Out of all the chain pizza joints, round table is the only one I really back. Their specialty pizzas are pretty damn tasty! My fave is still the Gourmet Veggie pizza w/ pan crust: Artichoke hearts, zucchini, spinach, white mushrooms, Roma tomatoes, red & green onions, Italian herb seasoning, and lots of chopped garlic. Baked with a blend of 3 cheeses on our Creamy Garlic Sauce. SO GOOD! As for a side I rarely buy them w/ pizza. However, I recommend the garlic twists w/ red sauce. If they're made just right (lightly browned and soft) you'll dig 'em! Get 2 orders (6 total). My only beef w/ Round Table is that they're not cheap (I paid over $30 for a large pie and twists my last visit). If you have a coupon definitely use it. Haven't had Round Table in years. We typically go to Dominos. For a change of taste, we decided on RT. Ordered a small pepperoni pizza, pasta, and mild buffalo wings. The cashier repeated our order back, and it was correct. We were told that the wait time was 15 minutes, which I believed, as no one else was in the restaurant at 5:00pm and no other pies were in the process of being made. 30 minutes later, our order is complete. We drove home and sat down to eat. The small pepperoni pizza was missing pepperoni, and the mild buffalo wings were anything but mild. Guess it's back to Dominos or Stuft Pizza. Has been my favorite pizza for 40 years but recently they made changes and they no longer slice ingredients thin now they are five to ten times the size weighing down the pizza and causing it to taste differently. Doesn't make much sense either because it causes longer cook times which cost more money and with veggies 5 times the thin sliced ones it also costs more money and it's much less desirable so our once a week habit is now maybe once a month and even that is starting to dwindle since we are disappointed every single time in recent visits. I'm not one to write reviews, I would rather just not give business to an establishment again. However, I feel compelled to let others know how poor the service at this location is. In the past few months, I have attempted/completed an order 3 times with this establishment. 1st Order - I called and inquired if they deliver to Laguna Niguel. I received a response of "yes". I gave them my phone number and apparently my old address in Dana Point was listed on the account. I verbally attempted to have them update to my current address 4 times. The individual on the phone couldn't grasp the concept that I needed to change my address and after multiple attempts to explain, I hung up the phone from frustration. 2nd Order - Since I love the Maui Zaui pizza, I decide to give the Dana Point location another chance. This time, I ordered a pick up which went smoothly over the phone. I specifically asked if the pizza came with Polynesian sauce and the answer was "yes". However, after I arrived, inspected, and departed with the pizza I realized they put red sauce on the pizza instead of default Polynesian sauce (by tasting). I drove back and inquired about the mix up. I was told the pizza came with Polynesian sauce and I inquired why the red sauce was used. The employee blankly stared at me and had no response. After 30 seconds on silence, I had to ask for them to correct it. I was very patient and polite with my inquiry. 3rd Order - My wife was pregnant and we could not pick up the pizza. Against my better judgement, we order a pizza for delivery. A total price was given, that deviated from the normal menu price and I assumed it was due to adding a topping. However, once I received a copy of receipt I noticed they charged me for delivery. Seriously! Who charges for delivery? I was never told there was a delivery fee nor did they say I was out of their area. I called back to inquire, more for the principle than anything else. I asked the employee if they inform customers of "delivery fees" and she stated "no". I've never heard of any pizza restaurant that charges for delivery, let alone not inform their customers of it. I understand this may seem like a rant. My only goal is for the business to realize its inefficiencies and correct them. Unfortunately, I feel I must post this negative feedback as my attempts to speak with a manager have fallen upon deaf ears. read more

We ordered a pizza last week for delivery, on the computer. This week I called in the order gave him the # and address. Spelled the street several times he took my order and I was giving him my cc# and in the middle of it he said he wasn't going to send his driver because he couldn't find it on his map (computer). On the request on my grandkids, I have taken them to a Round Table Pizza near my house a few times this month. I hadn't been to one in years, so on our first visit, I was impressed. The salad bar was good and the ingredients were fresh, with a good variety of the usual offerings, and the pizza was also good. They both ate their fair share of slices, making the kid's buffet price worth it. Yesterday, we were a little out of our area, and the kids being hungry, I looked for a Round Table Pizza nearby and found this one on Golden Lantern. It was 11:10 when we walked in. There were two men having salads, but no other customers, and no pizza under the heat lamps. I assumed it would be out shortly, but I was very, very wrong. I paid, took my younger grandson to the restroom, came back, got our plates, helped my younger grandson get his drink, filled my salad plate, and started back to the table when the man at the counter asked me what kind of pizza the kids liked. I thought that was strange since I assumed that the pizza was already cooking and well on its way to being brought. Wrong again!! The kids were a little patient asking several times where the pizza was, drinking, then refilling their drinks, their hunger being satisfied by some cheese bread that came out about 11:30, but still no pizza. I ate my salad, but didn't enjoy it, feeling guilty that I was eating and they weren't. Finally at 11:40, ...40 minutes after they opened, and 30 minutes after we got there..., three pizzas came out: cheese, pepperoni, and barbecued chicken...ALL THREE WITH BURNT CRUST!I I took a slice of the cheese and one of pepperoni for each of the grandkids, along side of the two men who also immediately got up to get pizza. I didn't wait in line behind them even though they had been there first, and I didn't instruct the grandkids to wait their turn as I normally would have. They were hungry, and I was being a grandmother bear. They needed their food, and had waited long enough. When I brought the kids back to the table, then and only then did I go back for a slice for me. Again, disappointment!! All that was left was barbecued chicken. The men, rightly so, had taken all the rest of the cheese and of the pepperoni, and I don't blame them one bit! They had waited even longer than we had. So back to the table I went with my barbecued chicken slice. I'm Italian. I like pizza. I come from back east where some of the best pizza is made. I've even had pizza in Italy, BUT I HAVE NEVER, EVER, EVER HAD BARBECUED CHICKEN PIZZA! I ate the topping off, and waited for a decent slice of pepperoni. Finally, about 20 minutes later, more pies came out. By then, there were more people coming in, I was disgusted, and the kids, who had filled up on drinks and cheese bread, and weren't very happy with the dry toppings and the burnt crusts, didn't want any more. I would consider our visit to have been a waste of money, and I would have asked for my money back and left during the wait if the kids had not been with me, but kids learned some valuable lessons, but expensive lessons, the most important being that we will never, never go back to this Round Table Pizza again. Bad staff? Bad management? Slow ovens? Who knows, but I would not give it a second shot. read more
