Randomly stumbled upon Zappy's and glad we did. $8.99 for a whole pepperoni pizza and it was immediately available, hot and fresh from the oven. Small shop, plenty of parking. Pizza was typical. Not amazing, not terrible. Fitting for the price. Great spot for an affordable meal, especially in 2026. read more

4.5 Stars. Not sure if it's my favorite pizza in SD but it is definitely the best value. I've only had the meat lovers but each time it was well made and well loaded. Crust is flavorful and well baked. It's a small counter location so come grab it to go. read more

A nice and quick spot for a classic cheese or pepperoni pizza. I love how fresh the ingredients taste. My partner really enjoyed their stuffed crust meat lovers pizza. read more

Zappy Pizza - Meat Lovers - Pizza Near Me - San Diego, California

Awesome local pizza shop! It all started by ordering a pie for our niece after hitting the grocery store. Nice clean reception area and smells amazing. Great quality pizza at a super reasonable price. They get it done fast, are super pleasant to customers, and if I had a complaint, it would be the Hawaiian pie could use some more pineapple. But that's a stretch, and I could easily enough just order extra. Love supporting this great local business. read more

Zappy Pizza - Hawaiian thin crust pizza! - Pizza Near Me - San Diego, California

Quick spot to come and grab a pie. I came on a Saturday night at 8pm. It was sorta busy. About 6 people came and went when I was here. I called ahead for a stuffed pepperoni pizza. It cost me 13 dollars and change and took about 15 minutes to be ready. There's no seating area here. So you either taking it to go or you're sitting on the side of the planter box enjoying. Handful of people working. Pretty quick and simple customer service. Pizza was pretty okay. Tasted like a slightly better Little Caesar's. Stuffed crust wasn't as gooey as I hoped but still a nice proportion of cheese to crust. Not overly saucy the pizza in general. Pepperoni tasted of nice quality. Real winner here was the crust. I think it was made to perfect. Was fluffy and well seasoned. Brought everything together. Overall.. It's not winning any awards anytime soon but I've spent more on pizza that was much more terrible than this. After half the box I felt pretty full which means cold pizza leftovers tomorrow! It's in a plaza with a couple of other stores and a food for less. There's a handful of parking right in front of the store and if you call ahead you'll be in and out real quick. 3 maybe 3.5 stars. read more

Terrible customer service. I ordered a pizza through doordash and payed online. My girlfriend went to pick it up and they charged her again. I called to sort it out and they weren't answering until eventually they just disconnected the line. Worst place don't come read more

Zappy Pizza - proof - Pizza Near Me - San Diego, California

Simple, good, affordable food. Great pick up to go spot. Get extra cheesy bread. It will get eaten fast.

Decided to go back to Zappy. Was craving pizza. The price increases drove me away. Good news. The specialty pizzas are two dollars less. $15.99 VS $17.99. So I got a Supreme for $15.99. The pizza was ready in 15 minutes. Nice and hot. But there was something different. The crust was thinner. The toppings were OK. Taste was good. Different staff. There used to be two ladies handling the register and making the pizzas. Now only one. But a guy from the back was helping out. Still lots of people lined up to order and or pickup. read more

The best, most affordable pizza! So delicious and a great price. They are consistently good. You can't go wrong.

It is so disappointing when they differ from their popular recipe, and now the pizza pie tastes unspecial. The luster of the stuffed crust with the garlic butter crust has now worn away. Still great service. But now, ordinary. read more

Pizza is mid, dominos is better! the owners rude every time and today burnt my pizza. Nasty pizza

I placed my order at 7:15 PM and was told it would be ready in 15-35 minutes. I gave them an extra 10 minutes just in case, but when I arrived, the order still wasn't ready. The staff was rude, and when I asked about the delay, one of the girls told me I had to wait another 5 minutes for one more pizza. The lead tried to explain that they like to "rotate the pizza to keep it fresh," but I made it clear that I needed the full order ready for pickup on time--not made while I waited. I gave them more than enough time. Very disappointing service--I won't be coming back. read more

The price and location was right for us. Wings were surprisingly good. Ranch good and bread was very tasty. One pizza was fresh and everyone enjoyed it- 2 toppings pepperoni and sausage. However the second pizza had an odd aroma-like not fresh dough or something which is strange since it is a pretty busy place. I only ate one slice of the pepperoni and pineapple pizza, but it was too far from home to call or return it. I will check before I leave next time but would give them another chance based on the value and other items being good. read more

I enjoy Zappy Pizza because it is relatively cheap and consistently good. There has only been a couple instances where I was dissatisfied with my purchase. The store front is small and appears to be clean. It is a pick-up-and-go spot for sure, so don't expect to sit down and enjoy a slice in store. The service is good, I have no complaints. Will definitely continue going to Zappy instead of one of the large chain pizza places. read more

The pizza is so good here and a very good price they are really quick also when you place orders definitely recommend

I bought wings and pizza. The wings tasted really bad, like an old dill taste, so we couldn't eat them--definitely a waste of money. But the pizza was great and fresh! read more

Went here for Veterans Day. Everyone wanted pizza and wings i absolutely love the pizza here especially the supreme. Got 3 pizzas and 60 wings. I had never had the wings from there but they are amazing. Full off sauce and crunchy. The service here is always efficient and fast. If you looking for decently priced wings then I am telling you go to Zappys read more

Really good customer service. The staff is always kind. Very busy location though so definitely recommend calling in or ordering online. All the different pizzas I have tried there are good. read more

The pizza is pretty good for what it is priced. Can never go wrong with that. The service was pretty okay until we had an issue with the order. We made sure to ask for extra pineapple twice on one of our pizzas we ordered and we ended up not even getting it. I wouldn't be writing this review if it was a one time thing but this is the third time this had happened, and the lady that took our order over the phone was VERY rude. read more

I ordered a Hawaiian pizza, it was a bit pricey, but the pizza was pretty good. It had a lot of toppings, which I appreciate because I am an eater, lol. The time it took to get here was very reasonable. I did appreciate that it was still warm, the crust was light and airy the sauce was delicious., and as I said, with all the abundance of toppings, it was delicious. read more

I can't believe how affordable this place is! Pizzas for $8.99? Cheesy garlic bread for $5? 10 buffalo wings for $10?? I am a fan. Way better than I expected!!! The pizza dough isn't my favorite but for the price? I love it. My family loved it. So I'm happy! read more

The staff were friendly and polite. The pies were ready in like 15 minutes. However, we weren't a fan of the pizza. The pies are relatively inexpensive. We bought 2 different pizzas. Ate a few slices and ended up tossing out the rest unfortunately. You get what you pay for. read more

Amazing! I did not expect it to have such taste! I simply ordered a pepperoni pizza, it was fresh, super cheesy (I'm unsure what kind of cheese they use but the taste was flavorful and mouthwatering), and cut perfectly lol. The sausage tasted bad, but the pizza was decent. The wings were pretty good next time I'll try the Hawaiian pizza. Damn good prices.

Highly recommend Zappy's. Pizza is fantastic. Great topings. The pepperoni is crispy and there's a great amount of cheese. Slices: nice amount of dough with crispy on the bottom and soft on top. read more

great pizza light on bread just flavorful I will definitely be back for more pizza friendly staff

WORST PIZZA I EVER HAD! ??? ZAPPY CRAPS How is this possible when its pretty hard to screw up pizza!? what a waste of money! ABSOLUTELY TASTELESS! This was JUNK. TRASH. Not fit for a hobo! Or my dog if I had one! Very poor MANAGEMENT here clearly. DO NOT GO HERE!!‍ Ya'll ordering this garbage, settling for crap, keeping them in business, are out yo' minds!! Go somewhere else. Lil Caesars is better lol. DIGIORNO. Red Baron. Pizza Rolls. Hot Pockets. Anything is better. Go cook at home. This was not delicious at all! EVERYTHING WRONG- BAD WORTHLESS PIZZA. No flavor, but BAD tasting! Burnt dry DEAD cardboard pizza slop. Uneven cheap cheese, HUGE GROSS CRUSTS LIKE A tasteless crap DOUGH BLANKET -soggy interior but also dry cardboard outer layer and incinerated crusts, but it's of it we're oily like a pan pizza!? Overall not worth the money even if starving on a deserted island. ( well u could eat it in that situation lol but it would be like having pizza MRE in the military in the field or something ) The first bite immediately tasted like BAD BURNT CHARCOAL flavored "almost crust" ruined it right there. But it was all ruined anyways lol. Imagine - between CARDBOARD and part soggy burnt tasting pancakey reminiscent dough. Yeah just bad when if not over cooked. Blackened charcoal singed toppings and blackish crust bubbles and singed bottom. Tasted like it got dipped in the fireplace! Ooowee! Barely any sauce but it wasn't delicious anyways. And HUGE ASS crusts taking up a 1/3 of the pizza slice on many. Out of control zap craps! So bad I had to ask them to remake. They did. But after I told them it was burnt, the girl said, "so youre saying you want it lightly cooked?" I said what does lightly cooked mean lol!? will it be cooked? are you asking if I want my pizza partially cooked? How about I just want it "cooked"!- couldya cook it normal and no black anything and no burnt charcoal toppings or crust please. And No raw dough please!? That's all (could you do that?) and she said two more times - so you want it lightly cooked!? Lol .... yeah I want sashimi pizza! Gimme some ceviche pizza- just soak it some lemon juice and let that cook it. NO! And no lol -JUST NORMAL! So l got the second replacement pizza - same z'crap just lighter espresso burning and poor quality everything. WHAT A SLOPPY MADE PIZZA So I dig into this number DEUCE zap crap, went to pick up a slice, and the little half slice covering piece of cheese slip ripped right off staying stuck to the box and other slices taking the few toppings with it when I picked one up! like a darn slip n slide!! lol just a piece of burnt soggy no sauce dead cardboard crust in my hand lol! (See pics) So they definitely burn their pizza here at Zappy Crappelini's Seems like oven too hot or malfunctioning and/or their baking pan is messed up or dirty. Look at my pics and theirs too -u can kinda see what I'm z'crap talking about! And it was way worse than it looks in the pics! I was forced to give 1 star if that means anything. SO ZERO STARS. ZERO CRAPS for ZAPPIN CRAPs. Negative stars lol Now folks, I would never say all this and waste my time if it weren't SO bad. I have better things to do-but not tonight.. lol had to! ‍I NEVER do reviews but I had to. And let me add it was especially horrible in comparison to what I had just eaten at a nearby competitor- a slice of heaven. Just before I went to Zappy craptown, I had ordered a slice at another place close by, after I ate it I wanted to order a whole pizza to take home it was SO unbelievably delicious. But they had just closed, so I had to go here to Crappin zappers and buy garbage... You can see my other review of the good pizza! Zappy crappelini's needs to take a pizza etiquette and cooking lesson from B**bino's! the best pizza ever! ‍ (I am not being paid for this indirect endorsement! nor affiliated w them) I have eaten at other zappy pizza in Vista and it's very good. But I was so disappointed with THIS ZAPPY CRAPS that I want my 10 bucks back on principle! I don't care if it's not worth the hassle! Man alive- please change your dough your sauce and your oven and your pan and pizza makers and your incompetent workers Beeeeeeeeeeeepzzzz ding ding ding ZAP CRAPSTERS you're FIRED! Fix it or Shut'r down! or get off the pot.... Well this has been so fun... thanks ... so therapeutic! ‍ Hey yelp thinks it's pretty epic! Right on! Looks like I hit the nail on the head ! read more

Look, for what it's worth, it ain't bad. If you're guessing "Elevated Little Caesars" for an experience....then you guessed it!! Lol. I haven't been to Little Caesar's in so long, I forgot what it's like to just walk up, pay, and walk away with a ready pizza. Honestly, I think if this place put a little buttery sauce on their crust or something? I would likely give it five stars. The size is good. Cooked well. Good toppings coverage and cheese quantity...for a $6 pizza, can't complain. No pics because we demolished it lol. read more
