Ordered a bouquet for my wife's birthday @ $92.00. What was delivered was COMPLETELY different from the picture - different flowers, different amount. I was told by the owner that they didn't have the right flowers in stick and for the money there's no way they could give the amount of flowers pictured. BAIT AND SWITCH. If the can't fill the order properly why advertise it as such? When I complained the Florist agreed that it wasn't anything like I ordered and offered a discount on future orders. NONSENSE! I complained further and was offered a FULL REFUND. I got $45.00 back from 92. I did ask for a 45 refund but then was offered a FULL REFUND which I didn't get. This is the most unprofessional business ever - they ripped me off. Don't ever use this florist - CROOKS. I got ripped off and so might you. Do yourself a favor and steer clear. Lucille's Florist is a very special flower shop. We ordered flowers to be sent to a friend in Mid Hudson Regional hospital last Friday. Lucille's delivered those flowers to the hospital, but somehow, they were lost in the shuffle and never made it to our friend's room. She was discharged from the hospital yesterday and we did not know she had not received the flowers until after she was home. We called Lucilles to double check that they had in fact been delivered to the correct hospital - they were - and so, even though it was not Lucilles fault, she asked for our friends home address and delivered a second bouquet to our friends home at no additional charge - a trip of almost 20 miles. Lucille is a very nice lady, very budget friendly but the work is low quality. I was the bride, my bouquet was the only decent one out of all the other bouquets and corsages. This review pertains to our last-minute effort the day of a wedding to salvage a wilting bridal bouquet. It does not cover consultations, et al. Please take that into consideration. Our friend, the Best Woman, brought the bouquets and centerpieces the previous day for the venue to set up. Unfortunately, one of the primary floral selections the bride made for her bouquet - the hydrangeas - were wilted and fading fast. They are a flower that just happens not to do well in a day of heat, much less multiple days, which I discovered with a quick Google search. And this was a WARM weekend, and an outdoor wedding to boot. The day of the wedding, the Best Woman's date and I decided to take it upon ourselves and find a florist who would hopefully be available to salvage this bouquet for our bride. My ex-husband worked as a florist for a while in Connecticut across from a seaside resort that hosted many a wedding, and more than once he's had to save or a bouquet or a corsage/boutonniere. He knew how stressful these events can be when such important details go awry, so he always did so with sympathy and a smile. I honestly thought I'd find the same service from florists no matter where I went. The woman who answered the phone, after a quick explanation of our situation, was eager to help and told us to come on in immediately. When we got there, the store was full of bustle. They were loading up vehicles with flowers for at least three events going on that day. Despite how busy they were, the woman behind the counter took our bouquet immediately and gave it a look before generally explaining what she would do for us. We left it to her as we sat and waited, trying to stay clear of the others carrying handfuls of arrangements out of the building. Every now and then she would ask us a question or make a suggestion, but otherwise we watched as she diligently and deftly worked. She salvaged as much as she could of the original arrangement, she added some other white flowers and even added a bit of blue color to the white hydrangeas to compliment the original white/blue theme. In no time, she produced our newly form bridal bouquet in a little disposable vase and instructed us on how to keep it fresh until the wedding (especially emphasizing to keep it out of the heat). It was a great transaction and the bride was none the wiser that her original bouquet had been replaced until after the service when we told her the story. She loved the arrangement and was so grateful that we and the florist saved her bouquet. It is this kind of service we need more of in the business world, and I will always be an enthusiastic supporter of any sort of retailer, contractor, company, or otherwise that gives you wonderful service, even if they don't end up being the most competitively priced. Good service is worth the extra cost. read more

I made an appointment about 3-4 weeks ago to meet with the owner this weekend for my wedding in July was told when making the appointment that she could do that day but has a wedding and was unsure of the time so would call a week ahead to confirm time. I didn't hear anything so I called yesterday and left a message. I get a phone call back today that she is out of town for the wedding and wouldn't be able to meet and to top it off I wasn't even in the calendar for an appointment. The owner said the deposit my grandmother paid is non-refundable even though she is the one canceling the appointment and on top of that was beyond rude. Edit; she wrote my grandmother an email saying she would refund her. She called and gave cc information and then still has not refunded her a month later. Thief!!! read more

Also, she has this really rude young girl working for her (I think) or she just hangs out in the shop all day and doesn't do anything that I can see (except maybe laugh at people). At the beginning of the process, Lucille was very accommodating. I reached out to her in regards to starting to design the centerpieces and didn't receive much of a response. Unfortunately the pandemic hit and we were unable to hold our ceremony. When I reached out about cancelling my event and negotiating a deposit return, it was extremely difficult to get a hold of her. I have still yet to receive the agreed upon amount or even a response. From pictures I've seen of her work online, it looks amazing. I love Lucille and her team, they are fabulous people and they are patient and loving. They are also very affordable. With that said, the product was not exactly what I wanted. I luckily stopped by on my way to the hotel the day before the wedding to drop off some stuff. God works in mysterious ways because I got to see the bouquets and some of the other pieces that were already made for the wedding. I ended up having a panic attack over the bouquets and had to change so many aspects! I didnt see the pieces for the church but I did see the centerpieces which I loved! The church pieces were almost what I wanted. They added this terrible ribbon when I had made it clear I wanted a small ribbon holding everything together. Luckily no one seemed to notice and everyone complimented it either way. I just wasn't the happiest. The boutennieres were great though and I loved those as well! read more

We recently used Lucille's for the centerpieces at our wedding. We were initially a little worried because the staff was not too friendly upon our entry and the shop was a little messy. However, the prices were the best around and a lot of reviews we saw had similar experienced but ended up with nice flower arrangements so we decided to roll the dice. Well, I am extremely happy that we did!!!! The centerpieces came out beautiful and were delivered the morning of the wedding, as promised. Overall, customer service is not their strong point, but you are not going to beat their prices and they delivered a great product which is the main thing we cared about. They delivered a get well arrangement that looked like a welcome baby arrangement. All carnations & baby breath. They left it outside uncovers where it gathered ants (unbeknownst to me) finding out after it was brought indoors. When I called to complain, they were argumentative & full of excuses. When my daughter and I went to Lucille's Florist, we were just beginning our journey to find a florist to make all the arrangements and bouquets for the wedding. We sat down with Lucille, showed her pictures of what my daughter wanted and Lucille said " yes, I can do that!".. When the arrangements and bouquets were delivered, they could not have been more beautiful!!! From just a picture of what my daughter wanted, she did a beautiful job, and was a pleasure to work with!!
