.Nope... long story short: We loved an arrangement they had on display, but it felt too top‑heavy…read more A month later, I dropped off our vase and was told by Jill, our "arrangement would be structured as a mix of hard and soft textures, light and dark neutrals, with bits of soft green worked in. I'll lean the piece to the left, as you mentioned, and keep the top open rather than dense, so the height reads as tall and architectural rather than heavy!" Perfect. The arrangement in the second photo is what we received. I expressed our unhappiness and was told we'd be charged extra for the design we originally wanted. I went back to the owner, Jill, who said she had "misinterpreted the design." They redid it urgently. We still don't love it, and when we asked about the materials used, we were told, "No, the commission covers the design, sourcing, and construction time of the finished piece, not a quantity of stems." So we're being charged for the materials from the first arrangement but not getting any of them back. We ended up paying nearly $500 for something Jill misinterpreted. I appreciate that it's an artistic piece that takes time to create, but this experience has been frustrating. It's sad that I can't recommend them, and reviews like this are written to warn buyers.

She even noted when we needed the alterations done so the dress would be ready for our event. Not only did they have the dress ready in plenty of time, but they also went the extra mile and steamed the dress so it was ready to wear! Since then, I've had that design in my back pocket so that I can recreate that same professional-looking piece (or closed to it) myself for our new home. Now that I have a foyer, I want to showcase our entrance by adding a major centerpiece. I couldn't find those same winter florals at other flower shops- so in comes Colonial Flower S. at the New Paltz Plaza in New Paltz who met me all the way while thinking outside the box. Whether it's cheery+frilly or minimalist, Colonial says it all with flowers and greenery. At the main entrance, you'll find those glass refrigerated coolers; then the shop's backroom is bursting with blooms as the folks work and create arrangements on long table. I'd shown Melissa the arrangement snapshot of what was created for me and although Colonial didn't carry those specific stems I wanted, she IMMEDIATELY thought of plan B and made things so much easier! Price was right and Melissa's fast-thinking, creative skills were on point the entire time. Thank you so much!

I cannot recommend Lambs Hill or my stylist Alessia enough!!…read more Everyone I know has gotten their dress at Lambs Hill, and upon first glance you think you're walking into a high end boutique and going to end up spending a pretty penny. That could not be the opposite! Their gowns are so moderately priced with majority of them being under $2300. I went in thinking I wanted a ballgown and went the entire opposite direction. Alessia pulled every single dress I asked to see, she helped me try on and take off the same dresses multiple times. In the end she ended up custom making me a gown from items all around the shop. I found my dress at my first apt but left without it because I was too nervous to say yes at my very first apt. I went back about a month later tried on even more dresses & Alessia convinced me to try on my dress one more time and I knew it was mine when I looked at it on the hanger. We learned that the owner's name is Charlotte and she painted all of the artwork in the shop. But what they didn't know is that my late grandma's name was Charlotte & I have been having a very difficult time without her being here, walking into my changing area and seeing her name on the art work on the wall I knew was a sign that not only was she there with us but that I'd be leaving Lambs Hill with my perfect dream dress. The entire staff is amazing, made me feel like a princess and I absolutely cannot wait to see my dress come to life! If you were second guessing going to Lambs Hill this is your sign to RUN to make an apt!!!

Hiring Kayleigh Avery from Wild Blooms Bridal was the best money we spent on our whole wedding. If…read moreyou're on the fence about hiring a planner, do it, and hire Kayleigh in particular. She is incredibly organized, thoughtful, professional, has a great eye for design and is just generally a delight to work with. I cannot recommend her enough, you will not regret hiring her. My husband (!) and I just got married this past weekend and man did Kayleigh do a fantastic job. Having gone through the process now I would say the most important thing to look for in a planner is organization, which Kayleigh has in spades. The planning process unfortunately coincided with a very stressful time for me career-wise (finishing grad school, job searching and then starting a new job). It took such a weight off my shoulders just being able to trust 100% that Kayleigh was on top of everything. Meeting with her was always a delight and she went above and beyond for us every step of the way. Also she did an excellent job designing the wedding. That was really the last thing I wanted to think about and Kayleigh took a half baked Pinterest board and some off hand comments I made and turned it into a detailed design board that perfectly captured what I wanted. The month of the wedding was where I really realized how out of our depths we would have been without her. There were so many more details that needed to be planned than I realized, particularly around the timeline. Kayleigh joined us for calls with our vendors and countless times she would ask questions that were absolutely critical but never occurred to me to ask. We even got compliments from our other wedding vendors about how exceptionally organized and on top of everything she was. I'm truly so grateful we decided to hire her, if my husband and I had been steering that ship it would have been an absolute disaster. We are pretty organized people but we also have demanding jobs and simply would not have been able to do it all and do it well. And on the day itself she really blew everyone away. Kayleigh has a real talent for herding cats (our family) with a gentle hand. She got everyone and everything where it needed to go and the day went off without a hitch. Some special highlights include making sure my mother in law had a comfortable place to stand for her speech because she was nervous about losing her balance, making sure I had a moment alone before the ceremony when I was freaking out and our whole families crashed the room we were in, and many more. Plus I'm sure there were many things she did for us behind the scenes that I didn't even see. Honestly the day was pretty perfect and a large part of that is thanks to Kayleigh. Additionally for florals we worked with Jessica from Wild Blooms. She was great to work with and very willing to work within our budget (florals was one of the places we were looking to save money and she was very kind and supportive about that). She was very professional and a lovely person, I would definitely recommend her.
