    I phoned in an order for flowers for my mom's burial in Fishkill. I was traveling 2 hours and I found Lucille's on Yelp. We talked a bit on the phone and I hoped I had properly conveyed what I was looking for. When I got there the morning of the burial the flowers were ready and exactly what I wanted. It was one bright spot is a difficult day.

    Lucille was amazing to work with and captured the exact vision I was hoping for on my wedding day (October 1st). We knew we needed to book Lucille for our wedding from the second we stepped foot in her shop. From start to finish Lucille was great to work with. She is so professional, knowledgeable, and truly listened to what we were looking for. My bouquet far exceeded any expectations that I had, and all of the flowers were perfect. I cannot recommend Lucille and her team enough for any of your florist needs. They are top notch and I look forward to crossing paths again in the future!

    My husband surprised me with a bouquet of flowers earlier this week. I assumed by their size and quality they were purchased maybe at Walmart / food store. He insisted he bought them from Lucilles I didn't believe until he showed me transaction receipt from Lucilles $40+ dollars. Rip off. Would have been nice to offer a fresh bouquet of carnations for that price . Husband was sure taken for a ride by Lucilles . Exactly why I order fresh from Adams and the deliver same day !

    So happy I was able to find a last minute florist that was still delivering for Mother's Day! Everyone else was booked solid, but Friday I randomly found this! Was able to send my mother a nice bouquet with a balloon since I live in nyc. Thank you! She loved it. Timely delivery on Sunday too! I'm sure your store was swamped so I appreciate it!

    I just got back from my honeymoon and wanted to make sure I left a review!! We had the best experience with Lucille. Before the big day we went back and forth a little on how I wanted everything to look but I loved the final product!! She provided excellent service and I received complements on the bouquets and centerpieces which always feels good :)) thanks Lucille!!

    This review pertains to our last-minute effort the day of a wedding to salvage a wilting bridal bouquet. It does not cover consultations, et al. Please take that into consideration. Our friend, the Best Woman, brought the bouquets and centerpieces the previous day for the venue to set up. Unfortunately, one of the primary floral selections the bride made for her bouquet - the hydrangeas - were wilted and fading fast. They are a flower that just happens not to do well in a day of heat, much less multiple days, which I discovered with a quick Google search. And this was a WARM weekend, and an outdoor wedding to boot. The day of the wedding, the Best Woman's date and I decided to take it upon ourselves and find a florist who would hopefully be available to salvage this bouquet for our bride. My ex-husband worked as a florist for a while in Connecticut across from a seaside resort that hosted many a wedding, and more than once he's had to save or a bouquet or a corsage/boutonniere. He knew how stressful these events can be when such important details go awry, so he always did so with sympathy and a smile. I honestly thought I'd find the same service from florists no matter where I went. The woman who answered the phone, after a quick explanation of our situation, was eager to help and told us to come on in immediately. When we got there, the store was full of bustle. They were loading up vehicles with flowers for at least three events going on that day. Despite how busy they were, the woman behind the counter took our bouquet immediately and gave it a look before generally explaining what she would do for us. We left it to her as we sat and waited, trying to stay clear of the others carrying handfuls of arrangements out of the building. Every now and then she would ask us a question or make a suggestion, but otherwise we watched as she diligently and deftly worked. She salvaged as much as she could of the original arrangement, she added some other white flowers and even added a bit of blue color to the white hydrangeas to compliment the original white/blue theme. In no time, she produced our newly form bridal bouquet in a little disposable vase and instructed us on how to keep it fresh until the wedding (especially emphasizing to keep it out of the heat). It was a great transaction and the bride was none the wiser that her original bouquet had been replaced until after the service when we told her the story. She loved the arrangement and was so grateful that we and the florist saved her bouquet. It is this kind of service we need more of in the business world, and I will always be an enthusiastic supporter of any sort of retailer, contractor, company, or otherwise that gives you wonderful service, even if they don't end up being the most competitively priced. Good service is worth the extra cost.

    I don't feel like we got our money's worth and here's why…read more I ordered a bouquet and a box of chocolates for a friend of ours. I saw what was received and really didn't feel like we got our money's worth. The flowers, although fresh and well arranged, were grocery store flowers, and the box of chocolates was a candy bar. I am grateful that whoever arranged the flowers took it upon themself to gussy up the bar of chocolate with some cute ribbon, but I purchased "Box of Chocolates", not "gas station chocolate bar". If these were for a good friend or family member and not a distant former colleague's partner, I would have been mortified by what they received Even though it missed the mark for us, I understand that small businesses have to cut corners sometimes, but it seems that's not the case with this business. When I was placing my order online I saw an additional "service fee". An explanation of the fee appears only at checkout and states: "Good News! This applies to first-time online orders only. We appreciate your repeat business, so you won't see this charge next time you order using the same email address."  We promptly called to ask for an explanation as to what exactly that fee is for. The nice young lady who answered explained that it was a third party fee for their tech provider that does their website and e-commerce. I intially assumed this was a separate and unaffiliated third party, but when my husband asked if that was the case, we were reluctantly informed that their shop was recently acquired by the big tech company that charges that fee. Which sounded weird because why would a tech company buy a flower shop and why would it also need to charge a service fee if they own the shop?? Super strange... So,I guess this 'service fee' is about ten bucks that isn't going towards the flowers, the box of chocolates; (or in this case, chocolate bar) it's not even going towards the delivery or as a gratuity to anyone making or delivering my gift. I've bought flowers many times before and when I order directly from a REAL florist, I've never been charged any sort of fee that can't be accounted for or justified. Bottom line is if you want to pay at least an extra ten dollars and then some that won't go towards your flowers, the staff, or anything else you might be ordering, this is probably what you're looking for.  If you're looking to get what you pay for though, I would recommend going through a real local florist, not a big tech company like the folks who apparently now own Flowers by Reni.

Sylvia took the time to meet with my husband and I before our wedding for a couple of hours to get to know us and our tastes. She came to the meeting prepared with tons of amazing flower recommendations, a photo collection to look through for inspiration, and a vast knowledge of beautiful color palette ideas and various styles. I'm not a flower expert, and since I was my own wedding planner, I was unsure of what I wanted (to say the least). Sylvia helped us to feel confident in our ideas - giving lots of guidance, but also listening to our ideas and helping us to articulate our vision. Throughout the planning process I changed what I wanted flower wise a number of times. Sylvia was completely flexible and patient and worked with me and my budget. As the wedding approached, she met us at the space for a walk through to confirm where everything needed to go, and to make sure we were on the same page, down to the last detail. I felt completely confident that my flowers would be beautiful by the end of the process. I was right to feel confident - they were beautiful! They captured the essence of my romantic, NYC Fall wedding perfectly. She traveled all over the city the day of to make sure groomsmen had boutonnieres and the girls had their flowers.
