I wouldn't even give 1 star. This Round Table on Marconi Ave for the second time in a row has given me the worst pizzas. Where is the cheese or sauce? Why did i spend $25 on dry bread? How do you give your customers this kind of pizza with a smile? Now I know why she didn't open the box and show it too me because it's a terrible pizza and she knew that they would be closed by the time I got home. I will see you in the morning. I have been going to this round table for years. This was the worst experience I have ever had. I did an order on line, it asked me if I wanted pick up or delivery? I chose delivery because of a medical procedure I had. So, the time comes for them to deliver and they aren't here. I called and they said well we tried to call you 8-9 times (no message was left for any of the 8-9 tries) to tell you that we only deliver Thursday-Sunday. I asked why it's not in the website when you order. They couldn't answer that question. They then told me my order was ready. I decided to go get it. I get my receipt and they charged me for delivery. I told them they can't charge me for that. They then said I was ready to go but my order wasn't all there. They didn't make part of the order. I was mad and said I'm not waiting and they then had to do another credit. As I was leaving the girl says remember delivery Thursday-Sunday. I said I won't ever be back, and she said good. This is how much they "value" their customers. I live around multiple pizza places but have always been loyal to RT. Well, not anymore. If they feel their customers aren't worth it, then I will help them to not have a customer. I'm sure others will follow once they have the same experience. read more

Can I please just give no stars? I made an online order at 4:30 and the wait time was about 15 minutes. I get in there 20 minutes after placing the order(4:50). First, when I walked in there was 2 people who already been helped. I stood at the counter for a few minutes, finally acknowledged me, ask for my order and she says it will be another 10 minutes. I said ok no problem I have to go to another store in the same parking lot. No big deal. I then come back another 15 minutes later. Coming back in there are several people waiting to be helped and they don't look happy. The group of gentleman in front of me were next and ask the cashier was finishing up with the last pickup, she just walked away. I only needed to grab my pizza and go so I said I just have a pickup if you could help me. She completely ignored me and told they guys in front of me she'll be back. Again they're not pleased and at this point I'm not either. She comes back and says it's gonna be another 10 minutes. I said ma'am I've been waiting for my pizza for almost an hour now. She shrugged her shoulders and had nothing at all to say. I said I just want a refund at this point. Then she states oh it's coming out of the oven now. I again stated, no I just want a refund. She asked me several times if I was sure since it's coming out now. For the 3rd time now, I'm requesting a refund. Finally someone came up to give me a refund and I didn't leave until 5:30. This place is a joke. Walking in, it's awkwardly silent, dingy, dark, not clean at all and their customer service is garbage. The outside of the store is dirty, they don't acknowledge anyone and sounds like everyone had been waiting for a while. They need to get a new crew and train them in customer service. I work retail so it can be challenging and I'm a very understanding person. This was beyond ridiculous. Trained the staff better or shut the store down please. read more

I placed an online order on 8/16 at 5:51 PM for 3 pizzas, with a promised pick-up time of 6:19 PM. I arrived at the store at 6:25 PM, only to be told that 2 pizzas were ready but the third was still in the oven. I was told it would take 10 minutes. After waiting 20 minutes, I went back up to the counter to ask about it, only to be told the pizza was never made because they were out of thick crust. That could have been communicated to me immediately, but instead I wasted time waiting. I told them to make it with regular crust. I waited another 20 minutes and asked again, and was told it looked like they forgot to make it. At this point, the cashier and the pizza maker began arguing with each other--right in front of customers--over whose fault it was. The lobby was full of people also complaining about late orders. Meanwhile, another employee answered the phone and told a caller that their pizza had been sitting in the warmer for over an hour and they'd have to come pick it up because delivery wasn't possible. Finally, after another long wait, my pizza was finished. I didn't walk out of the store until 7:30 PM--over an hour after the promised pick-up time. Not once did I receive an apology. The customer service was terrible, and the staff were extremely unprofessional. The next day, I called to speak with a manager, but was told the manager, Cody, was the problem. I was even told I should just write a Yelp review if I wanted things to improve. This experience was absolutely unacceptable. The lack of management, accountability, and basic customer service is shocking. Whoever owns this store should be beyond embarrassed at how poorly it is run. read more

WOMAN EMPLOYEE IS NOT AN ASSET TO ROUND TABLE ---- Tonight's experience would warrant a minus 5 stars. My husband called in a pizza & paid. I arrived with my children to pick it up. We encountered a female employee, I'm not sure if it's ok to say her name so I'll leave that out. All I can say is WOW! How does this person keep her job - or does she own the place? I told her I had an order to pick up. She was extremely rude, angry & adamant stating there was no order placed. I assured her there was an order & offered to call my husband. She was very frustrated & yelling at employees. She looked around a bit more & finally found the order but said it was not yet ready. I told her that was fine & I would sit & wait. As we waited for our Pizza, we could hear her yelling at the employees & witnessed her being rude to another customer. She screamed my husband's name when our order was ready & I went up to the counter to get our pizza. Our order included two liters of soda, I asked for both plates & cups. We have placed this same order in the past and were provided plates & cups without issue. However, she claimed they had no cups, what??? Not wanting to deal with her confrontational attitude, I was about to leave but then returned to the counter to ask for my receipt. I was happy to see a different employee at the counter, he was very pleasant. The male employee was very nice & was looking for my receipt to give it to me. She returned and was screaming at him & the other two employees & asking the gentleman who was assisting me what he was doing. I finally was successful in obtaining my receipt & we left. This entire experience was very unpleasant for us as customers. Why is this woman allowed to treat customers like this? I can't imagine having to work beside this person, that wouldn't happen!! From reading other reviews, it looks like others have encountered this same woman as so I'm going to assume she's been there awhile. How do they keep their other employees with this woman on staff? We left with our Pizza but upset. She succeeded in ruining what was supposed to be a relaxing evening. I'm not sure if we will return or not. I did write a complaint to Round Table. The good: The pizza was excellent. The bad: The wait time was not excellent. Upon submitting my online pickup order, it gave a pickup time that was 15 minutes from when I placed the order. The pizza was actually ready 49 minutes from when I placed the order. Luckily I arrived quite late anyway, so I only had to wait about 15 minutes. But I was surprised when I got there so late and it wasn't ready yet. There seemed to be only 2 employees there, and a decent group of people were waiting like me. My gripe is more about the inaccurate estimation than the wait time itself. It would be nice if the actual wait time was reflected online, not just a default time of 15 minutes. Finally, I get a delivery and a food that is actually outstanding. I ordered a extra large King Arthur Supreme and a side salad. I was told I would get my pizza within 45 minutes. It arrived in 40 minutes still piping hot and the salad was still chilled. The temperature in Carmichael California was 45° with a haze, a fog in the air... I used a promotion code to get seven dollars off my pizza. Plus I was able to successively and very easily order through their online website. I got a extra large King Arthur supreme and a side salad with ranch dressing. The pizza was cooked to perfection, a green pepper, and onions, all slightly cooked. They were not burnt or anything, and the traditional red sauce was the perfect combination & amounts...‍... This time around I was actually very impressed with my order and the food in general. So Round Table Pizza will be a little more pricey than other pizza place but as the saying goes, you get what you pay for and this time around I got what I paid for....I am a very happy trooper. ‍ read more

It seems like door dash over loads the drivers so that they have to make multiple deliveries per trip. Unfortunately that means we get our pizza later than quoted and cold. We use this Round Table all the time, but after my visit the other day, we will no longer be ordering from here. Go in for pick up and I stand there waiting for someone to acknowledge me but instead the two workers are sitting behind the cash wrap sitting on their phones. Once the worker starts helping me and she is struggling with something the other yells out "sorry she's new here" as he laughs about it but doesn't help her. While I'm waiting for my order a third worker comes out from underneath the cash wrap lying on the floor... how disgusting & extremely unprofessional. First time customer. Ordered on-line for a delivery. The order process is okay. The delivery took forever. The wife was watching the progress on her phone and it sure was confusing as the status kept changing When it finally arrived, The pizza was cold. But this crust was thicker than what I am used to in the L.A. area - which I REALLY Like. So when the pizza got here, and we nuked it, it was a little chewier than it should be - but was good nonetheless. I'm sure we'll order from here again. The pizza itself is fine, and they're generally pretty consistent with that part here. The big problem is that they're utterly in capable of providing accurate time estimates for their online orders. I sometimes, it's right on. Sometimes, it's twice as long as the estimated time. That's a real problem when you have to stand there for 25 minutes waiting for your pizza when it was supposed to be ready by the time you got there. read more

2 pizzas and a salad I can't even make myself and had to pay over $100 this place is such a rip off

So, they messed up.... And made it up. Apparently the ticket didn't print and we were made to wait an extra 20 minutes. Right away, when they realized I didn't have a pizza, it was upgraded to a large and many apologies were given. I come to this location frequently because I live close. Mostly, they're at a 5 star standard. Their pizzas are fresh, and the salad bar is fresher. They also have an all you can eat lunch buffet from 11 am to 1:30 pm where you get unlimited pizza and salad bar for around $10 per person. What a deal! If you're looking for a place to entertain your kids, you may want to stock up on quarters. There's only one game, and a bunch of boring dispensers (and they're not cheap). The junk you can get out of the gumball machines are i.e, stickers, temporary tattoos, small bouncing balls and so forth. If I were a child, I would find more fun running around the restaurant than trying to find joy in the gumball machines. So, I'm giving 4 stars because of the front counter customer service, (she was fine, but could have smiled more), and because of the oversight on the ticket. Being that the chef took the initiative and compensated me, the 4 star rating is earned. Thank you Round Table for the pizza, and thank you to anyone that took the time to read this. read more
