfortunately for me it was not good . Ordered two pizzas one was raw on the bottom and the flavor wasn't good I'm sorry cause the person who helped me was really nice . Don't ask for thin crust "thin crust costs MORE " that's what she said. As far as I know less dough should cost less; l ask for an extra crisp pizza which cost $1.00 MORE, when the pizza comes out it was burned, obviously they forgot about the pizza since everyone behind the counter were in their devices. I didn't mind the burning bottom or the use of devices at work, but I think once you get distracted at work and deliver a burn pizza is time to concentrate in what you are doing. Instead of accepting their failure and ask me if the pizza was burned and provide me with a non burning pizza. Any other person would make them remake a new pizza, me I just write reviews and I just evaluate restaurants. The ambience was a little weird, when I arrived to the parking lot,and finds that the pizza place was smashed probably the night before by a big truck or something big, the post that supposed to hold the the porch's roof outside the restaurant was in pieces of concrete on the floor, police tape around it, but very unsafe to walk into the restaurant. Inside there were like family members of the staff, I assumed because of the family conversations, they never ordered anything during the hour I was there eating my charcoal tasting pizza. The issue I found was that they didn't respect my online coupon I present when order, no explanation date on it but she said "that coupon is old". The other issue I had, was the partisano cheese and the red pepper, I ask for them and she said "you only get 3 of each " I don't think that's a way to serve customers, if a customer ask for more spices, they should be able to provide more in order to keep customers happy and satisfied. Because of the charcoal flavor, I was not able to identify the real taste of the pizza; therefore is 10% chance I come back to that pizza place. I was going to go with my family and friends but I will not recommend it. read more

Honestly both pizzas needed salt, which was interesting because they were two different sauces altogether. Other than the bummer pizza, it took so long to try it bc their hours were so unpredictable - closed Saturdays, sometimes a Friday, Tuesday? Another time, Google (and ordering apps) had the "opening" time listed as 9:30 PM... Even today (Labor Day) I called and they said "open til 8 but take our last order at 4:45pm." What?? I also tried to order on DoorDash but they didn't have the potato pizza on there?? Also the pepperoni was $37 on their site but $28 on door dash. The whole business aspect just seems like a mess. Worth mentioning bc it is not advertised anywhere but it's totally vegetarian. Buffalo, Hawaiian, all without meat. Pepperoni pizza only available with plant based fake pepperoni. Happy I ordered bc my husband totally missed that and would've been annoyed by it if we ordered it mistakenly.

Fernando's Pizza is without a doubt, the best pizza I've ever had. It has that real authentic taste that I love! I have never tried pizza this good before- every other place tastes like cardboard but the dough that Fernando's Pizza uses to execute the perfect slice, is the main reason why I keep coming back. Apparently they don't tell you when it has been delivered to your house. You just have to guess. They use a third party company for delivery called slice. I waited hours for the food, never got notified. After a couple hours I called the restaurant and they claimed it was delivered. I then go outside to find the food placed halfway down my long, semi-steep driveway, not even close to my door. There was no knock on my door, no doorbell rung, no text message, notification or anything to notify me when food was delivered. When I finally found the food it was ice cold. Not lukewarm, it was cold. I notified the pizza shop, the person who claimed they were the manager/ owner was rude, he didn't care and told me to take it up with slice. I filed a complaint with slice, they didn't care either. This is totally bizarre and shady business practice. I would AVOID this place at all costs.
